Any team comp suggestions or tips for the crab on stygian onslaught fearless difficulty? i feel like it’s kinda impossible without Neuvillette.

I don't have wriothesley but maybe he'll work for you? just replace Yelan with Xingqiu, make sure you have sac sword and enough ER to get burst after 2 skills.

They were using hold mode on skirk then swapping out and, when they switched back in she had the rifts, bursted without using skill again and that way it was off cooldown so he could go straight into tap mode

i think furina should be better in terms of hydro app, but i dont have her...i would say the struggle comes from getting cc by the crabs so that's why I just placed citlali there for shield and nightsoul burst to help mualani

I assume yours is built really really well and probably some constellations too, I'm not sure (?) I saw some people still struggle clearing it with Skirk. Essentially without neuv, this boss is nearly unbeatable

What's the build and cons on your characters? how did you have enough hydro app to destroy shields and where did mualani damage come from when you don't have pyro for vape?

C0R1 Escoffier (4p gt), C6R1 Yelan (4p emblem), C0R1 Citlali (4p scroll), C0R1 Mualani (4p codex) was my first try with 111s. I also tried with other characters with mualani as the main dps and my best time now (103s) is with C0R1 Xilonen (4p scroll, didn't even bother changing it) instead of Escoffier...I think the mechanic is dealing vape on the sternshield crabs to do the damage for you...my record shows mualani dealt 961554 strongest single strike so maybe the crabs have natural pyro aura? Hydro app with mualani and yelan C6, yelan cons add a lot of hydro app and the sternshield crabs huddle together so it's easier to hit all of them with both yelan E x2 and mualani stacks

For me, I had Mualani, Escoff, Citlali, C2 Furina. Furina + Mualani (with huge focus on trying to hit all 3 crabs with each skill attack as much as possible. If you can also hit big dude even better) was enough hydro to break it 3 times I think. The small crabs have permanent pyro so you're always vaping, and Damage you deal to the crabs carries over to the main crab.
For me, I needed to prioritize survival (Citlali Shield + Escoff heal burst) and popping crabs with Mualani. This meant I actually skipped Furina burst once or twice because I needed to be able to pop the last crab shield in time.

I didn't burst on Mualani until literally the very end as the last shield broke. Most your Damage comes from small crabs, but if you're still in Mualani skill when shield is broken, feel free to hit it once or twice (but keep hitting any lingering crabs to prepare for next 'round')

I can't give a definite answer to that because I don't have Furina. Pros with using Yelan is that her E can link all of the crabs while evading their attacks. But at C0, Yelan has poor hydro app for multiple enemies and it's her cons that give her more usable hydro app but even that is still on a cooldown. So I think Furina is still better because of uptime. Though Furina might struggle focus firing the Sternshield Crabs instead of the boss.

I don't have Yelan anyway so she's not an option. I do have Xingqiu but I don't know how well he works with Mualani since she doesn't do constant hydro attacks.

My only two options for this boss in terms of Hydro on-fielders are Mualani and Kokomi, unfortunately. > < I really hope I can squeeze out a win somehow.

Replace Wrio with XQ and it's exactly my team. Unfortunately I still couldn't beat it, only leaving the crab with 10%-20% HP. Maybe you can try

You can probably try putting wrio back and replacing Yelan with XQ instead. I found his hydro app better at destroying the crab shields, you need sac sword and enough ER to get ult within 2 skills.

The way I see it without neuv is you need someone who can break the little crabs shield fast and a good DPS to deal enough damage while the main crab's shield is down. I like XQ better since he's offield and you can slap noblesse on him, so my main DPS can still hit.

first team rotations? if you're struggling with energy and dps for the chickens, here’s what i do:
my setup: i start with a charged attack (ca) from fischl, then use aino's skill to get her burst ready (sms + flame reforged + 170% er). wait for the big dog to enter its shield phase before you actually start the full rotation.

the rotation:
fischl skill > aino burst > sucrose swirl (ttds) > flins. then, refresh oz with fischl’s burst and restart the cycle. just a heads-up, my flins is c2r1, which is why i dump all the nodkrai support onto nefer—she’s basically just c0r0 without lauma.

you’ve gotta be sharp with dodging the dog’s attacks and lasers because this comp is basically sustainless. on the bright side, you get the hexen buff for both fischl and sucrose. if you’re struggling to stay alive, you could swap fischl for

Childe, Furina, Columbina, Baizhu.

E on Fur/Bina to start. leave Bai out of rotation except when crab goes underground (perfect for using his 2Es.

Keeping my rotation and not screwing up Childe's burst to leave CD messed up was hardest part.

Was down to last 2 seconds.

Definitely a tough one If the crabs automatically spawned on you it would be much easier, chasing them around was a big time loss.

any tips i could use, my skirk teams w c5 mona, citlati c1 yelan etc dont work on the crab so i use that as i dont have escoiffier and nevu. so i sub in bina and ineffa

However this causes my wolf team to not have a 4th best in slot to deal hydr o application, maybe a diff team like hyperbloom or mav preimum but i lack dmg idk need help
