So what the heck was this?

We got the True Moon completion screen on the moon, and then after we got back to Teyvat, we saw Varka write a letter to Jean and then we got this weird glitchy version of the screen, with a weird distorted sound effect. Does anyone know why? It's been bothering me for literally days.

That's what they call a sequel hook.

The heavenly principles finally starting to wake up

Ravemst2026-01-22 00:43

Dude none of us know the answer

D-S_122026-01-22 00:43

My guess is either Dottore managed to get away and survived or the Heavenly Principles woke up to all the reality-bending shenanigans we and Dottore did in Nod Krai

No one knows until the story about it continues. They did say that Teyvat was more visible to the outer universe, but it could be anything.

Lucky-Oven54672026-01-22 01:55

The popular theories right now is: A.Phanes/HP woke up, B.Irminsul malfunctioning/infected, C.Other/OG Dottore.

highlyregarded11552026-01-22 05:04

Holy shit. What if we were fighting a fake doctor and the real one was burning Irminsul all along? Like, why did we actually trust Dottore to destroy ALL of his clones?

Ricksaw262026-01-22 02:33

I need to ask my insider.

LanLinked2026-01-22 04:46

My personal opinion, it's forshadowing that with a real moon inside the firmament, the shades are finally taking notice. Maybe Heavenly Principles, but I think we're not gonna see them til the end

bruh3642026-01-22 05:37

All will be revealed in the next…. Chapter.

Gentlemanor2026-01-22 09:30

I would prefer to believe that Dottore did die for good and this implies that Irminsul is burning already, which he could have done right after seeing Wanderer, but before the bossfight

This is what they call "ominous foreshadowing". Ominous foreshadowing of what, we do not know. Some take it to mean that Dottore is still around. Others think it means the Primordial One is waking up. Still others think it might mean that hostiles from outside of Teyvat have now noticed it and are coming to investigate.

It could be any, all, or none of these.
