yesterday I was trying to change the email connected to my account and this morning I got an email about suspicious activity and to verify my identity. surprisingly what I was scared to get.
I tried and it said it was unavailable so I sent them an email. I've heard about players not even getting responses back so I'm worried about what happens if I literally can't do anything. Answers appreciated

Regardless, I wouldn't be too worried. It sounds like just an automated check to make sure it isn't a hacker trying to change your email. Nothing unusual about that.
Such verifications typically only last while doing the thing, so since you're not busy changing your email anymore it's pretty normal that the verification link expired.
Not sure why you didn't get it yesterday, might've been some slow Internet mail hiccup.
