Came to conclusion that Rhinedottir is indeed my favorite character in genshin

As a genshin player that can read Rhinedottir is my favorite character even though we never actually saw her in-game

Stuff like gods, nation, authority, power, wisdom doesnt really mean anything, her entire existence is frustrated by a spesific obsession. Creating life, and its strictly forbidden by heavens. I also really enjoy how every single time her name gets mentioned we learn yet another super important irrelevant thing was her doing. Like literally calamity, probably most important and mentioned event in saga is her doing, or random stuff like natlans 7th tribe being destroyed or melusines birth.

I also love how every single being we ever heard of is somewhat connected to her family tree literally tell me any living with a name that is not a descender

Calamity's first signs started right after Rhinedottir took "world shattering" power with her creations spawning randomly killing people. And in whole calamity Rhinedottirs creations such as Rifthounds was the sentinels and way openers for rest of abyss creatures. And her creations such as Durin, Elynas, Bakunawa were like bossfights of calamity

she's a great character. i hate her guts, but she's a great character.

my biggest fear is the same fear i have with dottore. that hoyo tries to make her all motherly and likeable for purposes of making her the new waifu to be pulled for. plz, let villains be villains, she's a terrible person that deserves a terrible ending (great character tho)

i think the same way. i even feel an off sort of connection with her that could be categoried as a kin or projection, its more structural on how she analyzes the world and exists without a reason (no backstory). just her as an entity. as a character i quite like her as well. she is motivated despite her skewed morals or even no morals. i wonder if se questions her own results, her thoughts on her results. she is captivating. it is her actions that are horrible that draw me to her. i dont need her to be playable tbh, as long as she is well written
