Bug???: the VV set doesnt shred resistances while the anemo character is offield

The swirl registers in the reaction tracker, the electro dmg from swirl comes through, but the resistances are still at 10%
Nowhere in the VV set is it said that the character should be onfield
Is this a bug??? a well known thing??? what do i do?

It's been like that since the start of the game. The artifact description isn't still updated to this day that it should be on-field to trigger it

It doesn't work off field since 1.0

Artifacts and weapons that can trigger off field will have that condition listed in the description if they are.

The swirl happens after you switch out sucrose. The initial swirl needs to trigger when the equipped character is on field before swapped out.

Unless the effect isn't directly stated to work when character is off-field, it's best to assume it doesn't.

Probably a new player or someone who hasn't learned game mechanics until now since we can actually see the effects of those buffs and debuffs in real-time now.
