I have been trying to brute force this team for hours and I'm going insane. I've gotten so close so many times. How is C2R1 Yelan/C6 Sac Xingqiu/C2 Furina not good enough?

I don't have Neuvillette, Mualani, Tartaglia, Skirk/Escoffier, Wriothesley etc. I don't have a single DPS unit that I can actually use here, I don't even have Xianyun so I can't do plunge Diluc/Candace shenanigans.

Kazuha or Sucrose aren't helping either, it's a DPS problem.

Try using a CC user. Like Kazuha, Sucrose, or Venti. Replace them with XQ

Less about CC more about RES shred and swirls to help break shield. Right now without any RES shred you're doing half the dmg you'd be doing otherwise. Venti is really good because how much he swirls and lets you vape off pyro black hole. Mizuki works well too, if you have her.

My team was pretty similar to yours, I did Venti Kokomi Newvallet XQ. and I daresay you have more dmg than me by bringing Furina. My newvallet is C0R0 and if I brought Furina I'd clear in mid 80s instead of barely.

then again ig it's also about AOE hydro dmg which Yelan struggles.. idk, any other options?

Edit: mb I did not read.. typical genshin player here. uhh.. keep trying since you have no other options. And you've come close - how close, though? I'm sure my Yelan can clear so yours can too, especially with Furina. Just please bring anemo.

Your cons are more than enough, maybe you're not focusing on the mini crab? Also, pay attention when the big crab is down that's the time when you must hit him.

With this much hydro, why is your XQ still on Sac? Maybe try upping him to a DPS weapon? Surely you aren't hurting for energy lol. Also, what's your Koko's build? This might sound meme but it's legit: MH set with Furina gives enough crit that with seriously good gears you can actually overcome Koko's -100 crit substat, and with her high multipliers this can actually out-dps a purely healer build (depends on your artifact gearbox though, trash MH gear won't cut it). Might be worth trying!

I don't have a proper DPS weapon to even give him, and it's not like he contributes much to the damage anyway. Kokomi's just running clam and driving Yelan on field during burst to heal the team.

If your problem is not enough DPS, and you don't have the character being being sold for this content, then thinking outside the box can help. If you aren't willing to tune XQ or Koko to increase their damage output, the only other option is to try and squeeze more DPS out of Yelan and Furina's gears, or try a different team. Maybe throw down Xilonen for res shred here and give Sucrose to your team 2. Anemo kinda sucks on the crab stage because the pyro aura from the shield makes swirling hydro tough, that's why Xilo would be better here. Otherwise, you might be cooked, sadly.

The mini crabs keep a tally of their damage taken, and 60% of the hydro damage they have taken is dealt to the main crab as true damage.

If you kill the crabs by depleting their shields with hydro application that doesn't really deal damage (ie. Kokomi) the damage they deal to the main crab will be low as a result.

You are better off ditching Kok + Yelan with a res shred unit and an on-fielder that is synergistic with Yelan+Furina.

Yeah, that's fair. ;;; I don't have Neuvi so I was scared as well, but Mualani / Esco / Citlali / Furina actually got a 98s clear on it despite all units being C0R0 (Mualani & Esco are on a different 5\* weapon). It took me quite a few tries to get good RNG with the crabs though.

Are you making sure you're always prioritizing the mini crabs over the main boss? They are the ones doing the bulk of the DMG after all. I would also try to replace Xingqiu with a shredder of some sort. You can apply Hydro to the main crab horns and swirl it that way.

If you have a different team for the second boss (Mavuika or Skirk), you could potentially use Ineffa/Xilonen on the last boss together with Yelan/Furina. :o

I have to run Ineffa/Aino for the shocktrooper because Aino isn't good enough for my Nefer comp to clear the first fight.

I have no idea how to even run Mavuika overvape for the shocktrooper because I can't break the shield with anything but Ineffa...

You just run regular Mavuika overload, I believe? I don't own her myself but if she's well built and you can do her optimal combos, I think the sheer DPS alone is enough.

It's not a character issue, I have Iansan/Bennett/Chev all C6, it's an electrocharge/lunarcharge shill boss, so I *have* to use Ineffa at bare minimum.

Swap Xingqiu and Xilonen. Xingqiu just busts up the baby crabs way too quickly without doing much damage, and doing damage to the baby crabs is key. Xilonen can buff Hydro and lower resist.

I prioritize having XQ's burst up first before Yelan's since it has a longer duration and provides more hydro app. Focus on small crabs when not down. Try getting as many small crabs per summon wave. Your C2s should be enough.

You might know it already, but I'll say these anyway.

Yelan's Q triggers a coordinated attack after her E's, which should do a lot more for you since you already have C2.

XQ's orbiting rainswords could help add up some hydro app, sticking closer could help? My runs also went worse when I took him off Sac Sword and gave him one of the 5 star options.

I try to use Furina and Kokomi's Q when there are a more targets = more "value" in the hydro applied.

Sac Kokomi for more jellyfish uptime?

Weaving NA's between skill casts to trigger Yelan & XQ waves?

I'm just saying what I could think of and hope any of them are helpful to you. You should be able to clear it.

Not trying to be rude, but I know how the characters work, I know how to play the game. I'm mostly just venting because I'm actively being punished for not pulling units that I don't like. Almost all of the characters I like using can't keep up with the powercreep and stygian shill. It's not a gameplay mechanics issue, it's a DPS issue that I can't manage to solve with the units I like.

From what I can tell, literally just pulling Neuvillette would solve my DPS problem, but I find his gameplay to be mindnumbingly boring. Pulling Skirk/Escoffier would fill the gaping chasm that is my lack of literally any Cryo DPS units, but I couldn't care less about Skirk because she doesn't actually exist in the game outside of her story quest...

I understand and there's no offense taken. I had the same "punished" sentiment when I started my attempts. I also like doing runs with characters I enjoy. Makes it more satisfying. I've hated this crab since it's last event appearance, and they somehow managed to make it worse.

I did it with C1R1 Hu(on MH so missing crit with this setup)/C2R1 Yelan/C0Jade Bina/C2R1 Citlali. I just focused on the small crabs.
The other team that I cleared the crab with before but had to move characters around was Furina/Bina/Xilo/Kazu.
Saw a lot of people yesterday clearing it with Furina/Yelan/XQ/Xilo while looking for reference.

Use your c2 mauvika for the trooper. She will destroy him. And use your ineffa,furina,columbina for the crab. I used the same set up with less cons and did it fairly easy I could say. In general it has a lot of shill but with the correct team building you can do it.

if you have kazuha, try kazuha furina xq yelan. Not really the ideal lineup as you don't have a proper attacker, but that might be the only way you get it done. Or wait for the second half and pull neuvi, i was able to clear dire with c0 neuvi r3 bp weapon + c2 steel pipe furi + c2r1 xilonen + c0 xiphos kazuha

I use Furina, Kokomo, Esscofier, Skirk.

Furina and Kokomi to keep applying hydro, while Essco and Skirk focusing on damage.

idk what your set up is like, but what you might want to think about if your ineffa is well buitl enough is to swap with your fireblade team. take raiden and xilonen and replace xingqiu and kokomi. xingqiu. if xingqiue synergizes with a strong enough ineffa the hydro application will work. this team would be less on the strength of xingqiu's blade work and more on the strength of ineffa and aino reaction damage

Then the 2nd team has a yelan 2nd dps with raiden front load burst and sustain electrocharge for when the crab is down. This also synergizes with xilonen having 2 elements so when she bursts its a team wide buff and this helps furina's show hp movement damage.

if you're like me some characters currently are much more built than others and so maybe this swap might not be viable.

IDK what other characters you have but I used Raiden(c2), Xingqui(c6), Furina and Ineffa againts the Crab.

If you have Skirk and Escoffier, you could use them for 2nd boss.
