I like to use Sacrificial Fragments on her, but maybe i can try again TTDS
ugur_tatli2026-01-20 21:48
Sacrificial fragments is great on her
Mango0272026-01-20 22:55
Yeah, I'm not sure why is not listed
Greypawz2026-01-20 23:03
Sac frags is just an EM stat stick, which is good for Citlali’s personal damage and shield strength. But any amount of damage gained from running sac frags is completely eclipsed by running TTDS and buffing your main DPS instead. The other weapons are still better than sac frags because their passives offer buffs to the team. Regardless, TTDS is your best bet aside from her sig unless you’re specifically playing a main dps that doesn’t scale off atk or your rotations don’t allow you to directly switch from citlali to your main dps.
MoonlitHolly2026-01-21 01:27
Sac Frags isn't JUST a stat-stick, the double skill gained from it is enough to fully refill citlali's Nightsoul Bar without need for burst. sure, this doesn't have too much use in some of her teams, but being able to further frontload/extend her cryo application, paired with the extra energy it grants, is why so many people DO use Sac on Citlali. it also helps her in teams where the rotations don't allow TTDS, or the dps isn't attack scaling
I'm not saying it's better than TTDS, but it's definitely a great option on her, and people are commenting about it because it deserves to be on this post! (I'd personally replace fav with it)
Greypawz2026-01-21 01:43
Yeah, that makes sense. I am struggling to think of what teams that would be the case though.. maybe Neuvi teams if you don’t have escoffier?
MoonlitHolly2026-01-21 01:44
even if you do have escoffier! you could run Furina/Neuvillette/Escoffier/Citlali!
Asplomer2026-01-21 17:39
I find sac to be very useful and very comfy on a mavuika, Citlali, furina, xilonen team. Running TTDS feels worse due to lack of cryo application and... Well I suck at rotations so it's buff goes to the wrong target
Rain-Maker332026-01-20 23:24
It's great because she can reliably fill up her nightsoul bar to the necessary level, every rotation.
Crimson_Raven2026-01-21 00:10
Not really
EM scales her personal damage and shield strength.
Her personal damage is poor already and her shield can be adequate from artifacts alone. Plus, the passive does nothing.
Better to give her a weapon that further buffs a character who already does most of the damage, like the various options here. TTDS is a notable choice.
kazuyaminegishi2026-01-21 04:51
The important part of Sac Frags is that it greatly lessens her energy requirements. It fills the same role that Fav would on her while giving her stats she scales off of.
Often times in a Mav comp she is the energy gate even with Bennet and Xilonen on Fav. A Sac frag proc solves that problem.
Crimson_Raven2026-01-21 05:05
Still not good. Her energy particle generation on skill cast is poor and its aoe is small.
You also introduce extra time in rotations. Finally, the trigger is inconsistent as she hits once. It's a stat stick.
Sac frags is only good if:
Her team doesn't have an attack scaler (TTDS)
You lack other buffing options
You have god-tier artifacts that meet her ER requirements and your team doesn't need a Favonius holder.
That's a very niche situation
kazuyaminegishi2026-01-21 05:31
Her particle generation only needs to be high enough to get her to burst consistently since she is the energy gate. So the low generation and lack of AoE are both non issues.
The extra rotation time is also fake since in order for Mav to melt consistently you have to delay anyway while the extra skill cast consumes more units of pyro aura.
Without Citlali burst active you cannot maintain cryo aura on the boss. TTDS does not give ANY energy or particle generation whatsoever every point you make about artifact quality and energy generation is doubly true for TTDS. The only perk it has over Sac Frags is the attack buffing which is a net loss if she doesn't burst to keep up cryo aura for Mav to melt off of.
Crimson_Raven2026-01-21 06:08
>Particle generation
Or...just build ER? It's not hard, she cares about one and a half stats: ER and EM
>Extra rotation time
A single N1 does the same thing and is much faster than an additional skill use + particle catch. That might actually mess up your melts.
Blud, Sac fragments sucks for her. it's a stat stick for a stat she only cares about because she has nothing else to build.
If you're running Mauvika, TTDS is the best by a mile. Give her ER sands and ER substats.
kazuyaminegishi2026-01-21 10:29
You're trying to have it both ways. You're both trying to claim Sac is bad because you would need optimized ER for it to be worth it while also trying to argue that TTDS is good because you just need to have optimized ER stats to be worth it.
You don't have a consistent point you have just come in with a conclusion and are working backwards to make it.
You're ultimately assuming that the argument is that sac frags is an optimal choice for her, when the argument is actually "sac frags is a serviceable option for her that resolves her personal ER issues while giving her a stat she uses, which makes it a decent option especially in the Mavuika comp where she only needs to provide energy to herself."
Crimson_Raven2026-01-21 14:31
You have misunderstood my point entirely.
SortaRandom2026-01-21 05:46
> Still not good. Her energy particle generation on skill cast is poor and its aoe is small.
Citlali's E generates 5.0 particles per cast, which happens to be the highest of literally any character in the game 💀
In terms of energy recovered for teammates, an extra E cast on Citlali is nearly as good as a fav proc (5 vs 6 energy for a non-cryo on-fielder), except it negates the need to build any crit on citlali AND it speeds up rotations by also negating the need to press Q
EDIT: There's also the wee fact that citlali's ER requirements are literally zero in rotations where sac frags goes off (i.e., 80% of them at R5 lmao)
Crimson_Raven2026-01-21 06:15
Oh okay, I was mistaken.
Yes, it's 5 particles. That's decent.
Still doesn't change that Sac frags is bad for her because she barely cares about EM.
The repeat skill is a gimmick.
Just...build ER. Her shield is solid enough with 2 EM mainstat relics alone, and her personal damage is laughable. You don't need anything else so give her a weapon that buffs or helps out the reast of the team.
Like Favonius Codex also fills most of her ER requirements and you can funnel the energy to teammates. It's better in nearly every situation.
All this is entirely moot if you use her with an attack scaler because then TTDS will always be better.
SortaRandom2026-01-21 07:15
I feel like you're not quite getting the whole "*fast rotations with 0 ER requirements* > *slower rotations with nonzero ER requirements*" thing...? Maybe I'm just slow today, but I don't understand what there is to be misunderstood here?
It's totally valid to use TTDS/Starcaller for offensive buffs or PAmber for healing if your team doesn't mind the extra setup time, but... *fav*?? The weapon whose only benefit for citlali is providing a grand total of ~~one (1)~~ three (3) extra energy PER ROTATION for your on-fielder compared to sac frags, while slowing rotations and directly gutting C1+ Citlali's offensive support?
> and you can funnel the energy to teammates.
Hold onto your hat when I say this, but you can do this with sac frags as well 💀👍

EDIT: Upon doing some testing, it turns out that Citlali's E spawns particles early enough that she can't realistically funnel all 10 particles to the next character, whereas Fav *can* funnel all 11 "particles" (5 from skill + "6" from fav proc) if you do Citlali QE instead of EQ.
Basically, the energy-funneling ranking is as follows (assuming Citlali appears once per rotation):
1. Fav Codex, Citlali does QE (5 caught + "6" caught = **11 energy for the on-fielder**)
2. Fav Codex, Citlali does EQ ([5 not caught]\*0.6 + "6" caught = **9 energy for the on-fielder**)
3. Sac Frags, Citlali does EE ([5 not caught]\*0.6 + 5 caught = **8 energy for the on-fielder; faster rotations since Q is not needed**)
so I may have been judging fav too harshly, especially for C0 citlali. A 3-energy advantage over sac is small, but it isn't *nothing*.

No mention of Instructor set?
It's pretty good in Melt team, if someone else holds Scroll.
Like Mauvika, who often has Iansan and or Xilonen
She gains some benefits from its EM buff and her star requirements are so low she can run the 4 star set + one 5 star offpiece without much loss
