His main contribution to EC teams is his ability to buff both elements with 4p Scroll. Very nice for the old EC teams we used to have, but completely useless for the new Lunar Charged teams.

That's why his best role is being the SMS holder and letting Columbina use aubade. Other than that he has a little boost to LC dmg in the form of atk buff but only at C6. I guess he can use elegy too but so can any other bow user. However, he indirectly buffs LC by having nightsoul for Ifa's LC buff passive.
His main strength in that team is his good aoe and grouping via taunt.

He's also a weirdly good applicator in the absense of other units. And recharges bursts. I've liked using him more than Fischl most of the time with Flins, which only recently changed because of hex buffs.

So I've been running this team as my Ifa/Ororon are both C6, I was considering swapping to Surcrose/Fischl but while Fischl is C6 my Surcrose is C0 - would it still be an upgrade to swap over? Id test it myself but Im out of gold/resin is needed elsewhere currently and Id need to build Surcrose from level 20, so wanted to double check its worth it first 😅

Afaik none of the sucrose cons really matter that much, c1 can be *nice* for energy but isn’t really needed, and the 20% elemental DMG% from c6 doesn’t do much on a lunar charged team. The EM buff from ascension passive is the main thing that sets her apart
If you already have ifa c6 and built I don’t think it’s that much of a downgrade if building sucrose is going to be a pain, especially since ifa heals which can be nice for comfort
