Wasn't 3.1 more than 3 years ago? If you had been working full-time for 3 years excluding 4 weeks annual leave per year (and not taking into any consideration sick leave on top of that), you would have sunk 5400 hours into a corporate role, so... take your joys where you can get them.

I have been playing since launch and I have close to 15k hours.
If you are wondering. It is around 40 hours a week on genshin for 5 years straight. Which I am surprised since I thought it would be more.
I feel like I should mention that at least 1/3 of the hours are AFK hours.

what are yall even doing in game though? I’m a 1.0 player, only missed 7 days and haven’t missed any content nor events and I only have 1800ish hours at this point, and I absolutely make sure not to cap on resin so it’s not like I’m not farming every day either lol

Depends how much you like exploration. For me it's the best part of the game so I like to take it slow. I literally leave no stone unturned and often come back in the same place multiple times.

According to google that was 1,213 days ago.
That's like playing 2.5h per day. Or to be more precise: having the game client run for that long, it doesn't necessarily mean active playtime.
I am employed and you should see my /played from MMO's lol. 75% of that time is probably just me chatting with folks abusing the game client ans funky chat app.

I finally got mine. 1.0 player, 2377 hours. But there have been multiple times over the years where I've taken breaks for entire patches. Same with dailies, long stretches where I'll just ignore the game entirely. I've seen a lot of other 1.0 players with 5k+ hours.

oh wow, I've only managed to put about 700 hours into it since i started playing on xbox, back during 6.0 😅... that is what unemployment looks like
