So...remember this guy called MOON CARVER?
[??? indeed](https://preview.redd.it/6zt8s9erg5fg1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=612640eef29a4a81856d9247a5095fd9471b8c75)
Given what we know now about the moon lore, isn't "Moon Carver" a very...*interesting* name for a Liyue adeptus?? What's up with that?
And in Chinese, his name is 削月筑阳真君, which means, "The Perfected Lord who Carves the Moon and *Builds the Sun*." So this guy's got sun lore attached to him, too, which we haven't even begun to hear about.
Address the ~~stag~~ elephant in the room, hoyo plz

Solar vapes and melts anyone?
Also just now was reading about the sun chariot, and... I think HP is the one with solar authority.
We've heard little about the Sun in our journey.
And in a sense it makes sense why we havent heard anything about HP lore intentionally. Traveller skin spoilers >!cos there might a reason for devs not wants to make anything about HP with Paimon for now. It would be opening a whole can of worms if tbe theory kf Paimon being the discarded module of HP!<
It also adds up eith the sun chariot lore. It fell into thr Chasm when the three moon goddesses fell, aka war of funerary flames, and thr chariot only got repaired by thr inhabitants in thr Chasm area and leaped back up in the sky after the archon war.
There's a new book that implies the star that fell into the chasm may actually be the heavenly principles during their battle with Nibelung, hence the gigantic crater.
Maybe the "solar chariot" was actually the heavenly principles spaceship?
But perhaps it didn't exactly come from our spaceship, nothing is stopping another pioneer vessel from falling in Teyvat and its AI going rouge, with our ship's AI perhaps being Paimon.
Liyue was already a mountain region before the Archon war yet we got a Mountain Shaper. There was also Cloud Retainer who I don't think takes care of clouds
Ping is called Streetward Rambler since she lives in Liyue among the people.
>Among the people of Liyue, tales of the Adepti are ever-abundant.
>Like the leisurely adeptus of the clouds who dispelled droughts with nourishing rain in the "Full Record of Pristine Pavilion," and the Golden-Winged King who purged plagues and banished pestilence in "Yakshas: The Guardian Adepti."
While it doesn't name her specifically, the odds that this "leisurely adeptus of the clouds" is not Cloud Retainer are extremely slim.
As for Mountain Shaper - even if there were already mountains, we don't know that he didn't reshape them after the fact. He didn't have to create them - just manipulate them. I don't think we have any kind of tale revealed to us yet, though. Ditto for Moon Carver. But it DOES seem to be implied that Adeptus earn their names through actual deeds - they're not just named by people looking for deities to attach natural phenomena to.
shenhe said that moon carver make a reading about her fate, so that means he probably something like astronomer, who can see past the false sky.
so maybe during the old liyue, he build something like sun moon chart, moon chart, or sun dial, moon dial, or anything related to astronomy that help liyue agriculture and ship trading, so liyue people respected him with that title.
And Streetward Rambler, while you're at it, damnit.
