Could you please share your builds and rotations for the skirk team? I still haven't been able to do it with the same team, just switching XQ with Yelan.

Pretty average builds 9% skirk on akasha MH r5 finale gt escoffier totm furina nobless xq all supports on fav. Just focus the little crabs first with xq burst and charge up skirk burst during this time and then when its shield is about to go down dump all the support bursts and do as much damage as you can with skirk. Timing your rotation with the shield down is really important since you only get like 10 sec window so you want all yours support bursts to be done before that and give skirk full uptime during that window.

Burst style is better for Skirk. The crab has only 10 seconds window to do damage after you break the main big one's shield on horns.

You dont have to stick to one style since you can charge burst when dealing with little crabs and then do burst and NAs during the down phase you can get solid 2-3 na strings during that time plus the burst

It was rough for sure and took a bit to find a good team comp and rotation that could do it. But his ability to hit multiple targets was clutch

If you have Neuv he can hydro pump all the small crabs for a pretty easy clear, you don’t even have to hit the big one. I bashed my head against it with Skirk teams for a while too but I feel like it’s more of an aoe check.

I did it with my weird Mualani team. Mona Kazuha Kuki Mualani. Mona for buffs. Kazuha for grouping mini crabs. Kuki healing. I learned that the amount of dmg we deal to break mini crabs are dealt to the boss crab when mini crabs yeet him. So instead of breaking the shield I thought about dealing as much as dmg possible to the mini crabs. Couldn't use Xilonen/Furina cuz they were needed against the Fatui boss.

how did you get 72s on first boss? with c0r0 nefer, c0r0 lauma, c0r0 bina, and c2r0 nahida, i can only get 100s. wonder if there is some technique im missing on this boss.

You could try looking for nefer clears on YouTube, even if the team isn't exactly the same there's always something you can learn, I went from timing out at 33% to clearing it. I prefer c0 dire clears as those tend to be executed much better.

Nefer team rotation issues can reduce a lot of damage, getting proper cancels and rotations of 17-18s will increase your dps. Also starting setup for stygian is important, catching particles on bina and having enough ER on Lauma and Bina to burst without wasting time funneling

You can kill it without Furina. The trick is to deal as much as dmg possible to the mini crabs. Cuz the dmg they take will be dealt(**%) to the boss crab when they yeet it.

I don’t have Furina, Neuvillette, Skirk, or Escoffier. u can always bring a (very) strong DPS and using him when the crab is stunned, i use Arle, i think it's doable with any recent c2r1 dps

If you have a recording of your try maybe i can help, i usually break one shield in first roationan and then ready varesa for second rotation when i have the bursts for iansan and xl and then she breaks 2 shields

I don't understand how the crab hitbox even works. They did something so that many hydro character won't be able to hit it for some reason. I tried with columbina and her NAs also don't seem to hit it properly

IIRC when its horn isn't broken your attacks have to hit the horn to count, when the horn's broken its hitbox is pretty normal. Big enough AoE attacks will hit the horn but it can be a bit finicky.
However if you're playing on a difficulty where it summons smaller crabs just hit those instead, it's much more effective.
