Started a couple of mins ago and wished and got diluc and noelle. Apparently I can pick a free 5 star Keqing seemed so strong and might be my fav! Who do I pick to add the most value to my Genshin account

You don't really add any value to your Genshin account long-term with the free 5\* selector, they are mostly there to help you in the earlier stages. Jean can cheese some endgame modes and Mona has hexerei synergy which is mostly irrelevant and that is about it. Keqing and Tighnari are good in Quicken reaction teams, but Quicken itself is uncared for by Hoyo for some time so the teams are lagging behind significantly.

Mizuki can be useful both in combat and for exploration, since you can cover distance by flying. For long-term progression, you can pick Mona, but at this level you won’t really get much out of her.

Well… Keqing and Diluc were strong DPSs… 5 years ago…
Tighnari would be an okay DPS for your level, and Mona can be a strong support with the Hexerei buff she recently.
Also, be aware that all the characters from the selector (Diluc, Keqing, Tighnari, Mona, Dehya, Jean, Qiqi, and Mizuki) can be obtained on the standard banner and when you lose a 50/50 on the limited banners

curent strongest stand 5\* is Mona due to a quest you'll later get access to where she gains a new passive and gets a while lot stronger, as long as you remeber to use 2 or 3 normal attacks after using her ultimate and have a second Hexerei unit
curent Hexerei units are Mona, Albedo, Klee, Durin, Venti, Sucrose, Fischl and Razor
notice: Hexerei units are a fairly new developement and they'll likely buff other Mondstadt that aren't part of this group yet, there are 3 known units that are planned to join this roster, but haven't made their debut as of writing this
Jean is also fairly good, but is curently worse than Mona (except in certain niche cheese strategies), she is a fairly compent healer and can hold Viridescent Venerer
i suggest you don't get following standard 5\*s:
Qiqi and Mizuki as they are just bad units (both are outclassed by 4\* units)
Keqing and Tighnari (technically also Diluc, but you already have him) as they are on field damage dealers and will quickly be outclassed by the time you have properly built teams
and lastly Dehya as, while she has decent teams, her numbers were lacking even when she debuted

You talk to a new player about potential buffs in the future and endgame cheese.. idk how useful that is.
Jean has huge value to a new player. She heals, deals enough damage until AR 55+ and is versatile to use.
Keqing, Tighnari and Diluc will also be perfectly fine. Keqing has an amazing movement skill for the open world, Tighnari is strong and an archer, which is an innate advantage and Diluc can break things and hit plenty hard for anything a new player will face for a while. They all come with advantages for 99,9999999% of the content (anything but endgame content) that will be very different by the time that player gets there anyways.
Mona is.. tough and nieche to use, she isnt bad but for a new player I would put her on a lower priority.. Still above Qiqi and Mizuki ig.

you know that xkcd where experts are so far removed from a common person that they have to remind themselvs of certian things, while i am by no means expert, i have been playing this game for so long that new player experience completely eludes me and i forget that just because a character enables bigger numbers doesn't mean they are better early

pick jean/mona you dont need keqing because you have carry already (diluc)
others a mid(diluc too btw) only good picks is as i said already jean or mona

I picked Mona. The second 10 pull I did on the noelle banner was ALSO a 5 star and I got keqing through it anyways LOL
