If you send them on an expedition with Catherine, yes, the characters can go, but you can't go to the real world.

Maybe in current times. We got useless characters like Layla and Amber that have nothing to do. Back then people barely had enough characters built to make abyss teams, never mind clear it.

Fun fact we do know what that is. Klee literally blew up part of the Stormbearer Mountains (the mountains next to the red circle) and that is the result. You can see in old Mondstadt maps that the red circle part isn't there and cider lake was smaller (flooded with the rubble).

This is why Mika complains that Klee keeps changing the landscape of Mondstadt. She is her mother's daughter.

You will be surprised, but this area, when viewed from afar, will be more detailed than many other areas outside the map. It is believed that this area was also planned to be playable, but I have not been able to confirm this information either in beta versions or elsewhere.

Mondstadt has a port town to the north called Dornman port. Only mentioned by NPC's and in-game Lore. However, there is supposed to be a Mondstadt update at some point which involves that area

We've known for years there's a port north of Mondstadt that we haven't unlocked yet. 😅 They just keep adding other stuff to the game first, and a bunch of us always figured it would ultimately lead us north to Snezhnaya and that's why they're still waiting to open it.
