Am I the only one who thinks it makes sense for the traveler's new outfits to not show in any quests yet ?
Like, I keep on seeing everyone complain about it, but idk, to me it makes sense
There's a lore reason why they got the new outfit, it's apart of the latest archon quest, so I don't see why the outfit should appear for other/older quests
It wouldn't even make sense to me, chronologically, the latest quest our travelers went to is the last archon quest, so it would be weird for them to have the new skin in quests that happened BEFORE they even got the skin in lore

Like yeah you can do them whenever you want, but it wouldn't make sense for some player to have them canonically later in their story than other players
I feel like the story for everyone should follow the same timeline, even if you can do the quests technically whenever you want, imo they still have a set timeline
AQ and SQ have relatively fixed (as in it might be before one question but no relation to the other one), but WQ and now, seemingly, events don't have hard fixtures on when they happen (events closer to SQ and AQ but still)
Also, "it wouldn't make sense for some player to have them canonically later in their story than other players" I don't see why? For canon of that player, it makes total sense, and canons of different players have no relation to each other (same way in RPGs you can do side quests at any point in time)
The skins prove it, it proves the game has a set timeline as you don't have them until after the travelers got them in canon timeline
And no it doesn't make sense ???
It's a game with a set story, having the story be so completely different just defies the entire point of having a set story lmao
Saying it makes sense would be like saying that a player who did the Nod Krai archon quests before the Inazuma ones has a timeline where the traveler actually did that
Like, no, that's just not how things work
The canon timeline still has you go from one nation to another in a certain order, even tho you cal technically do the quests in another order, same goes with other quests
I'm also not saying there is no timeline, I'm saying world quests are not fixed on that timeline by nature of being accessible whenever AND having differences based on your AQ progress. If they were fixed, for example, there wouldn't be differences since it would assume you already done/not done AQ
Point about Inazuma completely ignores context, as quick start is first, time limited thing, and secondly, specifically mentions skipping parts. World quests already available all the time, but you're the one choosing when to do it, and that choice have consequences. Quick start has no real consequence for the story. Yes, you might see it in different order, but contents of the quests doesn't change cuz of that. When you decide to do WQs in different order, there are consequences, contents of the quest do change (it might not be giant change, it's still change and intended).
Again, to bring up Natlan, by your logic, WQ character either appearing or not in Act 5 is either a bug or just plain bad design, I guess? Cuz why would there be a difference if it was not intended for there to be different ways of playthrough?
To me the quests that will release starting from now should get the new outfit, not any quests before that
Especially since the worldquests don't seem to have any strictly defined time period in which they happen.
But in general, being that Genshin is a single-player game, the chronological nature of the quests related to when they were released is just a suggestion on how each player's progression of the game should be. Nothing is stopping someone from doing the Archon Quests from Mondstadt to Nod Krai and only then doing the story quest for Klee. Overall, that is off chronologically. But for that player, does it really matter when it's their world to begin with? Ultimately the nature of how things progress in that player's world is made by the player. So if they get the new outfit and then play an old quest, it should appear when they have already completed the prerequisite quest to get said outfit and they chose to wear it.
