Where to use, how to use, and what you can get with prismatic crystal in Genshin. (Read body text.)

Since I have seen a lot of questions about this but no “tutorial” posts about this I thought I’d share.

(First off, the second image is not mine but a screen grab of someone else’s answer to a question that led me to what I know now but can’t remember who so credit to this unknown person.)

First off, not every game in the wonderland workshop has the option so unless you find the one in my images (Hunt the Tomb Raider) you will need to poke around until you find one that does.

Once you’re there go to what I will call the “achievements page” of that game and tap the circled tab in the second image. Once you do, an in game tutorial will commence from whence the rest of my images were taken.

These “mini-game boxes” are exclusive to each game that provides them and as far as I have been able to find have no benefits beyond the mini-game you purchase them for or from.

This may change in the future but until then (as this \[free\] currency has an expiration date it’s best to see if you have any favorite games that allow it and “use it before you lose it”.

So far the Devs responsible for MHY just do a garbage job at explaining things.. they just constantly add new mechanics, and expect from the players, that we instantly understand everythign, how stuff works out, for what king of stuff certain things are even useful for, or exist for.. no tutorials which explain these mechanisms then ..

Started for example with this kind of pointless Like button, that everybody can basically spam press.. now the next thign with these Spectral Stones/crystals and the Boxes.. where the boxes itself were alreasdy before just implemented and not described at all, whats their reason of existance even.. not explaining the currencies and how you get the stuff, not explaining that you need to craft the stuff first, if you actually want to use it and so on


and not, its not free currency.. these lousy 150 of this new junk currncy, were free, so that MHY coudl say. we gave you some, so that you can test the feature ... but if you want to get more, than the 150 test units, then you have also directly to pay real money, because natural, as whatever else was naturally expectable from this greedy company, the only way to get more of this stuff, is by trading the blue currency with it, that you get only for paying for it with real money..

And serious,y whats the fucking point of paying real money, for an artificial currency, to trade it for an other artificial currency, thats used then only for useless gift boxes you can purchase with them, if you have received the fittign "Achievement" first, when that feature for getting something from this new currency even doesn't exist yet .. it feels liek they just freaking intentionally split up all they greedy plans with MW into lots of tiny puzzle pieces, just so that the players find out basically first months over months later, what all the point is from all these small incomplete mechanics they added over tiem from patch to patch, until these things make finalyl somewhen a full picture of what the purpose of all these various things is together, instad of adding just the whole thing in one direct go and explain directly and honestly, what they plan on doing with MW.

But the way I see it, it seems that try to turn MW more n more into a cash grab for whales and content creators, because they know, thats the only target group of peopel, which is insane enough to go all the way with them through MW and its greedy monetization design with all those skins, that MHY now suddenly produces in light speed in masses, the real game players could only dream about for the last 5 years

Imho they should have just given us the 160 Chronal Nexus and then let the players decide whether they'd want to purchase one limited-time banner pull, one or two items from the Miliastra Shop, or the Prismatic Crystals with them. I honestly don't play a single Wonderland so much that I'd want/need to get more perks or items to use in that specific Wonderland, so it kinda feels a bit wasted to have those Crystals in my inventory and not know what to do with them until they expire.

I wish there was an easier way to see at a glance which games use these. I've only found one among the games I play regularly - Minesweeper. The stuff it unlocked wasn't great, though; alternate themes for the Minesweeper game boards that were much worse than the original theme since the numbers are no longer color coded (and kinda difficult to read).

Thank you for explaining it, it was really helpfull. I was going crazy not knowing what it can be used for. I genuinely thought it was some made up currency, because no item in shop could be purchased with these crystals

The Miliastra UI reminds me of a Japanese department store. There's so much going on and signs/text everywhere. Nothing is easy to focus on and a lot of the information is hard to digest. I wish Mihoyo would have put more effort into the normal game instead of trying to find yet another way for people to make their exec's bank accounts even fatter.
