Don't you find it curious how the Tsaritsa's plan is synchronised with the Traveler's journey?
Isn't it curious how the Tsaritsa had 500 long years to start collecting the Gnoses yet only sent la Signora take the Anemo Gnosis when the Traveller woke up?
How curious is it too that that the Tsaritsa picks up the next Gnosis depending on where the Traveller goes
It's like she doesn't move unless the Traveller moves, as if her plan doesn't advance off-screen. Following her pattern, we could have stayed in Sumeru for 5 years canonically, yet the Tsaritsa wouldn't have sent Arlecchino to take the Hydro Gnosis until we decided to move to Fontaine. Of course she could have waited all that, where's the hurry? HP is asleep and 5 years is nothing compared to the 500 years she seemingly waited for the Traveller to wake up before taking the Anemo Gnosis
All of this can be a coincidence ONLY IF Sandrone wasn't tracking our every move through Katheryne's eyes and reporting everything to the Tsaritsa so that she could then plan her next move accordingly.

This is called plot convenience.
The whole thing is made up by a writer.
- ZL decides to retire the year the Traveler went there
- Fontaine prophecy kick into effect when the Traveler arrive
- So is Natlan war
It is the protagonist's power.
Not the strongest pattern tbh. For all we know Remuria had nothing to do with a repeating prophecy and it was an entirely different thing altogether.
Edit: Further detailing the Remuria era flooding doesn't increase the sample size or prove that it's the same prophecy running on repeat.
The whole reason Remuria was obsessed with turning people into Stone Golems, studying the world theories and Fortuna was because a previous civilization in Fontaine also got flooded for pissing off Celestia. It's mentioned in the Remuria history book.
Remus pulled an angel out of the ruins of that civilization which is where he learned a bunch of this. (Angel becomes the big harp thing we dealt with in the WQ). The info eventually gets passed down to Rene which is where he learned about descenders and the world formula.
The floods are for different reasons, but each civilization has faced one.
Also when you dive in fontaine you can see so many major ruins under the water as well the massive completely built bridges under the sea. Those ruins show that floods have happened multiple times in history on both small and large scale.
Ruins near tower of narzissenkruz.
Ruins behind the fontaine city.
Domains in escoffer story quests all show the previous cities that have drowned multiple times.
I just mentioned remuria because it was the largest city before court of Fontaine and more prosperous.
More commonly referred to as contrived plot and bad writing.
It's fun to think about in a Cinema Sins/Pitch Meeting way, but it would be boring as hell if we got to Sumeru and Nahida was just chilling there because Cyno, Alhaitham, and co. figured stuff out and beat Scaramouche while no one was looking.
A writer's job and the quality of writing doesn't have as much to do with being "realistic" or probable as the internet would have you believe.
I think thats partly why multiple protagonist stories work well is they break this up without having to think about it too much. You already get multiple perspectives, so the story becomes and interlaced chain of events worth following, not just "everything happened to the mc cause we needed it to".
I kind of like how canonically in Genshin technically if you skip an event it's just treated like you just weren't there. So technically i guess there are other protagonists, we just don't see them all....
And to be fair, Inazuma and Sumeru were technically because we showed up and did things because someone asked us to help get things moving. Inazuma would have stopped Ei eventually maybe but we made it a much faster process. Nahida might have eventually gotten free and dealt with Wanderer but i doubt it would have gone the same without Traveller. And Nod-Krai was kind of possible because we got nosy.
Natlan just went the complete opposite direction and made us into this hero that functioned as the last hope.
The Traveler just happened to reach near its conclusion,
It is just the fact that it is a fictional story and not real life.
Between the Hexenzirkel, Paimon, and Venti there's enough suspicious connections to massively powerful beings to support that right at the very beginning of our journey.
They are the key to ending the world that Teyvat has in store; the Abyss knows it.
Tsarina Nona's plans to obtain the Gnosis have backfired; rather, she has failed in most of them, and it was the Traveler's intervention that allowed him to acquire the Gnosis, as if Celestia expected him to, as if that were his destiny.
Seriously though, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, it will all start connecting with each other at the end of the journey. The fact about keeping tabs on traveller is not too impossible.
*500 millions years ago*
"PHANESgpt, is tomato a fruit or a vegetable?"
For Mondstatd, Venti had been dormant until recently when the Traveler arrived. In Liyue, La Signora had actually entered a contract with Morax for the Gnosis before we even arrived. Same thing in Inazuma with La Signora and Scaramouche playing both side of the war most likely to weaken Ei and steal the Gnosis. The events in Sumeru were completely unrelated to the Tsaritsa's plan. And once again in Fontaine, Arlechino never planned to acquire the Gnosis, she legitimately wanted to save her homeland and got it from Neuvillet who didn't want it. And once more in Natlan, the Gnosis was only secondary for Capitano who was there to help in the war against the Abyss.
The Tsaritsa's plan isn't following the Traveler, it's the Traveler that keep coincidently stumbling on the Fatui's plans.
Because I remember Varka and other people saying they befriended barbatos a good while before and that wouldn't really be possible if he was asleep for like 50 years.
Yeah, she didn't even plan to kill Furina in dark alley to get a Gnosis, yes? And her children tried to get closer to the most important Fontainian machine just because of curiosity, and not in search of the most powerful object in a country.
The Tsaritsa is trying to do something that would otherwise be impossible under the existing rules or "fate" of Teyvat. She cannot defy the established order under the Heavenly Principles or hope to overthrow them. This is baked into the core of Genshin Impact's lore and they have been building up the role "fate" plays in the story from the very beginning. So people saying this is just plot convenience don't seem to get it. This is not merely plot convenience, but something they deeply enmeshed in the plot itself. Traveler's presence is *necessary* for all of these events to kick off, because Traveler allows for individuals and groups operating under fate's laws to reach unexpected or otherwise impossible outcomes.
Hopefully that sounds familiar.
The recent archon quest revolved around the good guys and Dottore both trying to defy fate for their own reasons. The good guys wanted to bring Columbina back despite the laws of time, space, life, and death preventing her from resurrecting as long as the moon was kept outside of the fake sky. Dottore wanted to supplant the heavenly principles completely and establish himself as the new god of the world order.
They made it really obvious that the good guys needed Traveler for the world formula to work, their influence made what was otherwise an impossible outcome the reality. Dottore *heavily* hinted that he needed the Traveler to join him and endorse Dottore's new world order of cruelty and complete freedom when experimenting on others. He seemed downright desperate to get Traveler to support him, and Dottore doesn't care about *anyone* except for how useful they are as tools to achieve his goals. Which was to overthrow the HP and install himself as God over all of Teyvat.
I am extremely confident that these recent events and lore drops are all blatantly building up the Tsaritsa's plan as one that defies Teyvat's fate and thus relies on an "outside variable", the Traveler, to succeed. She will have to convince us to join her and support her vision for a new world order, and succeed where Dottore failed. Knowing this (she seemed to recruit Dottore and Sandrone on board specifically to research this exact topic), her plans were all literally in stasis until a descender like the Traveler came to Teyvat while also being non-aggressive enough to reason with. Since the Abyss Twin has been active for a while and had such deep ties to Kaenri'ah, there is a good chance that the Tsaritsa learned about them and the Traveler's history and expected the Traveler to show up eventually to look for their sibling, and planned the entire time around that eventuality.
TL;DR She was a descender but after the reset she became a variable.
So. Here's my crackpot theory.
\- The Tsaritsa has been influenced by The Abyss the same way The Sinners and The Vinster King was.
\- The Tsaritsa are using The Fatui to weaken Teyvat to make it less resistant when The Abyss launches this Samsara's last invasion.
\- Yes, she has gotten every Gnosis (except Mavuika's). But The Traveller have been changing the outcomes of those events, making them turn out more positive compared to what they would've been if they haven't showed up. Outright strenghtening Teyvat instead of weakening it.
And so Teyvat's story, the Tsaritsa's plan, only advances when Traveler advances. Not because everyone plans their movements around Traveler, but because the story may only happen when the reader turns the page.
Dvalin started going berserk as soon as the traveler arrived in mond
Zhongli just happened to dramatically retire by putting his nation up against a god the moment the traveler came to liyue.
Inazuma is just bad all around. I mean i like raiden she's my main for like 2 years but inazuma AQ was not it.
Sumeru dottore's plans and scaramouche's gundam just happened to be in the final phase when the traveler got there?
A prophecy from ancient times in fontaine is only now getting fulfilled when the traveler arrived
Abyss problem reached its peak when the traveler arrived in natlan. Just in time when he got his name for the power up.
Now nod krai, rerir, who had been trying to recuperate slowly for years now made huge recovery when the traveler arrived. Columbina who had been dying since birth was saved because the traveler arrived just in time.
Traveler, the god of time because his timing is so immaculate it's actually funny.
>The Narzissenkreuz Ordo believes that people continuously refine themselves through samsara cycles. These include Hyperborea, Natlantea, Remuria, and the first half of the fourth samsara (Khraun-Arya), which we are presently experiencing.
The note was written \~500 years ago hence "the first half ... we are presently experiencing".
The Tsaritsa initially sent Signora on a vision collecting journey and the Traveler happened to go to her next destination. Not that big of a coincidence, Liyue was right there next to Mondstadt and since Inazuma is in the middle of nowhere but closest to Liyue, it just made sense to take that out of the way for both of them.
After Signora dies in Inazuma, multiple Harbingers are sent in multiple places. We know from an event that Capitano was already in Natlan before we got to Sumeru/Fontaine (I don't remember if the event was in 2.x or 3.x) and Arlecchino was operating in Fontaine since forever, she was going back and forth, and even before the Traveler step foot in Fontaine she already tried to get the gnosis, but she couldn't find it.
Imagine Fontaine just gets flooded when the Traveller is still in Inazuma, or Natlan's abyss attacks escalated when the Traveller was still in Mondstadt, hell, imagine any major WQ happening while the Traveller isn't there to stop it.
Teyvat is genuinely a shitty place to live because ignoring the natural monsters that spawn out of nowhere, dead gods haunting places, and literal super mafia, every Tuesday is just another world ending threat that would've wiped out Teyvat if it wasn't because of the Traveller. Better pray to the region's God that the Traveller doesn't suddenly croak or get sealed for whatever reason.
- Aether confronted Tsaritsa
- Aether found out Tsaritsa is just misunderstood and sad
- Tsarita fell in love with Aether
If this didn't happened, hoyo must be acting sus
There's a lot of conveniences but they create coincidences with the order and not the other way around.
>!Doesn't that mean that the Tsaritsa would lose contact with Sandrone, making it harder for her to plan her next move against us?!<
They did say they had been too vague about the whole journey thing. And they knew where we were heading.
Liyue - Easily the most random of shit.
Inazuma - While the Vision Hunt Decree kind of started suspiciously, the rest DID happen because both the Fatui and Ayaka knew about what the Traveler has done in other nations
Sumeru - It was implied that the plan has already started years before the current story, but it was expediated by the fact that Scaramouche gain the Elector Gnosis (from Yae in exchange for allowing the Traveler to leave)
Fontaine - So if you just did the Archon Quest it would sound the fact that the flood coincided with the Traveler arriving to be contrived, but the Narzissenkreuz WQ showed that Rene calculated that said disaster will arrive on Fontaine at around this time (as shown in the Doomsday Clock in the Institute).
Natlan - The entire plot of Natlan happened just as planned by Mavuika and the Six Heroes during the Cataclysm. The only change that the Traveler really did is accompanying Mavuika and saving her. Otherwise, it was implied that Mavuika will give up her life to defeat Gosythoth OR to end the Ode of Ressurection (and give Natlan a new future without war).
Nod-Krai - The plot of the region happened because the Tsaritsa has finished with what she wanted with Columbina (implied to be either an experiment or procedure that consumed most of her powers), and the latter wanting to leave the Fatui. Dottore is also just waiting in the sidelines, and hastened his plan by manipulating Rerir.
The biggest coincidence here honestly is the Traveler waking up after around 500 years from the Cataclysm, at roughly the same time as the flooding that Rene predicted. Wouldn't be surprised if either Venti or Istaroth has something to do with this.
I wish there were dialogues like "Hey, while you've been away in Fountaine, we had to fight a ruin hunters invasion and half of our city wall crumbled under the constant pressure, but in the end we managed to destroy every single one of them." Nah, if there's ANY event in the world, it happens only when the Traveler is around, and that feels cheap
Someone or some force deliberately had the Traveler wake up at this precise time. This is basically the point where various different factors would begin coming to a head. The Tsaritsa's plan to obtain the Gnoses, the Abyss Order stepping up their game, the Abyssal activity in Natlan reaching its apex. None of this stuff was specifically related to the Traveler, but I think the reason the Traveler woke up at this moment was explicitly in response to all of this. I think it's pretty clear that the Sibling had no idea the Traveler prior to their arrival in Stormterror's Lair, so this definitely wasn't something they were anticipating at all.
On the other hand, Zhongli deciding to choose this specific year to start his retirement plan might have actually been in response to the Traveler's arrival. I have no real evidence, but I suspect that he actually knew about the Traveler's existence beforehand and chose to wait for this precise moment.
After both the Stormterror and Osial incidents, I believe that that's when various parties started factoring Traveler into their plans in earnest.
But meeting the Tsaritza is basically one of THE plot highlights I am most curious, interested about and looking forward to. There's now literal years of buildup for this - from when Venti was K.O.'d for his gnosis all the way to working with The Knava to resolve the issues in Fontaine and watching the Captain challenge Death in Natlan - and let alone all the absolute shenanigans in Nod-krai. And of course everything in Sumeru, Liyue and such.
This'll be big. I am very interested to learn about her real plans, motivations and ambitions. Will she challenge the heavenly principals? What is the Fatuis actual goal? All these things.
I also hope to see the other Archos show up in the plot again in this context or after. I feel like there is still some milage in each archon for a little more plot alongside the traveler.
But first comes the post-plot versions, then the summer and then...we shall see. :3
\*Immitates Ryan George voice\* So the story can happen.
Why, though?
"Hey, get AAAAAALLL the way off my back on that one."
Attempt to take Venti’s gnosis was happening way before anyone even knew who we were. They literally mention this like first 10 mins to the game, how Fatui are interfering with Dvalin and stuff.
We went to Liyue like immediately after Mondstadt because Venti told us we don’t have enough time. So then again Zhongli and Tsartisa don’t have enough time to make a deal and plan everything after traveler started the journey.
And Inazuma is pretty obvious it’s an ongoing thing we got in the middle.
Sumeru is a development because of our actions in Inazuma, gnosis and harbingers. So it’s pretty obvious it will match with our journey. But Nahida’s troubles was there long before we did anything.
Fontaine was doing this act for 500 years, we acted as a catalyst. And Tsaristsa literally didn’t have anything to do with it, she and Arlecchino didn’t even know where the gnosis was until everything was over.
Natlan is where our protagonist POV is obvious, because Mavuika’s plan aligned perfectly with our arrival. And Capitano and Tsaritsa got involved at the same time because of Capitano’s knowledge about Mavuika’s plan. Nothing to with our arrival.
So to summarize, Mondstadt plan was happening before we did anything, we just gave them an opening. Liyue was happening at the same time based on a contract.
Inazuma was also an ongoing thing before we went there, and we were the reason they got to execute the plan and get the gnosis.
Sumeru plan happened because of our actions and results of the Inazuma. Fontaine they just got it handed over by luck by Neuvillette. Natlan it’s still with Mavuika, Capitano came there based on Mavuika’s plan which started 500 years ago, we just happened to arrive at the same time because of the plot.
2. Third descender started his journey on Teyvat -> Started his quest for the hand of Snow Maiden -> Got carved in seven pieces, which probably started Archon War
3. Traveler started his journey on Teyvat -> ??? -> ???
>!0. First descender started his journey on Teyvat -> ??? -> Became Heavenly Principles !<
I think that without realizing it, she has been heading towards her inevitable event for some time now, where all the Traveler's interventions are changing her fate and that of Teyvat.
"Gameplay videogame logic"
Don't look too much into it, don't even really account it into lore readings.
