Another diabolical boss to put on Styian Onslaught

Like seriously, this is way...way worst than Papilla. You need to apply elemental reaction but that application will never enough in any non Nod Krai team. And take note that Lunar-Reaction was locked behind 5* character, if you miss, you're cooked.

I'm super duper ultra mega not so very much fan of this regional mechanics that is time lock behind banner — its diabolical.

Well yeah, you’re using a C6 limited character from 5.X, ofc you will find it easy.

Try again with C0 and you will understand why a lot of people are frustrated with this boss.

Even Mavuika melt C0R1 finds it difficult to beat on fearless.

It's not about elemental application, if you don't have Lunar damage, you instead have to have grouping and AOE to kill all the minions at the same time.

Yeah, I used Kazoo to suck them up and keep them together, then nuked them from orbit with Mavuika melt. Finished with 10 seconds to spare, though it took a good few tries.

It's one boss out of three that "requires" the new gimmick, same as before. I skipped Lauma and Nefer and was still able to do every SO on Fearless. It could have been much worse.

so 2 Nod krai era 5 stars. Sadge for me. I only have columbina until zibai comes around. Been struggling with just menacing (I can probably beat menacing once my columbina has full +20 artifacts with somewhat ok substats though) not sure though. if I got aino a artifact set too maybe I stand a chance but then I would need a non SNS set for columbina.

Tbf, pure HB couldn't beat Fearless+, you either bursted the thing in 2-3 openings or brought Nightsoul damage. Still easier than whatever the Void dog is but nonetheless

It probably didn't help that it was my first time fighting it in SO on menacing, but I had to go down to hard where I promptly melted it in 20ish seconds. I tried 3 different teams but couldn't kill the dogs or break his shield in time. I would get to a sliver of each but not get it. It's crazy how small the window is. I'm still building Columbina and Ineffa since I got both on this banner so once they are stronger I'll try again.

It‘s just that the jump in difficulty is ridiculous. On III I am melting the puppy in no time, while on IV I can barely scratch the shield (have skipped all Nod Krai 5* so far). The other bosses are a piece of cake, but that one….probably no chance for me.

Gg, i have to reroll my mav artifacts from unrank to 1% to clear. Usually idgaf about artifact quality as long as it is useable but this abomination make every substat counts not to mention i have to lvl 95 my mav.

I can add tiny bit damage by doing new combo but i'm not bothered. It's easier just to slap the new item for level up than doing new combo. Not to mention i have a device issue where my lmb has delay input so even doing the normal one is already hard for me.

Yes that's my point. Personally, for what it's worth I voted with my wallet. I was happy to support the game with welkin and BP purchases since launch, and big part of that was the lack of powercreep and shilling mechanics. With that gone, and with the 3rd endgame mode being nothing more than another combo of inflated HP + timer, I stopped just before Nod-Krai. I still keep playing because I love the music and want to see how the story goes, but I've come to a different mindset regarding endgame modes: the moment I can't complete them once, I just don't care anymore.

For real, I skipped most of Natlan’s 5* but still have a built Ororon who did great work whenever I needed some Nightsoul application. Not having that for Nod Krai really hurts. Aino is a serviceable option if you already have Flins or Ineffa but she does absolutely nothing on her own.

If you pull for a Lunar character, your problems are solved, you had four months’ worth of Primogems to pick one.

If you want to play in the lunar region without having any lunar characters, that won't work.

For the past three regions, you could use the new gimmick without pulling for a single character. Collei and DMC for Dendro, Lynette and HMC for Arke Alignments, Kachina and PMC for Nightsoul. Now we have Nod-Krai without a single f2p option to use the gimmick. It's disgusting.

I have C1R1 durin along with the new wheelchair core. I just said random bullshit go and patched a lunar hex core with Bina, Ineffa, Sucrose and Durin. Got my clear in a few tries but holy shit HP sponge bosses are so annoying. I had fun quick swapping frantically after ages but I really hope they never rerun him again. Definitely the worst boss we have had since the SSA boss which is also just a pinata if you have Escoffier and/or Skirk.

There's two ways to fight this boss. If you use Nefer or any other lunar reaction team, ignore the adds and beat down the shield directly. If you don't have a lunar team, use a grouper to gather all the birds together and nuke them, the boss loses a fixed fraction of shield HP whenever a bird dies.

Lunar dps = go hit boss. No lunar dps = go kill minions to break the boss. No kazuha to group? Sucrose with sufficient ER can do just fine.

There's not enough time to set up Sucrose. Even with multiple favs and 250% ER. You lose 4-5 seconds setting up that Kazuha doesnt need.

i think the concept is fine, but he's way overtuned in SO.

The amount of time you get for killing the chickens is extremely tight, and that's your ticket if you don't have lunar. I pulled 6.x characters, just not the right ones for Hoyo. I skipped Flins, Ineffa and Nefer who they really wanted me to have. This dog is hoyo's middle finger at me for skipping them.
