SomeoneSayOri2026-01-21 05:01

we ain't never getting drip marketing 🥀

Chucknasty_172026-01-21 06:33

We’re officially in the ZZZ drip marketing schedule, where the time and date is determined purely on vibes

I_am_indisguise2026-01-21 07:35

Honestly, I really like how ZZZ does it. Everything is chill and going so smoothly, and suddenly surprise mf, S rank Anby

That method gives drip marketing it's value

Ryuunoru2026-01-21 18:40

Oh no!

99cent-tea2026-01-21 05:06

Took a lot of inspiration from FFXIV this time huh

(This is literally the palm from Aglaia’s alliance raid)

QuattroChar2026-01-21 05:12

the whole fight felt like i was playing ffxiv lol

99cent-tea2026-01-21 05:15

Yup, gaze and reverse controls

At least the platform doesn’t rotate 😂

respscorp2026-01-21 09:13

And rifts where you have to kill adds, and ecliptic meteor, and laser wall (from the newest alliance raid) and the in and out drones, plus he fights like a Sage

Curledin2026-01-21 06:50

Well, no. If anything both of them are inspired by journey to the west where Sun Wukong is challenged to travel the universe and then what he thinks is the "edge" turns out to be Buddha's palm and he never even managed to leave his hand.

99cent-tea2026-01-21 06:51

Sure if you want to interpret it as that

But if you’ve ever played FFXIV then you’d know exactly what I’m talking about, the other commenter understands me because both the stage and the boss mechanics are both raid related

Zendravel2026-01-21 09:46

Human experimentation, subjugation of divinity, magitek, wanton use of power...Dottore would've been right at home in the Allagan Empire. I see the Rhalgr stage with the palm, but my first thought upon seeing the stage and all of its magitek trappings is T5 with the dragon claw/palm arena (Twintania incoming!).

Neospanner2026-01-21 16:35

Not even the first time it happened in FFXIV. There was also the battle on Bahamut's palm during Turn 5 of the Binding Coil of Bahamut.

Teito_2026-01-21 05:06

pretty impressive for a blue haired college dropout 💙

narfidy2026-01-21 05:12

My favorite part of the whole AQ. Proof even I can achieve great things

Aozora4042026-01-21 05:50

A college dropout from the desert used his sheer human intellect to seize the greatest and most ancient authority in the world, and was only defeated by the combined power of a descender and the trilune goddess.

You know what? In any other franchise Dottore would be the protagonist.

BalefulShrike2026-01-22 02:35

Dottore just repurposed Deshret tech for everything, his entire arsenal screams 'primal constructs', even his battle theme is kinda sumerian. So the true MVP was always Al Ahmar, all hail Lord of the Red Sands!

PostHasBeenWatched2026-01-21 09:19

>blue haired

You mean he was in love with MC since childhood but then become [losing heroine](https://www.reddit.com/r/Frieren/comments/1eelxes/why_losing_heroine_is_blue/) because of transferred student?

Teito_2026-01-21 15:01

omg thats a crazy pull 😭 dottore losing heroine archetype is not something i expected to realize today

PostHasBeenWatched2026-01-21 18:57

And Columbina is almost literally "transferred student"

Salter_KingofBorgors2026-01-21 22:02

Would definitely explain how he acted in the AQ. 'Descender-senpai please notice me'

AceWissle2026-01-21 09:59

He's freaking badass, nobody can deny that, heh

Frozenmagicaster2026-01-21 05:08

doesn't this mean tomorrow is :( time

BillysTown2026-01-21 05:29

Probably or they might post another cutscene in a few hours , iirc they did this for Rerir backstory cutscene

SecyaDenali2026-01-21 05:11

I try to talk to dude he reappers upside down on the ceiling. Bruh be normal for 5 seconds lol

Desperate-Owl-48302026-01-21 05:11

Holy i wonder when varka's drip market, the reason columbina drip delay was due to the spoiler.

I wonder whats the reason for varka delay even to the point today in wed theres no drip.

goodmqn_222026-01-21 05:13

I have 9999 apples ready to throw at Dottore. How's yours?

Pur3strownu2026-01-21 05:13

Now that I think about it... why did he even do that? Just aura farming?

LiamMorg2026-01-21 05:34

Yep, he gave himself a makeover, conjured up a whole-ass arena and split the false sky just to look cool.

TetraNeuron2026-01-21 07:50

Splitting the sky screwed himself over because it let Team Traveller pull the Frostmoon into inside the False Sky

LiamMorg2026-01-21 07:58

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that the plan did not require the sky to be split open because otherwise Team Traveler's entire plan relied on a contrivance

Fit-Limit-91952026-01-21 10:59

Seeing as they pulled it through the firmament anyways the hole Dottore made almost definitely didn't matter.

Kostuchan2026-01-21 17:39

Dottore closed the rift before the moon was pulled through it. So yes, the rift wasn't necessary.

TheWitcherMigs2026-01-21 12:37

The fact that he closed it and they still managed to push it down was to shown they didn't need it to be open at all, but it for sure worked a lot in the visual aspect

Weary-Duck-74342026-01-21 06:23

I think he did that to have better control over the frostmoon authority. Since the artificial moon marrow is supposed to be a substitute for the actual frostmoon marrow. I guess he's fooling the world into giving him authority.

3stoner2026-01-21 08:07

MurderOfBirds recently made a video on the whole skysplitting, its a very good watch

Captain_Jackson2026-01-21 16:20

so he could yeet moon fragments at you during the fight

PhantomHeartless52026-01-21 05:13

Dottore vs Lucilius from *Granblue Fantasy*. Who wins?

6991120267752026-01-21 05:21

I don't fucking care

Where's Varka

Petter17892026-01-21 13:37

At the Knights of Favonius camp

Ryuunoru2026-01-21 18:42

Get lost, this isn't a varka thread.

Fullpotentialk2026-01-21 05:25

He is genshin Vox if Vox is actually not carried by making the entire cast dumb as hell

reallygoodbee2026-01-21 06:05

He unzips the sky, then rezips it later like https://tenor.com/oDCsopAJ18f.gif

DottoresPet2026-01-21 06:05

Hoyo please make Dottore playable!!!

DaisukeIkkiX2026-01-21 06:09

what's the point of opening the sky if he's just gonna close it back later smh

NecessaryOk45072026-01-21 06:40

What confuses me about the part where he cuts through the sky - isn't space supposed to be red? At least that's how the space outside the false sky has always been. Or did he just do this to show the moon, which was within the false sky? Then I don't understand what for 😭

earthlydreamer2026-01-21 18:19

The sky splitting might be an illusion he created. For what? Who knows. Maybe to help heroes to pull the moon down, maybe as an intimidation tactic of sorts. Or maybe he is just dramatic, especially with how he moved his arms like a magician before splitting sky.

CryoStrange2026-01-21 10:53

Dottore's VA did the most impressive voice acting in this quest imo. Hoyo cooked with Dottore's dialogues, boss design, music everything.

OPPA_XL_AGANE2026-01-21 13:35

Just noticed that Lauma's horns grow after the sky opens.

slowdruh2026-01-23 12:56

bro unintentionally buffed the enemy team's healer, match losing move

Luneward2026-01-21 15:50

The whole AQ made me really start to wonder what it actually takes to attract the attention of the Shades. Sure, it started with Fontaine. Focalors destroys one of the thrones and there's not a peep out of HP or the Shades.

In the animated short, it makes it seem like the Shades can potentially punish people for even knowing forbidden knowledge. Yet here we have a guy seizing lunar authority and screwing with Time, Space, and Life. Sure, the Sustainer is MIA so he wouldn't get her attention, but you would think Istaroth would have at least... noticed something. If not did something.

Ryuunoru2026-01-21 18:40
