I've seen this happen with anime and manga too from Japan, I'm not sure exactly why but I'm just assuming that over in the East they don't really think story spoilers matter that much.

It seems to be that they care more about how exactly the events play out even if they know the outcome.

Bro, on patch day just mute any Genshin subreddits until you've finished the Archon Quests. Trust me, it is worth it. I basically got spoiled on everything for patch 6.1 but basically nothing since muting subreddits -- everything apart from the Sandrone spoiler shown in this post anyway and that was kind of my fault as I clicked on a spoiler image.

There are just too many people who make threads with titles like "OMG I can't believe \*x character\* did this!!" etc. So while they have marked the thread as a spoiler, their title still spoils anyway. Insanely frustating.

If you go by the thumbnail alone it's not even a spoiler to that. Sandrone and Dottore could have any number of reasons to be at odds with one another. Columbina doesn't appear in this thumbnail, and there's no way to know what either character is thinking of in this picture.

All this thumbnail spoils is that Dottore and Sandrone eventually clash. How or why they got into this situation is hidden unless you watch the video.

I sent them feedback over this. "Thankfully," some morons already spoiled this scene to me earlier. But if I managed to dodge the bullet until now, only to be spoiled about Dottore's presence, or this particular scene happening to begin with, I'd be seriously pissed off.

I can't even begin to imagine how much of a slap this is to the effort of all the storyboard people in the dev team, all the writers, etc.. They can only helplessly watch as the management greenlights stuff like this to market their game. Such a soulless decision, trampling on their hard work.
