Skirk or C1 Flins + Columbina

I have recently came back to the game after 2 years, and I have Flins from release. I've never really touched meta so when I tried him out, HE IS INSANE!!!!

Currently, I have no Cryo DPS or well-built character. Skirk is really cool, I love her design. I heard she is really meta. But I do have to admit I like Flins a tiny bit more.

Unfortunately, I really really really want Neuvillette, so I can't afford to get Columbina or Ineffa (Unless someone convinces me to) as of now. I will definitely get Columbina on her soon rerun, though.

As for Escoffier, I definitely would have pulled, but theres no many characters I want from this patch that she is not a priority to me. Only if I end up obtaining Skirk, then her banner will be pretty much if I have any funds left that patch.

Skirk would want Escoffier so if you don't want Escoffie your Skirk is going to have a hard time dealing damage. if you just want Skirk on your account just to have her then by all means get her if you don't care about damage.

For Flins I would prioritize getting Columbina and Ineffa since those are his BiS teammates; Aino is the 4 star Columbina replacement and Fischl/Kuki would be Ineffa's replacement so if you can't get her before her banner ends you can use those two.

I got you. I believe one of the only reasons I was considering Skirk was because I don't have any good Cryo characters, but I think I will enjoy pursuing Flins a lot more. Thank you!!

I agree with that. I got both of them this patch for Flins and I absolutely don't regret it. they are a godsend for him and makes his playstyle much more fun.

I would get Flins over Skirk, especially since you like Flins more. Flins is arguably more f2p than Skrik as Skirk's teams (imo) are much more 5 star oriented. A good Flins team just needs Aino and Sucrose (Ineffa is a huge buff to the team as the 4th character but is not needed per se). However, Skirk builds without Furina have to grind a newer domain which is only good for skirk and some plunge dps. Also, without Escoffier (Me rn) skirk just doesn't feel as fun to play.

Overall, Skrik is just a much more 5 star hungry unit and doesn't provide as much shill as a lunar character. Flins>>Skirk.

If you go for Skirk, you absolutely want Escoffier as well. It would definitely cover your lack of cryo.

I want to stress how valuable Ineffa is for your choices here. Ineffa + Columbina is the strongest sub-dps core in the game. This could change, but this is how it is for now. They can wheelchair any team. Ineffa would boost your Neuvilette team big time. Ineffa would be just as valuable, if not a little more valuable, than C1 Flins for a Flins team while being more versatile.

That said, I would rather you have a slightly weaker team you enjoy than a stronger one you dislike. If you would rather not have Ineffa, I would go for the C1 Flins.

Ineffa = strongest, most flexible. Flins C1 = one very strong team. Skirk = Cryo coverage, left with 2 decent teams (unless you get Escoffier too, then her team becomes strong).

This worked on me, I went to watch Ineffa's trailer and now I'm telling you I really really love her. I have researched enough to know that her buff on flins is insane too.

My goodness, if only Neuvillette was before Ineffa. That is the main problem for me. In fact, just yesterday I lost my 50/50 on the current banner. My pity is reset, but I have a guarantee I would love to use on Neuvillette. I really would get both, but if I end up getting Ineffa and not have enough funds for Neuv, its a bummer, because I know he probably won't come back. (If a chronicled wish introduces, I would rather get wriorinde). So I would want to treat this as my only chance. Same for Ineffa too, though.

So first of all, seeing the recent opinions, I'm crossing out Skirk.

How I am picturing this is that solely due to the order of the banners, Neuvillette and C1 Flins. And taking your advice, it would be a miracle if I could get Ineffa + Neuvillette instead.

Something to take account is that I havent played since Sumeru, so I still have 3 entire archon quests (In the middle of Fontaine, then Natlan and Nod-Krai), a lot of exploration, and I also noticed that events give a lot more than they used to. Judging by this, I would like to ask, will I be able to manage obtaining Ineffa + guaranteed Neuvillette? or is it just a dream to an F2P..???

The second half of this patch is Lantern Rite, so there are a lot more wishes available than usual this cycle. This will be at the same time as Neuvilette's banner.

The way I see it is that you could probably guarantee Neuvilette and C1 Flins or you can guarantee Ineffa and 50/50 on Neuvi. Both have their positives. One thing to note is that if you go for C1 Flins over Ineffa, Columbina is pretty tied to him unless you have another Nod Krai 5\*.

From our conversation, it sounds like Neuvi is what you want the most. If that's the case, I'd pass on Ineffa to grab Neuvi and C1 Flins. Neuvi seems to get compatible supports consistently and Flins will still be quite good. That said, I'm open to the idea of dropping a cheeky 10 - 30 pulls on Ineffa to see if you get lucky! A lucky early should give you plenty to guarantee Neuvi.

As someone who loves and has both Skirk and Flins teams, it's close, but I'd suggest Flins.

They are both really good and powerful teams, but I find myself getting more mileage out of Flins currently. That could and probably will change as the content shilling pendulum continues to swing.

But I do suggest getting a Skirk team eventually too if you love her, as long as she doesn't get overly powercrept in 7.0.
