Genshin needs 30gb of storage. I dont think 4gb ram is enough tho
clorinde4ever2026-01-24 09:56
IOS devices have more optimization so it depends on your device
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 09:58
Android it does have expendable inbuilt ram of 8gb but i dont think that really of any use

There's no phone I'm aware of that allows you to add more RAM after the fact. Are you sure you aren't just confusing the phone with a higher end configuration of the same model?
Insofar as you can "expand" RAM with a pagefile/swap memory, where the phone borrows a small section of the SSD to use as RAM, since it's not actually RAM, there's a significant performance penalty for anything stored there - RAM is far faster and more responsive than an SSD.
Insofar as low RAM causes issues with gaming, the issue is generally that you won't be able to load high resolution textures. Mihoyo doesn't offer that level of control over settings, or even properly explain the settings they do offer, so basically your only option is to just turn down everything between (inclusive) shadow quality and environment detail.

Me when i havent studied and the only answer ik is from one line answer😔
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 12:03
Um bro i said the same thing in more easy words lmao anyways it worked so no issues
issm2026-01-24 20:52
As it turns out, words have meanings.
"Expandable RAM" means actually being able to add more RAM.
If you mean pagefile/swap, call it that.
A_Noelle_Main2026-01-24 11:14
That's just a virtual ram. I read somewhere that it doesn't help if the processing is huge though Genshin is pretty light. Why don't you try it first?
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 12:02
Yeah i tried playing and it worked around 80 to 90fps overall it was smooth didnt expected this much from my device lol

u could run it... it wont be fun to play tho. not with 4gb ram.
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 12:05
Well it was pretty smooth
magnidwarf19002026-01-24 10:34
My phone fdom 2021 with Snapdragon 732G with 8GB of ram can barely run it at 30fps
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 12:06
Lol did my phone went super saiyan mode?
magnidwarf19002026-01-24 13:09
Good for you I guess
One-Spare-7982026-01-24 10:40
I had a 8/128 gb phone one before and it served me well for like 5 years to play Genshin, the size isn't problem as long as the only 3D gacha game you install on the phone is just Genshin.
But that's with 8gb RAM, with your 4 gb RAM well it should still work since min spec for Genshin is 4 gb RAM, just don't expect comfortable play.
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 12:06
Ah
Apostlethe13th2026-01-24 10:52
Storage is one thing, SoC is another.
NOOBweee2026-01-24 11:01
What's your phone I need names
Soloking_Itachi2026-01-24 12:01
Sd cards don't work on genshin,if you didn't know, and 4g ram will just barely run,but your phone will be toasted each time.
Pure-Pomelo-83502026-01-24 12:08
I meant sd card for my personal storage and phone's memory for genshin well it worked pretty smooth but yeah my phone was toasted
