Imagine having the whole team made out of Church of Favonius: Barbara, Rosaria, Dahlia and Seamus
Let the surprise crusade begin!

Rosaria avoiding mentioning that Barbara is his daughter makes me wonder how the game avoids showing that Barbara and Jean are sisters, as far as I can remember. I know their parents are divorced, so why should that matter in a place like Mondstandt?

That makes sense, but there are many characters who grew up in different environments and still interact. Furina, Navia, and Clorinde are also different classes and have a really complex background, but they've already had two events together.
Or Neuvillette and Wrio? It's true that they're basically coworkers, but I don't think Barbara and Jean even get that dynamic as far as I remember. Or Amber with a descendant of an oppressive aristocracy?
If a drunken bard who looks a lot like the statue of Barbatos, a creation of one of the sinners, the daughter of that sinner's friend, and the creation of another of that sinner's colleagues can walk into a tavern as if they're trying to make a joke, then the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights and the Deaconess could talk to each other for five minutes.
The last part was more of a joke, since most people don't know this from the story, but I think you get the point.

I'm a little confused since the Knights of Favonius and the Church of Favonius both work for Mondstandt, so wouldn't they be colleagues? And I thought Barbara's father had gone on the expedition with Varka at some point, so...
Is it so strange that I find Mondstandt too small and simple for anyone to interact with anyone else? The Traveler is a visitor from another world and is making friends with everyone as if it were nothing.
It's Liyue that seems to have introduced the more complex concept of social class. Mondstandt gives the impression that anyone just need to cross the city's only square and talk to anyone, while Liyue has more complex dynamics between the characters.

>Frederica, their mother, is dead in the end
Did I miss something? Because the last update I remember getting about Jean's mom is she had been sent to Dornman Port ahead of the rest of Varka's expedition and likely been promoted to captain of the 7th Company, and it'd be really sudden for them to have killed her off off-screen after five years of foreshadowing meeting her.

About a year ago, a concept art leak surfaced showing him carrying two pistols as bayonets.
