I genuinely hate how easy Genshin's bosses are.
I'd like to start off saying that this is my personal opinion and anyone who does enjoy the game's bosses is completely valid. You do you, if you are happy with the game's content, I am also happy for you!
On this post, I'll primarly talk about Genshin since it's the gacha I've played the most - But this goes for most gacha games in general.
While it is understandable why the game's bosses are easy - Since Genshin is a gacha game and its biggest financial gain comes from the gacha, in which they sell us broken characters that are MEANT to help us get through the content without breaking a sweat - That is still not an excuse for bad boss design.
Almost every boss in this game has:
\- A gimmick to make it weaker.
\- A way to counter it.
\- Long intervals between attacks.
\- A WHOLE phase in which they stand still.
They become less of a challenge and more just another guy to get mats from. It is quite a shame for a few of them that I genuinely like aesthetically speaking and have the hardest boss themes, yet, the fight itself does not match the energy and it just gets extremely underwhelming.
When Hoyo DOES try to give us a challenge, it's either by having us fight two (ore more) copies of the same boss at the same time or simply by giving it more HP.
It's predictable, repetitive and boring.

The average fandom is not people who like hardcore combat
If you don't feel like fitting in may be just find other games to suit your taste 🤷
>A gimmick to make it weaker.
Azhdaha,Apep or Arlecchino do not have that
"Almost every boss" while ignoring 3 of the more prominent ones.
Signora too btw
> A way to counter it.
When half dont have it, that half also dont have a way to counter it beyond not standing still and eating hits
>Long intervals between attacks.
So you want fast paced attacks? What else? Parry? Dodge and counter?
This is a mobile game first and foremost, not a console/pc game
> A WHOLE phase in which they stand still.
I wish they did
