[SO] Usage Rate v6.3

There has been a lot of main stream content creators and streamers who are doing the anti-xilonen propaganda lately just so they can glaze her alternatives yet she still remains as one of the top usage rate characters EVERY (pause) SINGLE (pause) FCKING (pause) STYGIAN ONSLAUGHT since the very first SO! Let that sink in.

I think content creators are saying that Xilonen is a good character, but the trend that Mihoyo has been following lately (giving specific supports to the strongest dpses), has made her pull-value less certain for the future trajectory of the meta.

I mean its just generalize buffer who can be slotted almost anywhere vs Niche but Stronger option

CC's, from what I've seen in this sub as I don't watch them myself, are overreacting a bit with "fallen off" as she will be a decent option as long as there are strong teams without hard team restrictions (like Skirk team) and which care about DMG%.

But we are in NK and no one cares about what she provides, and if someone is new and isn't pulling old units rn - they won't find her useful and pulls will be basically wasted.

I guess that's what they mean.

Stygian Onslaught needs 3 teams for a reason. Not 1 team. Whether she is not the meta for some nod krai teams or not, she still remains as a good universal support for so many teams that can be used on the 2nd or 3rd team.

Yeah, if you have her she‘s useful often but the point is just that there are enough alternatives that you won‘t really miss her if you don‘t have her. She‘s fairly replacable in most her teams.

I believe people downvote for one obvious reason: what the point to yap about CCs when they are *not* a significant % of players to affect any global wide usage rate.

SpinachHumble2026-01-22 11:21

Well they do have "significant % of audiences that can affect global wide usage rate".

PandiTati2026-01-22 11:25

I hope you do understand that "audience" isn't "blind followers". People may watch different stuff for entertainment, including documentaries about serial killers, doesn't mean they would do the same

And if you call ~100-800k people out about 300m players "significant" percent I have bad news for you

SpinachHumble2026-01-22 11:29

That's the point. Despite having global audiences, only a small minority are falling for their propaganda as it's not really reflecting and affecting the usage rate.
