Unfortunately Ive had nothing but bad results from reshaping and they always somehow get worse than starting but this is the opposite and can't get any worse
NefariouslyEvil2026-01-20 17:53
This is why I stopped crafting artifacts and rerolling anything ๐ญ it just leads to disappointment lmao
Obvious-Childhood9102026-01-20 19:58
I mean it's nothing but a better chance of getting something you would rather get in rng
Expectation management is essential when playing games based on rng
NefariouslyEvil2026-01-20 20:19
Thatโs true, but honestly every single piece Iโve crafted hasnโt been good. So honestly Iโd rather just hold on to them and if I really want to use them, I will.
omegavolt92026-01-21 02:35
If only crafted artifacts always had all 4 substats unlocked from the start
AntwysiaBlakys2026-01-22 16:12
If you ever only get worse results it means you're rerolling already good artifacts
Reroll actually bad artifacts with good potential instead, like op's one
MofoPro2026-01-22 18:55
This is definitely not true , if they were already good I wouldnโt reroll .
FreeEstablishment8982026-01-20 16:39
I had the same thing happen to me too!!!! Why hoyo!! ๐
SHTPST_Tianquan2026-01-20 17:09
look at the positive: when rerolling, it's very unlikely this will go, if anything, any worse
Schubert1252026-01-20 18:12
Same 4 atk rolls, but the increase itself rolls even lower
SailcrVee2026-01-20 19:56
3-line start flowers aren't really worth rerolling tbh. Flowers and feathers are the easiest pieces to get with perfect substats since the main stat is fixed.
KiiZig2026-01-20 19:58
just as a potential option: if you go for a high atk stat, at some point, flat stats are more beneficial than atk%. ofc, this is highly dependent on a multitude of factors. i'm commenting this because my shenhe has actually an off-piece with flat stats equipped to make her have the highest atk possible for my account ๐ซฃ
ThisIsCrap122026-01-20 20:09
Damn, that's something new I learnt. Never thought flat stats are of any benefit, except maybe HP
KiiZig2026-01-20 20:14
though that is only under extreme circumstances possible! i use genshinoptimizer to check what gets me the highest atk, otherwise i wouldn't have learnt that aswell ๐ iirc she has a bit over 4350 atk baseline
Robin3432026-01-21 00:08
Nah I call bullshit on that. There is never any situation where flat attack is better than percentage attack. I think you're misinterpreting what the optimiser shows you.
sopunny2026-01-21 01:23
Even if it's true, that means 76 ATK is better than ATK%, which means both are useless
KiiZig2026-01-22 18:36
no, the atk% has diminishing returns due to the way % work. at some point flat atk outpaces atk%.
Robin3432026-01-22 20:05
You don't seem to understand how atk increases from substats work, let me explain it to you.
The amount or attack you get from %-atk or a substat roll (or any other source) is determined by multiplying that percentage with your base attack. Base attack is the base attack or your character added to the base attack of your weapon.
Flat attack is simply the value it gives as additional attack. Note that this value does NOT get added to your base attack.
Now the max roll for flat attack is 19. The min roll for atk-% is 4.1. This means the base attack needed for a MIN roll atk-% to be better than a MAX roll flat attack is 19/4.1*100=463.
The character with the lowest base attack is Columbina with 95 base attack. This means unless you have a weapon with less than 368 base attack, atk-% substats will always be better, and even 3 star weapons have 400 base atk.
neat-NEAT2026-01-21 05:20
? Surely that's only true when the main stat is atk%. Say Shenhe has 800 base atk including her weapon. A 5% atk% roll is still gonna add an extra 40 flat atk regardless of other atk% compared to a 16 flat atk roll.
You hit diminishing returns on atk because % buffs only go off base atk and not your atk stat as a whole. So 100 extra atk at 1000 total is a 10% increase in damage but that same atk buff at 3000 is only a 3.3...% increase. It's the same 100 atk whether its from flat atk or atk%. Just atk% will need less rolls to achieve that.
The only benefit for flat atk is that it's technically more valuable on characters with low base atk. Say a 4 star with 600 base atk will get less out of atk% than someone with 900. Even then, there's no characters where atk>atk% unless you don't have them levelled up.
KiiZig2026-01-22 18:40
you are actually spot on. like i said, only in extreme circumstances due to the way % work. at the highest%, atk% gets outscaled by flat atk
neat-NEAT2026-01-23 00:59
Please. Explain what those circumstances are.
LeastStatistician4812026-01-20 20:06

Curiosity ๐. Plus I can reshape.
BleedingUranium2026-01-20 22:06
As someone who doesn't do endgame stuff, what makes this not good? That's like four different versions of damage dealt stacked at once, seems like a nice roll if that's what you want from a character.
Edit: Ah, sorry, you meant all four upgrades going into flat ATK, yeah that sucks. :(
Voice-of-Reason-23272026-01-20 23:27
At first I was like "yum!" --> Then I saw that was after Lv20, & cried alongside you.
