The edges look like they're drawn by hand. Like when you draw in the dirt, there is a bit of residue on the sides and the middle obviously stays the same. I might be looking too much into it but considering how much of the moon is now embedded into the lore (we have officially gone to it). I think it's possible that could be a site for some other purpose.

Sorry, what I meant to say is that the edges of the supposed crater look like they're formed out of some drilling. Like when you draw a hole in the dirt. It feels irregular. Because of this, it looks like there's no dent in the middle but rather only on the sides. Also some weird pattern in the middle.

Even if we assume the HP went full Hulk and threw the spaceship towards the moon, it wouldn't explain why the crater has such peculiar details. As such, I believe it has nothing to do with the ship and that 'crater' is something else.

he didnt choose a peculiar crater. the crater is peculiar (and frankly, way out of scale) because of the *devs.* teyvat's texture had the entire world map wrapped around it, so they probably did a topology scan of the special area and plastered it on the moon for fun

I noticed it too, but I have no idea what it is, although it could be the temples on the moon because if there are any, Columbina mentions that they are there but not yet organized. We must also remember that somewhere on the moon, it was turned into a weapon, which is most likely on the dark side of the moon where it cannot be seen.
