Strange. Because the only 5-star Geo DPS characters are Itto, Navia, and arguably Chiori, and Itto is the only one that fell flat.
Hell, Hoyo's favorite elemental child has two 5-star DPS characters that fell off hard. Childe and Ayato.

Iirc calcs were showing her + Columbina being better than flins+bina or nefer+bina but her best teams are worse than flins’ or nefer’s best teams.
If you have units that synergise with her then she’ll serve you well enough if you want to pull her but even on her release she’s not on the top of the meta.

It's not really her plus Columbina, it's more like her plus C6 Illuga and any competent hydro applier. Zibai is the least reliant on Columbina of all the Nod Krai dps characters, but a ton of her damage is dependent on Illuga constellations.

Zibai is much stronger than any of the previous geo carries we've had, and with her "premium" team she'll perform just as well as the other nod-krai DPSes (so basically she'll be a top 5 carry). Her meta relevancy each version simply depends on what Hoyo is shilling, so unless the content has heavy geo resistance she'll likely be able to brute force just like skirk/mavuika/any other NK carry

For long term meta relevancy it does help that she is able to proc a DPS reaction in the form of lunar crystallize, but then it becomes highly dependent on whether they release characters that synergize with her and simultaneously increase her numbers. And as others have said it really just depends on whether they release content that specifically shills geo. Historically, not a lot of content has needed a dedicated geo carry, but who knows if that will change.

I think Flins, Nefer and soon Zibai are going to be where they are and never get anything else again. A character like Ineffa may see long term use even when Snezhnaya gets here and we go back to traditional dps(or some other gimmick). But I think we're unlikely to see any new supports for lunar dps and I think that's by design.
A character like Navia might become, not meta, but stronger with new supports(She just did with Columbina). I don't think Zibai gets stronger. Because all they have to do is not release characters that buff lunar damage.

Shill of u want but I think the past few patches have shown unit longevity is ending. Ineffa is a fluke because she’s not chained to ascendant gleam but the rest are quickly moving down the pecking order as more comes out. Every new character will be the best character in this era

Zibai isn't a Geo DPS, she is a Lunar DPS, it's different.
She is revelant because you need a Lunar team to do SA/SO/IT, but realistically, you only need one of those. If you already have Flins or Nefer, then to pull for Skirk/Mavuika is probably a better idea.
