Why tf does this team work?

Can someone explain to me how Lunar-Crystallize works? I used this team against Sigurd and pretty much melted through his hp bar. All characters are c0, xilonen is on a max def scroll build, zhongli on tenacity build for max hp, aino on unleveled noblesse and columbina on mid silken moons serenade. Idk how but I somehow got a 320k lunar crystallize from somewhere. For context, if I swap out xilonen for ANY other character, I cant beat sigurd. Am I missing smth about lunar crystallize? (I also should add, I'm new to lunar reactions, columbina is my only nod krai character besides aino, so maybe I'm just missing smth really obvious)

Lunar Crystallize, similar to Lunar Charged, looks at the damage of everyone who contributed to the hydro-geo application. Most of the total damage comes from the first 2 units in that ranking, so if you have at least 2 units in there with cracked crit / em stats they will carry the reaction.

Zhongli in particular is very good at triggering it since the moondrifts also resonate with his E (they are geo constructs).

My Zongli has 93.5 Crit DMG and 40 EM, my Columbina has 133 CD and 0 EM (I have gotten really bad artifact luck in nod krai so far), aino has 84.2 CD and 238 EM and Xilonen has 83.4 CD and 0 EM. Does Zhonglis pillar really do that much just by resonating? If yes then damn. Zonglis pillar is only at lvl 7. Anyway, thanks for explaining

There is also the additional massive bonus to Lunar reaction damage in that side of the abyss so there is that

the 320K was from columbina elemental skill direct damage. Lunar Crystallize works using all characters stats (level, crit, EM, lunar damage bonus) in wiki for further information.

current Zhongli is the best lunar trigger because pillar resonance can apply a lot of geo if there are many geo contructs and lunar crystallize depend of geo application rate, in theory in can be stronger than lunar charged.

Lots of different team combinations work it's just the meta chasers won't admit it and think there's only one way when in fact there's many different ways.

I also thought of that, but when I swapped Xilonen for Raiden or Nahida I gave up trying to beat Sigurd after 20+ minutes each. The difference in DPS confuses me

i wonder why you think having raiden and nahida for this team would result in higher or similar dps than if it was with xilonen? geo resonance alone already gives you so much dmg buff and lunar crystallize, then add % elemental RES decrease to that. its not even a comparison!!!
