Have I bricked my account?

Hai! I’ve been playing Genshin very on and off for a few years now, but clearly I’ve made some off choices on who to pull. I come asking, have I bricked my account with these choices? I can only get to floor 11-2 of the abyss normally, but I’ve also been struggling to kill overworld enemies which leads me to ask. I am AR 55, with about 80 total quests backed up all the way to Liyue, including story quests. It is very overwhelming. Would it be better to just start over, or work through it?
I have been trying to rely on leylines to give me books, but this leaves me no resin for any artifact farming, and barely enough books to level up anyone. Only 5 fragile resin.
If the former, what teams should I focus on, and who should I pull for next? I want Columbina, but unsure if she would help me, or if I’d even have enough primos to get her.

There's no such a thing as a bricked account, there may be just some temporary setbacks from bad resource allocation. Between Varesa, Mavuika, Chevreuse and Fischl you have a great Overloaded team.

If you level up your Lauma your Columbina could be an on-fielder.

you could, you know, start leveling your chars beyond lvl 70.

Not only will your talents be stronger the amount of damage you deal is dependant on the difference in level between you and the enemy.

Mavuika, Neuvilette, Furina, Lauma... all solid chars. Try to focus on those first. Columbina is very strong in combination with Lauma.

I don’t know if you read all the way, but as I said, I’ve been relying on leylines for small amounts of books, but it is not enough. I am unsure how to get anymore consistently outside of these and events whenever they come.

Starting a new account will just lead to the same problem though. You can't really speedrun leveling the chars, unless you spend money. You already have good characters though, just need to concentrate your focus on them a bit more. Mavuika/Varesa/Lauma are very promising units.

Just focus on one char for now, get XP/Mora from Leylines and get them up to lvl 80. Then ascend them so they are at 80/90. try to get talent levels to at least 6, higher once you have enough resources. Look for guides on which talent levels to focus on. most units only need 1 or 2 talents leveled up. For Mavuika it would be Burst, then Skill level. Yes, this will take a bit of time, but that's kinda the nature of the game.

It's ok most of the times from what I've seen, but can miss a few things. I used their guides to farm materials a lot when there was no ingame tracker.

For character builds and synergistic team partners, Keqingmains is the more elaborate and in-depth alternative. On top of that, their infographics pack the most useful information of a character in a well arranged and easily digestible layout.

Genuine question though, I see a common sentiment from “bricked accounts” is to “start over”, what makes you think starting over is a better choice than just continuing with your current account? Even if you lack a lot of options with your current account, starting over literally REMOVES all of the options you currently have??

In my case with so many quests backed up, it just makes it alot more manageable to be able to open the quest view and actually have any idea of what to do. Also, being an AR such as mine, it is very hard for me to farm anything when I cannot kill anything.
Yes, I have my World Level lowered. No, it does not help.
But this is just my personal experience, I am sure it varies based on the person!

Well I suppose for you specifically, an excellent way to make an easier time to kill overworld enemies is first, choosing a dps to center your team around (the one in your screenshot is fine), and then learning what they actually do.

In the team you currently have, Kuki actually does the majority of the damage, triggering hyperblooms, but hyperblooms scale with level (level a LOT) and EM and your kuki is the lowest level on your team, and she’s also the most important team member.

Team 1: Varesa Iansan Mavuika Chevreuse

Team 2: Neuvilette Furina Lauma Kuki (or Raiden instead of Kuki)

Alternative teams:

Mavuika Iansan Bennet Furina

Kinich Iansan Mavuika Bennet (or Baizhu instead of Bennet)

Iansan doesn't interfere with burning. She gives atk buff from her kit and dmg% from the cinder city artifact set

I don't think so.

You have some OP units like Mavuika, Lauma, Varessa.

Furina is still incredibly useful, especially with how much Hydro is needed for Stygian Onslaught nowadays.

Neurvilette is still very strong if you get the right supports for him, which you have! You can run Neurvilette, Furina, Lauma, Raiden for a seriously strong Hyperbloom team! I bruteforced some Stygian Onslaught bosses on Fearless with this team.

Kinich and Navia can still do good damage if you invest a bit into their teams.

Lynney, Yoimiya, and Wanderer are stronger than ever if you get Durin.

What you need to do now is strategically think about your pulls moving forward. Columbina strikes me as a great option for your account. She essentially turns your C0 Chiori into C1 Chiori without requiring you to run bad Geo units with her.

So Columbina could make Chiori/Navia + hydro app (Aino or Xingqui) a viable team. She could be a Lunar Bloom on-field DPS. And you could use her to clear Lunar-Charged checks. She's incredibly versatile.

But yeah, you have the units to make at least 2 strong teams! The Neurvilette Hyperbloom team I mentioned and a Varessa Overload team with Mavuika, Chevreuse, and Iansan.

The Mavuika/Iansan core also works for Kinich. You can't have a Kinich team and a Varessa team at the same time, but you can run both of them to suit different content requirements.

The two characters I'd focus on getting are Columbina and Durin. They would buff a bunch of your existing characters and make their teams better. I prefer this to getting new DPSs and essentially benching the ones you have, but you do you.

I've already explained how Columbina would help your account.
Durin would be the BiS support for Varessa, Kinich, Lynney, Yoimiya, Wanderer, Raiden, Navia. And he could also make use of Wrio as a Cryo applier for his Melt playstyle.

You definitely haven’t bricked your account as you have some great characters and supports so you just need to pick two teams to focus on and fully level up their level, weapon, talents and supports. Columbina with Lauma are a great core to any lunar bloom team so that can be the first one you focus on if you do pull for her.

I saw you say you’re struggling with your world level so maybe farming world bosses is a challenge. Try find someone that can help you in coop to farm bosses as the first step is to level characters up as that will help you in the overworld. Editing to add to stop trying to level up everyone as that can also be overwhelming. Pick the core two teams you like playing and full ascend those 8 characters first.

I really wouldn’t start over as if you’re overwhelmed by the backlog of quests that’s not going to go away by starting a new account. Either ignore the quests if you have no interest in doing them or just slowly chip away at it by maybe doing one WQ or SQ each week. The quest log clears out faster than you think.

Keep in mind that you have A LOT of characters that you can send to imaginarium theater (which is a roster check kind of endgame). That endgame mode is easy as long as you have a lot of characters to send.

Another thing is resin. We only have max of 200. Restart now and you'll take ages getting everybody back to where they are currently. Goodbye to imaginarium theater and even floor 12 lmao

my issue is that, i have no more resources beside mora to allocate. I am unsure where to get more outside of leylines and events, which stops me from using said characters in the theater as they are not high enough.

You have Lauma and Mavuika pretty much the 2 best characters in the game.

The reason you cant pass floor 11 or clear spiral abyss like a walk in the park because you havent built even one character.

Its literally impossible to brick an account its a silly catchphrase (though funny when used in a humourous context) this aint one of them.

Onus is you to actually build them properly its your account

Do this:

Level up Mavuika and her talents, equip Tidal Shadow, lvl up Iansan and talent put on an energy polearm full atk pieces, Bennett sapwood blade, burst level it up and his level, Chevy lvl 70 black tassel, there overworld is piss easy now.

You can do that so quickly.

If want to find materials without getting into combat underwater Fontaine is litted with stuff, Nod Krai both sections have so much freebies.

Game aint difficult if you actually play it.

I used a mfn lvl 50 Barbara, Jean, Kaeya and Ineffa overworld was a joke

Okay so first of all: there is no bricked Account, if you want to work on it and try to get stronger to have it easier, it can be easily done!

And now to the main thing, something im seeing here is that you mainly pulled DPS Characters, which... is fine basically, but since you struggle on the overworld, you should now focus more on Supports/Sub DPS Characters, You could pull Characters like: Citlali, Xilonen, Nahida, maybe Zhongli, etc. they are all pretty easy to build and still give a lot of value to your Teams.
But even with current Characters like: Bennett, Fischl, Kuki, Xiangling, Ororon, Xingqiu, Chevreuse (for Overload) and Iansan, you can do awesome stuff \^\^

For Resources, try and do Quests first that dont require fighting, there are pretty many actually that give a lot of resources and are easy to do \^\^ and if you can, explore as much as you can, exploration also gives a ton of stuff.

Thank you very much! I just won my 50/50 on Columbina, and I assume she is a support? I have been told by a few people here to pull for Durin, but I thought he was dps? I do not keep up with this game, my apologies if this is a dumb question.
I will try to get Xilonen, but I also want Flins (and I am not a fan of Ineffa), who would you suggest I get in preparations for him?

Well Durin CAN be a DPS, but i dont recommend using him that way unless you really dont have anyone else, he is just so many times better as Support/Sub DPS than as a DPS, and i actually recommend pulling for him, because he can be used in basically every Team, except with a Hydro/Cryo DPS (if you get his C2 he can also be used for them) because he decreases every RES except Hydro/Cryo \^\^ (And dont worry, it isnt a dumb question \^\^)

Tbh, Ineffa is the best for him, but as long as you have 2 Nod Krai Characters in your Team (thats Flins and Columbina) you can actually play whoever you like, many play Ineffa because of her Shield too, but you can also use Kuki for survivability too (you should build her anyway because shes also good, so win-win) and then you just put Sucrose in it, same with Kuki, shes good and actually best support for Flins Team \^\^
