if i play columbina on nefer team, should i build her with EM or HP substats? i am running hp, hp, crit on her main stats but i was thinking of getting her circlet using the transmuter and one subsat will be crit, what should the other be? HP or EM?

She doesn't scale with EM, it's just an incidental bonus. Focus on getting enough ER first, then the rest can go into HP and crit.

Exalted Ones are based on which characters are popular for Dire clears on that server. The game needs some time to gather data on Dire clears before it initializes the Exalted One lineup.

I m using ineffa Bina duo.
(with albedo chaska ik it's not optimal but yeah)

Ineffa has 2600 atk is it better to switch to em goblet.

Imo, no because Ineffa's shield is based on ATK, and for me, I'd rather have a better shield than more damage. Mainly because in Flins's team there's usually no room for a healer

Stygian Onslaught is driving me nuts! I don't have Nefer und I already need my Flins against the Fireblade Shocktrooper. My Neuvillette is able to deat the Emperor of Fire and Iron, so no problems here.

But who do I play against the Lord of the Hidden Depths? My second team contains Flins, Ineffa, Columbina and Aino. So they are out of the race. What is this boss? Get Nefer or f\*ck yourself?! Who else should I pick? I've tried Alhaitham, Yelan, Lauma, Baizhu for Hyperbloom but it' no use. My Arlecchino is also not strong enough.

I’ve got a good Flins Team with Bina, Ineffa and Sucrose,

My current second team is Arle melt with Benny and Citlali currently without a good fourth option. Should Kazuha or Xilonen fill this slot? They’re the only other 5 stars I have. But plenty of other common 4 stars.

Or should I swap Sucrose over to Arlecchino team and put Jahoda with Flins instead?

Lunar damage in the abyss monster. For fearless, when summons the fishers, attack the boss itself with lunar damage. Once the shield is gone, the fishers will disappear

The only ones that I think kinda qualifies are the 3 subplots:

\- The original Fatui project a.k.a the one "chaired" by Marionette in NK (e.g the Lunar I research bureau infiltration world quest etc.)

\- The Reed Miller subplot which is kinda finished this patch.

\- General NK history e.g of the Frostmoon Scions, Lightkeepers and their past/present relationships which can be considered a major WQ chain.

How is Columbina full wheel chair team with ineffa, Lauma and one more support character for the 4th slot, preferably, another hydro character compared to Nefer premium team with Columbina, Lauma, nahida or Flins premium team with Columbina, ineffa and sucrose? Is it stronger or weaker or around the same?

Also, how about Columbina, Ineffa, Lauma and Illuga c2? Is it her best wheel chair team or it would be overwhelming for her hydro application and become weaker? If so, I would stick to the double hydro Columbina wheel chair team.

The new boss in SO is destroying me even at Menacing.

I can barely beat a single one of its minions using Nefer's premium team.

I tried Colombina - Ineffa - Sucrose core and it didn't do much good either.

Is there a trick to it that I'm too dense to understand?

In your opinion, is still worth it to pull for Ineffa when I already got Columbina? I usually play Nefer/Lauma/Kokomi/Yae. I was thinking of getting Ineffa for Lunar-Charged, but I realize Columbina could do that on her own...? I'm not really good with understanding talents, so I just want to know if it would help me with overworld and bosses.

I would wish for Columbina's weapon, but nobody has enough primos for that! I'm not exactly wishing until Nicole maybe.

Columbina enables the lunar-charged reaction on her own, but the reaction isn't much more damage than the normal version. Ineffa herself is what does all the damage. If you like Yae, then I'd say getting Ineffa would be worth it. Then you can play a strong Yae+Ineffa+Bina team and a strong Nefer+Lauma+Aino team, or a ultra-strong Nefer+Lauma+Bina team and a decent Yae+Ineffa+Aino team.

i never had any big problem doing the stygian monthly resets until now, usually i’m fine doing up until the menacing because i know my characters are not that invested for the fearless/dire but for today’s update i’m literally STUCK on the fuckass new abyss boss. i don’t have any nodkrai 5* because i saved for durin, his weapon and venti new bis (i have both at r2) and now i’m saving for varka. it’s not that i don’t like nodkrai’s 5* and i plan to pull for them later on i just don’t want them *NOW* but the game is basically telling me “ahaha you didn’t pull for them? well now you’re fucked”.

what i want to know is, am i really fucked and i should give up or is there someone that can suggest me a team with the characters i own with i can beat the abyss thing? for the fatui and the crab i already used clorinde/ororon/furina/xilonen and wriothesley/yelan/xingqiu/escoffier and i wish to not change this since i don’t want to do everything from the start again. i will be very grateful and happy if anyone can help me 🙏🏻

It charges up a super move while the shield is up. If you're getting one-shotted, that means you took too long, and it finished charging.

What characters do you have? Mav can do it with Citlali, Bennett, and Kazuha/Venti. Just have to attack the small summoned creatures and be ready with burst once they die to attack the main guy. This might help too - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkuEiyA7alg

Yeah, if Mav can't do it then I'm not really sure what other options you have since that seems like the highest damage team without Nod Krai characters. Maybe someone else can suggest something. Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck. You've got a lot of time to work on rotations/combos though so might be something you can improve on.

Just go hard on the Hydro app, and be sure you use a buffed Skirk Burst as soon as it's shield breaks, NA Skirk takes too long for it's short DPS window. But yeah, it'll be tough.,

Hello,
I am in need of some advice and opinions, maybe even experience.
Right now I am thinking of getting both Ineffa and Columbina (i have neither atm). I already have Lauma, Aino/Jahoda (both low constellation). Currently I am not planning to get Flins, Zibai I don't really know.
To me it seems that both Columbina and Ineffa are somewhat flexible and good value pulls and together they can carry/wheelchair a team. Am I right in that assumption? Because I have and like a lot of characters that could use said wheelchair like Eula, Raiden, Yae, Keqing, Yelan, Sara, Lisa, Beidou, Lynette, maybe even Yoimiya. I am guessing Amber is still a bit far fetched though unfortunately. Can these two new 5* bring these characters back so a team with them doesn't feel too weak? I am aware that it's Combina/Ineffa who do the majority of the work in these teams.
Maybe they can even help generally with Hydro, Electro and Anemo characters, maybe Pyro with overvape too, maybe Navia?

I would appreciate any info, opinions and experience, thanks a lot.

they can wheelchair anyone and be fine but make sure you really like them if you are going to do this cause they will probably be one of your main teams for years so if you want to do other teams, plus in those teams your not really playing the other characters they are just coasting along. (i have never seen eula wheelchair by these 2 though i don't see how she could since they have very little interaction with physical) and keep in mind raiden and mavuika are both due reruns soon

i thought eula could work because there's lots of offfield damage and there is at least superconduct. i think furina ineffa and mika is the current best team for her where she deals lots decent damage and things are somewhat focused on her, i could be wrong though.

i already got raiden and i actively dislike mavuika. so i am not really eyeing anyone really. i kinda like venti but it never really made sense for me to go for him. durin and mavuika would make sense but i dont really like them enough, i am kinda indifferent to durin and we talked about mavuika akready.

Hello, after considering which characters are actually included in To temper thyself event I think I am in doubt between three character constellations:

. Wanderer : gains more atk speed at c1, I play him a lot (like 90% of the time) because i like exploring while flying and I feel like the last airbender when I shred enemies

. Baizhu : gains an additional E at c1 making him more versatile, I also play him a lot with wanderer

. Shenhe : gains additional E at C1, her story made me cry, I like her character a lot, I currently don't play her much because her E cooldown is so long, this could help

Which is the best choice?

Most likely Wanderer, since you say you play him a lot. Unless you feel like Baizhu is unreliable at present, not healing enough and not quite having burst ready when you want it.

Shenhe C1 doesn't really fix her cooldown being long, it's more a fix to her energy requirements being high. Most rotations where Shenhe is good account for her full cooldown, except Ayaka teams that can really benefit a lot from her C1. So if you're an ex-Ayaka player, C1 Shenhe and Escoffier rerun might be enough to make you play her again and be good.

Yes. And it's actually the best way to spend your Resin early on: Mora and XP Leylines.

You also get XP books from chests, quests and events which isn't exactly fast.

I mean lots of things give exp-books. but other than leylines none give them in bulk.
I am not 100% certain but i think most quests, chests and events give them as well. I am not sure about dailies, but they might do as well. and if you have a teapot you can buy a certain amount of heros witt there every month.

Mora and xp books are largely 'passive income', you regularly get some from lots of things (chests, events, Teapot, bp.. ) , and it adds up over time.

For actual focused income leylines are the place to be.

i get most of mine from exploring you get a lot from chests i haven't had to use resin on books exept for getting characters from 80/90 - 90/90

Other tip is to not level up too many characters. You should be getting enough xp books from quests and exploration to keep 4-6 characters mostly up with difficulty. If you do more, then you’ll be slowed down by resin, both for boss mats and xp/mora.

Supports can be left around 60/70 for a while. Just to get the passive talent.

Weapons are cheaper and stronger to upgrade. Make sure you use Resin maxing those out before character level. Same with talents (only the relevant ones) and even basic artifacts now that you are >AR45 (usable mainstat is goal, not perfect). Character level is one of the least important way to improve most characters (exceptions exist).

guys so i have a mid ineffa build and some ok durin arts but i got no silken moon arts for aino , besides i might get flins in future so which set reward should i choose in stygian ? also i havent built my sucrose vv set too so i was thinking using the crafting to make her arts

Same choice you'd make during regular artifact farming. I'd probably get a Silken set first, then switch to Aubade/Rising Winds. Strongbox for VV.

So, I'm a new player in Genshin Impact. Have been playing here and there and got only Chasca, Mualani and Lauma of limited characters. I'm almost at the pity to get a guaranteed 5-star limited and thinking about pulling Columbina. Any tips for making the game more feasible? There a lot of quests and exploration to do, but they feel so unrewarding. I'd have to spend hundreds of hours just to get enough pulls to get one limited character T\_T

focus on 1 dps you like and get a team thats good for them, just take your time with quests and exploration, don't play for the gatcha play for the story and you will like the game more. if you just want the combat and pulls dont bother with quests as they are there more for lore then for primos

Tip 1: don't pull Columbina, pull Ineffa instead. She's far more versatile and undoubtedly the better pickup in a vacuum.

Tip 2: yeah, taking a long time is just how it is. You get a major chunk of your pulling income from dailies. Doing grindable content is still meaningful, but take it at your own pace. Enjoy the ride and don't rush.

E: you may also be better served by an onfielder instead. Consider waiting a few more weeks for Varka.

my ruleset is as long as you can heal others your a healer (+neuv cause his whole kit revolves around healing himself)

It's your personal challenge, you must decide how strict it is, and what counts for it. (only allowed to play Bina in Nod-Krai? :p)

I would consider revives as healing, more than Neuv at least. But give her Prototype Amber to maintain minimum healing duties in the meantime.

Yeah that can count as healing, though with a caveat. Unlike Barbara, Qiqi and Dahlia, Columbina's revive works only in Nod Krai. Within your rules that means that you can only use her while exploring Nod Krai I guess.

Well depending on if you count weapon healing as legit a.k.a Prototype Amber. That basically means you can play any Catalyst-user as long as they are only using it as weapon.

In that sense e.g it is also up to you if e.g Lauma C1 heals count for example.

I’m trying to get a second team to finish the abyss
I heard Neuvillette is coming but also heard he is not meta anymore
Don’t get me wrong I just looking for a dps that can solo carrying maybe ? Like I can clear with Mavuika and Citlali the abyss , I need the achievement for the platinum
I don’t have any other 5 stars characters but I’m working my way to pull for the next team
Should I go with Neuvillette or that new character or should I just wait , who will be be a better pick .. I will go for the character weapon as well

If you only focus on meta then neuvillette might not be the best choice. i wouldnt consider him to be part of the very best characters anymore.

though lots of the really strong teams kinda need two characters to really work (flins/ineffa, nefer/lauma, skirk/escoffier).

mualani does decent with a cheap team so she could be of interest, though her playstyle is kinda special and not too well received i think. varesa is okay with chevreuse, but prefers to use durin/mavuika as well.

but instead of going for the 5* that gets you a second really good team the fastest i usually recommend to go for characters you like, or at least somewhat like. so i would look at the current strong teams that don't need characters of your first and try to build that team. ineffa/columbina are a strong combination that work well with many units so that's an option as well.

with the ongoing power creep it's difficult to say what will be in the future so i dont think you can make a certain decision either way.

if you have any more specific questions feel free to shoot them, but i don't plan on making a decision for you.

1. Let’s say the event has ended and it restarted, would that be the perfect time to grind for those constellations?
2. Would I be able to get all the constellations for a single character or does it have to be different?
3. When did the event start?

1. As soon as possible, it will run in a "season" and you have to clear enough weeks during the "season".
2. No, it is strictly capped at 1 per offered character, and you have to also own that character first.
3. At the start of a major version a,k.a Luna I a.k.a 6.0 and in the middle of it a.k.a around 6.4.

The event is designed to encourage consistent play. The start of a cycle isn't really "the perfect time to grind", because you'll need to keep going for a majority of the cycle to get the constellation. If you're the kind of person to feel like this is a grind, 8 weeks of grinding may cause some burnout.

That said, the earlier you start, the better. Trying to cram everything into the last 8 weeks of a cycle is risky.

As for your other questions, the first cycle started at the start of Nod-Krai, and you can only claim 1 constellation per character, no matter how many event cycles you finish.

What's the best team I could use to take on Fearless abyss dog? Assume crit dps have at least 70/140 crit and everyone have enough ER%

I tried Nilou/Bina/Lauma/Baizhu, but there's no grouping to kill the smaller mobs

So I swapped Nilou for Kuki and Baizhu for Kazuha but hyperbloom is single target.

I tried to bruteforce with Mavuika premium (replacing Bennett with Kazuha for grouping), but Mavuika can't burst twice before it absorbs the small mobs

Like obviously there are days where a whole new region is out and there's a lot of events so I can get like 30-40 pulls but not including any of that and only including basic stuff like welkin dailies and exploration, is 1, 2 or even 3 pulls a day a healthy amount to save? I used this method of trying to get 2 wishes a day no matter what on the side of always doing events and completing new regions and I got 220 wishes from 6.0 to 6.3.

I don't see how the lvl of the Meeting Places matter. Doing all the quests leads you to all the Lunoculi and the compass should track the normal ones in the overworld.

There is at least 1 untrackable in the 6.0 region. Just outside of Nasha Town, the "find 10 lil robots" puzzle.

Meeting places at level 5 upgrade your compass to level 3, which a level 3 compass is supposed to highlight every in a given area under a particular meeting place.

That’s mostly the baseline if you include events. About 70-80 wishes a patch, 6 weeks. So 11-14 wish/week. About 2 a day. How much more beyond that depends on how much you have left to do and how much you play. Hard to say what is “healthy” for that.

That was a rough fearless SO, but once the exalted buffs came through, it was a much easier.

Once again Mavuika can brute force alot of the bs, although using her with Bina and Ineffa some worked against the first thing.

Surprised Skirk wasnt exalted cuz she is good against the shock trooper.

The last one is trivial with the Fontaine power wash team.

well no point finishing lunar stages if you dont finish act 10
so should restart until you can save something good enough for act 10
you still have about 10 days to build up something extra

you can buff reactions to handle early stages with weaker characters, and save more for later
i will assume you borrowed something thats stronger than what you own

assuming you picked up at least some electro charge buffs
and Venti burst absorbing hydro

well you cant change anything on him without restarting
you basically just put a scroll set on him and ER to burst, then whatever to increase his damage. something like ER/electro/crit
he has a passive that keeps doing damage and applying electro when you cause ec/lc or attacking with other Natlan characters

you could put in Thoma instead? Thoma has shields and his burst works with Venti's infused normal attacks during his burst
or Chevreuse who's kit doesnt work but at least you have some healing

Beidou skill and burst
Thoma skill and burst
Mona skill burst and some 4 normal attacks, this extends burst a bit. dont bother doing more of it
Venti skill burst and then start normal attacking with him too until tornado ends

Furina c4 gives her energy back which allows her to run either more damaging weapons or be able to burst quicker in SO. C5 is a +3 to skill for more damage. C6 lets her heal her team with her infused normal attacks or drain the team and deal more damage with her infused attacks. The real value gain is the ability to run Furina teams without having to also bring a healer along. If you are already playing teams that optimally run a strong healer (like Escoffier), then the total gain from the c6 is not that high. If you are playing teams that want the damage bonus but don’t have a good healer option then she becomes a sub dps, healer, and buffer in one slot.

Which makes it get complicated as you are no longer looking at one team with the same teammates (just altered damage distribution/buffs) vs a team with completely different teammates. It also allows Furina to deal some damage herself if you vape andor vape plunge her damage.

Both possibilities are useful but for different reasons. It would either give you a flexible support core that you could flex with different on fielders or a strong dps/support combo that would be able to potentially brute force content with. IMO neither are bad choices and depend on what you plan to do in the future and how many primos you currently have.

Fearless SO is pretty much impossible now, I've noticed. I don't have, nor do I want to get, Flins, Ineffa, or Nefer. I *thought* Columbina and Lauma (C0R0) would have been enough for the first boss, but apparently not. I also tried brute forcing with Mavuika (C0R1), but even that wasn't enough, barely passed it in Menacing (Benny, Citlali, Kazuha). Never enjoyed Fearless tbch. Last time, and one of the other times it was enjoyable, but every single other one has been a massive pain, and frustrating to the nth degree.

I guess I have to just reorient my thinking to Menacing being the limit for "well-invested" teams, whereas Fearless is for shill characters, and Dire is for premium constellations and weapons. Although I think it's a fair question to ask, whether having two of the most powerful new premium units should have been enough, if we're considering "shill characters", but I guess it's perfectly viable to move the goalpost, and argue that you need a full team of shill characters for one of the bosses in Fearless.

Still annoying, but oh well. I shouldn't let SO ruin my enjoyment.

If you want either of them though, you do have their best supports so pull what you like or just save up for future characters.

Columbina herself gets a 40% HP increase
and an EM, ATK or Def increase to active character based on what reaction youre causing and Columbina HP
50k HP? 35k+40% is close to that. that would get you 500 atk/DEF or 175 EM i think. there isnt actually a cap on this but dont think its worth aiming for more

doesnt have to be a nod krai dps, technically

Hello, just recently started the game. I was initially interested in getting Zibai and Columbina but I don’t think I’ll have enough time to get either of them before their banner ends next month.

I want to focus on building Ningguang for now as a substitute and pull for Zibai and Columbina (and their weapons) whenever they rerun. I know she is a DPS but could she ever be played as a sub-dps or support?

What would be the best f2p team for ningguang as a new player who doesn’t have any 5 stars (my standard selector is still available).

They are not wasted, you save pity between banners of the same type. Mind you, a couple of banners (Weapon Banner and Chronicled Banners) do use a Fate Point system, and those DO go away when the banner ends; which is why we advise you don't pull on them unless you have enough wishes (and the determination to spend them) to reach pity twice; for it would be a waste to spend 70+ wishes in such banners, fail your "50:50" and have NOTHING to show for it afterwards; no guarantee, no pity, no desired character or weapon...

BTW, while they were not wasted this time; bear in mind you could have gotten the 5-star on whatever banner you pulled (be it Columbina's or Ineffa's) even before reaching soft pity; and "lose" all your pity. Only proceed to do pulls (I'm assuming here to "fish" for 4-star copies) if you would be okay with the possibility of losing all your pity (and guarantee if you have it) for the limited character on that banner. If you wouldn't be okay paying 60 wishes for a Columbina or Ineffa, and would rather save them towards Neuvillette, Varka or whatever... you shouldn't have wishes that much to begin with.

Always think about what limit amount of wishes would make getting the 5-star a happy outcome (because how much you like them and/or how cheap they were), and don't go beyond that self-stablished limit. Back during Mizuki's banner... I wouldn't have risked 10 wishes for her. On Clorinde and Columbina; while I didn'treally want them *that* much; I would have been happy getting them for 60 or less without guarantee, so I could pull that much if I wanted to try to get some 4-star copies from their banners...

...mind you, this also affects my future pulls. Now that I have 60+ pity on Columbina's banner; I won't be able to pull AT ALL on Zibai's or Neuvillette's banner to try to get a copy of Illuga; unless I'm willing to pay 70+ wishes for a Zibai or a Neuvillette.

Is there a way to cheese the wolf in SO? Im thinking it was the same as the Frost Herra, that deer with antlers with the shield but this one seems way more tankier. I was half half on Ineffa and decide to get her but that seems like its not enough, only brought it down to 50% shield.

You'll generally want Atk/Atk/Crit for the main stats (EM sands or goblet is a decent alternative), with crit being the main focus in subtstats, and atk%, EM, and however much ER you need also being good.

ER reqs will depend a lot on the team you plan for her.

You don't need to give her much EM from artifacts. She'll already be getting a lot of it from other sources in most cases, like her passive, or 4pc Serenade's buff.

Crit rate will depend on the crit value you're aiming for. Just try to steer it towards the typical 1:2 crit ratio when possible.

That's the distinction between sub-DPS and support. If you're relying on someone to do direct damage, they pretty much always need a solid, balanced crit ratio or they'll be next to useless. Healers and pure buffers are easier.

Could just build him on 2pc HP/HP sets for maximum shield strength. Or, you could put him on Tenacity, and put Faruzan on Cinder City, since she can trigger it on Anemo for Wanderer, even if it's only a 12% buff. Just be sure start with Bennett Skill before Faruzan so she Swirls, unless enemies have an aura already.

There are two ways to go about it: focus on it's shield with a ton of Lunar Reaction Damage; or ignore the shield entirely and try to kill all 4 adds at the same time (usually trying to group them together with Kazuha/Venti/Sucrose/Jean and similar stuff; maybe even Anemo Traveler).

With Flins Aino and Ineffa; I think you should have enough Lunar damage to tackle it "no problem" in Difficulty IV. Fearless may require your team to be particularly strong or vertically invested.

Mind you; do not waste "rotation damage" before it shields up; use that time to set up stuff and/or gain energy via Favonius or what-have-you; and as soon as it lands again with the shield up, deal as much damage as you can. Afaik, Flins should never use it's long-animation Burst; you know about that?

Check how close you are to breaking the shield on multiple tries, and figure out from there what to do next. Are you almost killing it everytime? Are we talking about 10% or less shield left? If so, you may just need to improve your rotation, improve an artifact, weapon or talent, or hope for lucky crits. The second time it summons birds, it's usually easier because you start that rotation with energy.

Personally I often end up improving a little my characters thanks to SO, trying to check from where I can squeeze a minor artifact upgrade and the likes; just to deal a little more damage to tackle a boss in particular; sometimes moving around artifacts I didn't realize where upgrades for [good-character] that I was using in [I-dont-care-about-character].

If you are attempting Fearless, and are leaving the shield at 30%+, you may just not have enough investment; requiring Columbina or extra cons/signature weapons. If that's the case; maybe try the other technique of killing the 4 chickens at the same time, with a stronger team if you have it (like a really invested Mavuika or whatever).

Personally I beat it (in difficulty IV) with a Nefer+Columbina+Nahida+Kuki team (which I *think* should do less damage than a Flins+Ineffa; since that Nefer is really missing Lauma), and also a Mavuika team and a Neuvillette team. Used Kazuha on both Mavuika and Neuvillette to pull the chicken's together. Again, this is difficulty IV I'm talking about; I have no shot at Fearless this time around with any of my teams.

You basically have 2 options. Either you attack the boss directly and drain its shield yourself (the shield takes 3x damage from lunar damage), or you kill the birds it spawns, with each one defeated taking away 25% of the shield. The shield is 45% of the boss's max HP, and each of the birds is 18%.

If you want to try the 2nd option, then be aware that the birds are pretty susceptible to crowd control from stuff like Kazuha, so you'll need to group them together first if you want to stand a chance at killing them all in time.

OK. I stopped playing after completing the whole if Inazuma.
Now that I got a new phone, I decided to load up GI and see. OK so I totally forgot everything, please be gentle.

I did 2 x10 pulls and got Columbina. Should I continue pulling tis banner? There is a pity right?
Also because of that I should not use my primo -> fate unless I can guarantee 90 pulls right?

OK what other advice just to help me get started again. I intend to be a bit casual on this, maybe just 1hr per day. Thanks!

There is pity, but it's back to 0. I wouldn't keep pulling, because new characters are more valuable than copies.

You can use whatever primos and fates you want so long as you're after the character, though. Pity carries over between banners, so you're at no risk of losing it.

Columbina alone is not really good without another 5-star Nod Krai character. The other 5-star of the current banner, Ineffa, works extremely well with her. Try to do some quest and exploration and farm more primos and pull Ineffa if you can. If you fail, Zibai of the second half of current version also works well with Columbina.

Otherwise, just enjoy the game at your own pace. There is no need to rush. You also have several unlocked waypoints of new nations across the map in darkness if you want to farm the materials of newer characters.

The pity gets saved. You can do 30 extra pulls, and if you don't get any 5-stars, you will have 30+ pity for the next Limited Character Banner.

If the banner in question is the Weapon Banner or the Chronicled Banner... those use Fate Points (that fact is shown), and those do NOT get saved, and go away when the banner ends... In those scenarios, you shouldn't pull unless you have at least 150+ pulls; enough to guarantee TWICE, in case you fail the first time around, because the "guarantee" doesn't get saved.

If you are up for pulling more; I would personally recommend doing so in Ineffa's banner, instead of doing so towards a Columbina's constellation. I would also recommend you stay completely away from both Weapon and Chronicled banners for at least 8 months, preferably a year or longer.

The casual thing is okay; enjoy the game as you prefer, and remember it's a game after all; but you may end up missing on limited-events rewards and daily stuff that grants you wishes, and ends up adding up. No biggie, just letting you know.

BTW; I told you I would recommend pulling on Ineffa's banner (because she is good and pairs really well with Columbina), but as a rule of thumb you should only pull on a banner if you really want the featured 5-star Limited Character on it. You can also (sometimes) pull to try to "fish" some copies of the featured 4-stars in the banner; but if you do so; always be prepared to get "unlucky" and get the 5-star on the banner, losing all your accumulated pity and/or guaranteed... so think about how many wishes you would be willing to "lose" to get that 5-star, and only proceed wishing if getting them all of a sudden (and losing all your pity/guarantee) would be a happy outcome because how cheap you got them or how much you wanted them.

Also, never spend Primogems on (blue) Acquaint Fates nor the Standard Banner; but I feel you knew this already.

BTW, if you don't get Ineffa... Zibai (on next banner) should also pair really well with Columbina. But chances are you don't have (nor are able to get) enough wishes to guarantee Ineffa nor Zibai; if you just came back. If you *could* guarantee any of the two; Ineffa is probably more fexible; while Zibai would probably get you a stronger Columbina team; but with very little variety (basically Zibai+Columbina+Illuga+Flex); Illuga being a new 4-star that will be featured on Zibai's banner.

I lost my 50/50 to columbina at 79 pity and as an f2p, idk if i'm still gonna get her so im planning to save up for the next patch.

A quick look at this and they all share the same issue - artifact quality. A lot of your characters have horrendous crit stats. Take off their crit damage circlets and give them crit rate as a starting point. Having 200%+ CD is useless when your CR is only 30%. Aim for a 1:2 CR:CD ratio.

Mavuika Melt should have the DPS to kill the minions, and Kazuha for grouping to make sure you're hitting all of them at once. If your Columbina + Ineffa builds suck, but you're a good Mavuika player with a good build, she should work.

Otherwise, just go Columbina, Ineffa, Sucrose, Mona for the first team, and Varesa, Mavuika, Iansan, Chev for the second. Just farm artifacts on hard in coop for now, and remember you have 5 weeks to clear Stygian.

Maybe Citlali is essential for Team 1, then, because me trying Rosaria just to apply cryo and then Mavuika bursting in the 2 seconds that the mobs stay up didn't even get them down by a fourth of their HP. It's incredibly hard just to build up enough for a mavuika burst in those seconds, too. Those things seem insanely bulky.

Well yeah, without Citlali you have no other Nightsoul point spending since you bring Kazuha for grouping instead of Xilonen. So unless you had C1 Mavuika, you're barely getting her burst back if you use Rosaria. Hence my suggestion that maybe skipping Melt and going for Mono Pyro with Xilonen might work instead. But if your build just doesn't work well, then Mavuika won't work. You need over 80k DPS to break the shield phase before it does the special attack and you miss out on 20% HP damage and lower resistances. So if you don't have that DPS to begin with, there's no chance you're beating the whole boss in time anyway.

I dunno, you have the right characters to do it, just sounds like your builds really need more work. Especially for Menacing.

Incidentally, I don't see any chance of beating the third boss without Citlali on there, unless there's just a completely different setup I should be doing for that one than the one I used? I did that with only 11 seconds to spare

The Traveller buff you get at the end of the AQ is so funny, in game it makes sense since we actually are restricted in the elements we get to use but in universe we swap between the elements all the time like it's nothing. In Act 7 and 8 we literally used every element apart from Dendro lmao.

Hey, does anyone know if it is possible to level up, ascend, level talents etc. of Lauma while not up to date with the game version? Because from what I've seen, you need a weekly boss thingy from Natlan, which I assume is gated behind story progress, like >!Stormterror, Childe, Signora, Ei!< etc. I'm currently going through Sumeru, after which I'll do Fontaine, and only then Natlan. So... am I effectively barred from playing the Deer Lady?

I'm slowly catching up to the story after getting Columbina. I saw the Fandom site to gauge how far I am and apparently I'm just on Act I (Lauma exposing the truth to the tribe). Apparently there are 8 acts, is it usually this long?

Not that I'm opposed to it as the story was quite good so far. Was just shocked with how far I am from finishing the story. Also, how many acts are there per version btw?

Yeah, it's pretty long. Act I was about 5 hours total, on the long side when most Archon Quests are around 3 hours per act at a normal pace, sometimes 4 for the long ones. So I'd say there's about 30 hours total for Nod Krai (up to current patch).

The amount of acts per version has increased over time, Mondstadt to Inazuma were only 4, Sumeru to Natlan were 6, now Nod Krai is 8 (and maybe not completely over yet).

As long as the quality stays the same, the length is fine tbh. Natlan was bogged down with too many festivals or parties, the experience was annoying imo. Act I right now is so packed, I was actually shocked I'm still on Act I. Would it stay for 5 hours per act?

Also, I was talking about the versions for Nod-krai. Like Nod-krai release has x amount of acts and stuff. Thanks for the answer, will continue to catch up then

Should I go for ineffa or bina? , I most probably won't pull any other luna chara, (waiting for raiden and citlali) is any one of them enough to carry me through this luna patches?

Yes, it's permanent. So once this cycle ends, a new 12-week cycle will start, and you'll have to play 8 of those 12 weeks to get the constellation. And you can only pick each character once, so if you pick C1 Klee now, you can't pick C2 Klee next time.

Well, the way I interpreted the official post was that they had a disclaimer saying "If you don't select 'a character' [Baizhu] on this cycle, then [Baizhu] will still be available to select on future cycles." That, plus the fact that I can't imagine there's enough other characters to "cycle" to, I don't really see that happening.

Maybe they add Kazu, Yelan and Alh, and maybe the weaker Fontaine chars like Lyney?, Wrio, Navia, Siggy, Xianyun, Clorinde?, excluding Neuvi and Furina ofc. But yeah, only time will tell.

It would kinda make sense if they NEVER-EVER allow repeats... "Forcing" people into wishing for strong C2s on some characters and/or even pulling for "old" characters just to not let the constellation "go to waste"...

To add to what KyrrithK said about not being able to get C2 Klee next time... That's true for these 4 first times (we are currently on the 2nd one)... But afterwards, when the 7.0 version (Snezhnaya?) releases, they will change the roster... but we don't fully know how. Will they just add new characters to it? Will some rotate out? Will we be able to get C2 Klee from the new batch? Those are answer we don't fully know yet, I believe. Maybe we are never allowed to repeat a Constellation; and if you don't get enough characters present int he list eventually you run out of free Cons... maybe incentivizing us to pull for a "crappy" Shenhe, just to be able to get a free Con instead of letting it "go to waste". XD

Was wondering if someone could explain how wishes work and pity. I’ve managed to save 80fate so far for the neuv rerun and wanted to know how character banners work. I read that you get a guaranteed 5 star at 90pulls due to pity but does that reset if I get a different 5 star that isn’t Neuv. I also read something about 50/50 which I don’t quite understand. I’d appreciate an explanation and advice of doing my first wish, thank you.

Every single with, has a 0.6% chance of getting you a 5-star character. So if you can manage to get a single wish, there is always a small possibility and a tiny spec of hope. XD

After 74 wishes, this chance starts increasing at a rate of 6% per wish (this is called "Soft Pity").

By Wish 90 the accumulated 6% chance surpasses 100%, and you will get a 5-star no matter what (if you somehow managed to get THAT unlucky; since this includes losing a 96%, 90%, 84%, 78%, and so on...). This 100% at 90 pity is called "Hard Pity".

When you finally get a 5-star character, no matter if it was on Wish 1, or Wish 90; your Pity resets back to 0. Pity is counted from the last wish that granted you ANY 5-star (the one on banner or not).

When you finally get a 5-star, you only have a 50% chance of it being the one in the banner (like Neuvillette). If you "fail" (you have no control over this, it's just luck) this 50:50, you will get instead a 5-star from the Standard Character list (Jean, Mona, Diluc, Qiqi, Keqing, Mizuki, Tighnari or Dehya).

After failing a 50:50, you get what we call "the guarantee", and the next 5-star character you get on a banner of the same type, it will be for sure the one in the banner. This is to ensure that even if you are unlucky in all this gacha-gambling stuff, you can still eventually get what you wanted.

By same type, in this case, I mean the "Limited Event Character Banner"... So if you try to get Columbina, wish 40 times, get Jean instead at ish 40, wish 20 more times, and run out of wishes... On the next Limited banners (both Zibai/Neuvillette) you would have still the guarantee and the 20 pity that you built in Columbina/Ineffa's banners. The 5-stars and pity you may get in different banners (Permanent Standard Banner, Weapon Banner, Chronicled Banner when they come) is entirely unrelated to your pity/guarantee on the Limited Character Banner; but all Limited Character Banners (currently Columbina and Ineffa, next ones Zibai and Neuvillette) share pity and guarantee.

If you don't manage to get Neuvillette; whatever pity/guarantee you managed to accumulate will still be there for the next banner with Varka, and so on; so always bear in mind your pity and if you have the gurantee, to know how much you are "risking" if you ever just "randomly" pull on a Limited Banner. Maybe you want a copy of Illuga, but don't want Neuvillette or Zibai, and are saving towards Varka... It wouldn't be smart to do even a 10-pull if you have 60+ pity (as you can always get the character, even before Soft Pity, a 10-pull is like 6% chance, not unheard off) or the gurantee (that can be considered like 80 extra wishes towards a desired Limited Character).

If you somehow fail several 50:50 in a row (usually 3), ignoring the resulting "guarantees", since you don't 50:50 on those, they are guaranteed; the game will take extra pity on you and you may trigger Capturing Radiance, that has a custom animation and makes sure your next 5-star will be guarantee too... In this scenario, using only Jean and Neuvillette Constellations for the example, it would look like this:

Jean (Fail 1) > Neuvillette (Guaranteed) > Jean (Fail 2) > Neuvillette (Guranteed) > Jean (Fail 3) > Neuvillette (Guranteed) > Neuvillette (Capturing Radiance) > Back to 50:50 from the start.

Mind you, while in this scenario you can get two "guaranteeds" in a row, this is like the worst possible luck ever, of failing all your 50:50 until the game takes pity on you.

Yeah I’ve only been playing for a week so I’m trying to figure it all out, I really appreciate the help with it all. I really like the hydro characters. I got introduced to genshin a year ago by a ex and she told me about the lore with archons and sovereigns so I’d really like to get them and just wanted to know the best way about it. Thank you again.
