Probably my favourite part of the new map( which I hate as a whole due to how small it is). Played it in the dark and the atmosphere was amazing throughout that whole quest.

I really liked how this showed that >!Koitar was able to regain her memories. Them being separated and memory wiped was such a sad ending to their story. Gives me hope that maybe the Voyager was/will be able to regain their memories as well!<

Yea I am hoping we see a conclusion to that, since Koitar said she will be waiting for them in her home city. And we know Skirk is searching for voyager so chances are they are still in Teyvat somewhere and can hopefully also regain their memories.

Is there importance to the actual structures around that area? The slim pillars and the crystal? Or is that a reused asset? It felt new to me but there's been so much in the game I don't know. Given the subject matter, I thought maybe it might be important, but it might also just look cool lol.

I'd say that it's mostly there to look cool. Maybe it's supposed to be angel/seelie creations, a tribute to Koitar. The interesting bits are giant harps that Traveler can hear, but Paimon can't.

My guess is that it's because of the scene in AQ where Varka cashes on the last Hexenzirkel favor Mondstadt had for extra protection. Both Varka and Nicole have a somewhat informal speaking style, so some might have interpreted their talk as flirting.
