I am running an R4 deathmatch with a Crimson witch set(HP/HP/C.Dmg) and also 3 crowned Talents... Arlecchino and Mavuika seem to be way better options than Hu Tao at this point and also we got Nicole incoming(Not sure though if she's gonna be DPS or Support).
I got her C1 since Hu Tao sometimes appears in the Imaginarium theater and I ran into the Stamina issues of C0 Hu Tao...
I don't have Yae so I am not sure how good her constellations are but I think with her Off field application, She might be good at Hyperbloom or Lunar Charged teams(Although Ineffa seems to be the better option than Yae in Lunar Charged teams)

Hu Tao is amazing even now. My c1 Hu Tao with only c0 supports did 100k dps. and with a good crit ratio through character editing, she did almost 200k dps 🔥
her build is quite good though with a 95/200 crit ratio with dragons bane and the hunter set. (Top 1%) but she’s still much better than yae or any other c1 on the list

I don’t have ineffa so can’t use overvape with her.. I used c0 furina, c0 xilonen and c0 yelan, with neither of them being on signature weapons (or even 5 star weapons). My Hu Tao was on dragons bane. Shenhe c2 is great for skirk/wrio/ayaka teams, and is prob a better pick than Hu Tao c1 for now. though Hu Tao c1 is better than any other c1 in the list imo

Still competing with most of my teams, at least when I do the DPS calculator in Wonderland she only lags behind Mavuika and the Lunar Reaction team. I do 90k-100k with HuTao/Yelan/Furina/Xilonen, though of course Xilonen actually is tied to my Mavuika.

she's... not BAD... i mean none of the character constellations you can get from the event other than like nilou, albedo, and kokomi are necessarily great, they're all quite mid at this point in the game and won't be able to clear endgame content unless they're at a very high constellation. maybe a c3 hu tao is comparable to the current meta characters in terms of raw damage, but even then she lacks the advantage in lunar damage that is currently the most important mechanic in terms of the endgame modes

Still a top-performer in any single-target scenario, and her rotations are pretty fast, so you can front-load damage. It's a little trickier if there are multiple waves of enemies that are super spread out, but if you're just dealing with 1-2 at a time, she absolutely obliterates.
As for build, I run Hutao with Homa and 4-piece shim. There are a few teams I rotate in and out, but the core is almost always Hu Tao with Yelan. My fave team by far though is Hu Tao, Furina, Yelan, Xilonen, though I know it's expensive with all 5-stars 😂
If you're getting Hu Tao, I also recommend springing for her c1. I only pulled for c0 when she first came out and I quickly realized the utility of the dash cancel. It's just way more comfy if you have c1, but you can def live without it for a bit since I don't think she has any upcoming banners.

Marginally stronger than C2. But overall she's very weak by modern standards, even with C3R1 like in my case.
But as long as you're using good buffers (I'm typically pairing her with C3 Furina) and a strong sub dps, damage will be sufficient to clear everything except maybe Dire Stygian, so if you like her and want to use her regardless, you can get away with it. I just wouldn't call it a smart investment.

With hex buffs he's one of the stronger sub-dps now. And his first two cons scale well. Paired with Durin, they're the new 'wheelchair' comp that can let pretty much any random character driving them hit decent numbers. Columbia + Ineffa being the other wheelchair.

Btw, Shenhe's E quills does not stack. If you do her E second time (C1), it will refresh to new one. So, no double buff at one time; either NA/CA or Skill/Burst. More energy orbs tho so that's a plus.
