Can someone explain this

I was exploring liyue to grind primos when I saw a geoculus all of a sudden but my statue is already at lvl 10. so is this just an extra 1 for something like a keepsake?

Yes, you get one extra for each region.

In each region you'll always have one left over as a souvenir.

Yes, spare to sit pretty in the inventory. Some people speculate we might have to combine them all for something at the end of the game/once Snezhnaya arrives. That could be neat, but I think a lot of casual players would complain about needing to have done all that exploration 😅

I am also thinking about the quantity of quest mementos we have acculumated during the years. I wish we could do something with them, but probably not.

For some reason, there is always an extra oculus.

Would it matter in the future? We don't know.

Is it just there much like how you can 100% and area without getting all of the chest and so that it would be easier to max out the statue? Not sure.

Either way, heres an extra oculus.

It's probably just a keepsake for people who want it.

If it was like the 100% of an area, it wouldn't always be just 1 more, there would be a few more.

Adding one more won't make completing the Sot7 a lot easier.

One souvenir for each region. I’m hoping to see a statue or stele either in Khaenri'ah or Celestia that takes the remaining 1 from each region to reward us with a… <insert amazing reward here>.
