Did the main "Nod Krai" music theme fully played at any point in the quest or region?

Apart from the intro playing shortly during act 4, does it ever get fully played in game? The archon quest was so good that I never noticed that they never played it despite it being the main theme and honestly one of the best tracks yet. I kinda feel like its a missed opportunity if they dont even use it as a whole track.

It plays during a pretty important scene in Act 8. Only the beginning vocals though.

oh was it act 8? But yea thats the only part that comes to mind, I waited for a bit that time maybe they play it in full or something.

Not fully, just a little bit in act 8.

I don't think any of the main region themes (the one with the live orchestras) actually play in full in game. Instead, those main themes contain the motifs that will be present in the entire region. Meaning you'll only hear parts of it at a time.

yeah I just noticed, I guess why I never figured it out before was because now I was actively tryna listen for the theme. Did the nod krai theme or at least a track with the same melody play in the overworld?

LeagueOfHurricane2026-01-23 10:41

Yes. You can hear parts of it [here](https://youtu.be/mjWhlJgrG9I?si=MeAWxEJ_Wp8cJZk5). I'm sure there are more examples, but that one comes to mind for me.

What do you mean by “fully played”, if you meant like the whole song then no region does it?

harudesu2026-01-23 09:46

wdym, I think this is the first track I never heard in game apart from character themes. Every region has a theme titled the same as the region apart from monstadt probably. Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine main themes all play in idle when in the region. Natlan I'm not sure but I think I've heard it in the AQ.

Skykeeper222026-01-23 09:52

The ones that played in the overworld (aside from Liyue) are not even the actual main themes. They are variations with the same melodies. For example, [Sumeru’s](https://youtu.be/p_HmwQRfxQU?si=AdaOuqK3bUPpmZJQ) theme never played in-game, the city version is [this one](https://youtu.be/if2wekRykF0?si=qjvutGy6qT2A929-)

Nod Krai also has one or two tracks in the overworld with the same melody, and does Columbina’s theme not count?

Edit: Actually I checked and Sumeru’s main theme did play in act 4 of its archon quest. But only the first minute and a half. So it’s not the full song too. Fontaine and Natlan’s one definitely never played.

yea I just checked too in inazuma, I never noticed they never played it full and I cant even get to play the main theme in other regions in game apart from liyue. But I'm pretty sure I heard them all in game just because they sound familiar, but yea you said the nod krai theme has a track with the same melody in game? where or when can I hear it, i really wanna give it a listen in game just for the experience cause I really like the theme. I havent explored nod krai much just did the archon quest.

Skykeeper222026-01-23 10:49

Well first of, Columbina’s theme in [Silvermoon hall](https://youtu.be/rX8kBUIT5dE?si=M78GOZsl_NSVpfeV) is already the Nod Krai theme, but there’s also the same melody playing when exploring like [this one](https://youtu.be/mjWhlJgrG9I?si=aU9G1mKZJ_5TlNjS) for example.

But if you want an epic sounding version, I guess the closest one has to be the [Moon prayer night](https://youtu.be/xPEA-R517qo?si=H9vb3meC2lHIOWg1) theme then (which was archon quest exclusive, in fact many of the main theme melodies played only in the archon quests including part of [the actual main theme](https://youtu.be/0Rwmgt75OAk?si=eXw4-uT8ay5iIlXy) itself too)

harudesu2026-01-23 10:51

omg yes the moon prayer theme how did I miss that thanks! I guess I was too busy having fun doing the mini events to notice

Caelesti_Deus2026-01-23 10:44

I have it playing all the way through in my teapot land

harudesu2026-01-23 10:50

can you choose what bg would be playing in teapot, mine is still stuck in the liyue-esque region

TheEdelBernal2026-01-23 15:13

Yes, there’re two furnitures that allow you to change music in the teapot, one for indoor and one for outdoor.

You need to collect Spincrystal first before you can change the musics through. They look like golden disks in the overworld.
