Looking for some advice

I returned during Nod-Krai after a long break.
My most wanted units are Skirk and Escoffier, but I don't like Furina (At all), so is it even worth pulling for them without Furina?
Rumors say Skirk and Escoff will return in 6.4 and might be running together, I kinda have to choose between pulling for Flins cons or getting the cryo-duo.
I also have no dendro units beside Tighnari and Collei, what should my priorities be?
I don't wanna miss Skirk in case she meets the same fate as Ganyu (no reruns for 3 years).

Furina and Natlan units aren't welcome on my account due to the predatory synergy between Natlan as a region and the traveling abilities of Natlan units (consider it voting with my wallet)

Are you just antimeta? Generally speaking, in most games im thoroughly antimeta. Its more fun to struggle and beat the meta with mid/low tier units, especially in pvp games

That said I use furina to help wheelchair yumemizuki mizuki, and I use mauvika as an off field support for a yoimiya burn team 😅

I'm not antimenta It's just not a criteria that I care about when choosing characters, and somehow that landed me with owning only on-field dps units. I got Ineffa/Columbina this week.

Skirk story is still relevant, she will have more reruns, try to get Flins C2 as it’s the most important and he’s nothing without it.

This isn't a power-rating tierlist, I know Mavuika is the ceiling of powercreep, and that's exactly why I don't wanna buy into her undeserved popularity, same story with Furina.

Then why not Kazuha, at least? He is a more sane option considering Yoimiya gets totally wheelchaired in like 99% of teams these days. Even Sigewinne would probably be better.

I don’t know what her situation is as nobody seems to be speaking about her, and that’s why I made this post, so I could get informed by someone that knows more.
I don’t have a team in mind that Kazuha would help me on, I already have Xiao and Wanderer, getting another Anemo seems to be an exaggeration while I have no Dendro or Cryo.

In that case, the only ones who are really necessary for the "pull if needed" list are Lauma and to a lesser extent Shenhe. Lauma is just too good to pass up even without Nefer, and since you want Skirk, Escoffier and Yelan but not Furina, Shenhe may or may not do you wonders.

Thankyou, some suggested Mona instead of Furina, I think It will be years until Yelan reruns again, she had a rerun right before I returned.

I suggested Yelan only because you said you wanted her but didn't want Furina. Truth be told, I would rather put Xingqiu on that Skirk hypercarry team instead because he's cheaper.

if u get escoffier for skirk, which is the most important part, u can use mona for her omen and ttds, and a 4 star like charlotte or layla. yelan is also good teammate for skirk and she is on your “i want” list

I would also get Shenhe if it helps in any way, I don’t actually like any Dendro units beside Baizuh (and Lauma), but during recent endgame content I felt punished for not owning any of them.
So investing in 3 cryo units feels like I’m purposefully prolonging that punishment.

im pretty sure if u build your skirk right and get her escoffier u will be able to get all your primos in stygian and clear abyss. don’t rush it, i guess? and pull who u like. u are not obligated to have any dendro teams if they are not your priority rn and skirk rerun is behind the corner

Escoffier and Skirk do most of the heavy lifting anyway and Mona is quite good actually. Depends on what you want to clear but the duo makes spiral abyss a joke.

I have no idea what to do with Itto(C2), Cyno, Xiao and Wanderer, they're pretty much benched.

Bina and Ineffa works nice with Wanderer since he hates interruption. Mostly as a driver on VV widisth i believe

Same for Itto for geo reaction but alot less dps

Xiao has a really expensive team and it involves Furina unfornately.

Cyno is quite decent with Bineffa as he has long rotation and both have great uptime with their elemental app.

Outside of Skirk and Escoffier i dont actually see alot of units besides Lauma as a standalone just for value sake. Like Cyno/Lauma/Xingqiu flex will get him off the bench for his team lol

Mhm, I guess you could technically run Skirk - Escoffier - Yelan - Shenhe, and it would technically work, but I would imagine that's a significant DPS loss compared to getting Furina, not to mention you would be pulling for an entire team and who knows when Yelan and Shenhe could get a rerun or a Liyue Chronicled Wish. I'll see if I can test how much DPS loss that team would be.

As for Dendro, since you already have Bina Nefer and Lauma are the most obvious options. That team would usually want Nahida, but I guess you could put Shinobu in that slot and let her deal with the healing while Bina is built more towards Battery/DPS.

I thought about Nefer, her gameplay is not really my cup of tea, I just liked her in the story, she has charisma.
I guess Lauma is gonna be my next Dendro target, or whoever is gonna follow-up with that element.

And for Cryo I'll try to get Skirk+Escoffier and their constellations if I'm lucky.
It just feels like I'm missing out by not getting Furina, seriously I hate everything about her, and this makes me consider skipping them and getting the next Cryo unit that hopefully isn't Furina dependent, but that new unit might not be on my wavelength gameplay-wise, and this train of thoughts leaves me in a conundrum.

If you don't like Nefer's gameplay another option would be to go Baizhu - Nilou - Bina - Lauma, though we arrive at the same problem of not having any idea when Liyue units would get a rerun. We're probably due for a Sumeru Chronicled Wish soon, so Nilou wouldn't be as much of an issue, but still.

I also tested Skirk - Escoffier - Shenhe - Yelan at the Miliastra test dummy, and I lost like 15 - 25% DPS compared to Skirk - Furina - Escoffier - Dahlia. Didn't think to test Mona+TToDS instead of Shenhe, but I don't know if that would be fair for me to test since my Mona is C6.
