How do other late game players manage their artifact space?
I feel like since genshin consistently releases characters that use older sets Escoffier being the most recent example, I don't know what to trash and when, Ive been playing this game since release but for the last year my inventory has never known rest its always full and recently its so bad that im doing ley lines.
What do you guys trash the most? Do I start trashing double crit flower and feathers (most of them) as flowers and feathers are rarely ever off-set pieces? Do I trash atk% circlets and play we do not get a pure atk% user ever again? What should the priorities be for trashing?

I don't keep artifacts such as double crit attack circlets, planning for fictional characters that might never come is silly imo.
So for example
The Mara chusette hunters (probably misspelt that) is a set that's good for Normal attacks including neuvi, on dps units.
You want to priorities the attack/hp sands, the elemental dmg goblets and crit rate/crit dmg.
As a general base on what to keep for others.
If you have neuvi you might add hp as well.
Thus you realize that any er/ em/def sands, em/defense goblets and em/def/ healing circles can all be removed.
Em main stat is good for sets like
VV cause of swirl.
Maybe the bloom set in sumeru.
Like don't get me wrong you can keep a few pieces for an offset but generally speaking em is far easier to sort since it has less reliance on substs. Meaning in you have like 5 em pieces for a particular piece then your are set for off pieces.
Until nodkrai most em reactions like swirl, hyperbloom and electro charge didn't crit so you could have just grab any em piece, maybe ones with er and crit rate and call it a day.
The potential future character is admitted something I try to avoid.
That's a potential yet realize so I ignore it cause it's not guaranteed.
Some people use Marechausee on Hu Tao or Gaming when playing them with Furina and in those cases an EM sands would be optimal
I configured the artifact locking to lock anything that doesn't have flat substats. It's set to 3/4 substats just so i can let something like crit mainstat with substats of flat hp, hp%, em, er to pass through.
You will be shocked at the crap you have locked over time. Some sets I had 6-8 EM sands locked and 4 of them had useless substats
Flowers and feathers 3 usable effects
Goblets keep anything usable (usually the off set piece)
Rest go for usable main stats.
Main stat wise- keep ones the have very good substats.
Since we can see rolls, keep ones that roll 4-5 or higher.
When it comes to EM only keep a few for offset reasons.
As you build characters you need to keep less and less and some stats don't pair well as you also want a set effect with it. You have two options, say you'll stick with set effects, or take your 2/2 pieces and put them on a character and level it up and move on.
Most stats are placeholders for set effects but everyone really wants one.
VV- want EM (fine with purples) (The other want standard attack set done)
HP scales want the set effects so off set rarely works outside of just getting them started
DEF scales- want the same as HP
Healing Bonus- Scrap! maybe keep your best top two.
If you're real crazy give every character a standard set with 2/2 and while every bad one gets converted into the next. Then you only have set effects to make them stronger
Cirlets- go through crit and Crit damage and see how they roll. Attacks needs both crit and critdamage to be worth it, same with other.
Sands- same deal need at least 2 good stats and off set 3.
Convert convert convert until it's all used up.
I keep a couple good off piece atk%/hp%/def% circlets and goblets just in case someone needs them. I never keep artifacts at level 1, I level to 8, then if it's bad, feed it to the next one. Over and over until there's nothing left. This does leave me megabroke, but I hate unleveled artifacts sitting in my inventory.
Tbh my artifact inventory has never had more than 700 pieces in it, and most of my characters are built. Though I think I have better than average artifact luck so maybe that plays a part
Going through sets I've farmed a lot of and comparing potential pieces to what I've already got- often even things that look promising are a downgrade
Start rolling promising pieces and then if it doesn't go well, fodder to roll the next similar promising piece in the set until I've cut down on similar unrolled items
If something is reaaally good/rare I don't scrap it even if rolls badly as it might be worth rerolling
