Is the Dottore Fandom the calmest Fanbase?
I mean, in my personal experience (and opinion) it seems like this man's fans are the chillest that come. Sure there are simps and all but what fanbase doesn't have them?
They are also completely fine with the hate. They just don't pay it any attention. 'Oh, Dottore was made to be hated :D' they say with a smile on their faces. Majority of them also tend to be lore-readers so you will find no misinformation among their groups.
And they seem to just not care who Dottore is shipped with (unless its like a kid) You want mc X Dottore? Fine. Pantalone X Dottore? Go for it. Ace Dottore? Great.
And, I digress, but the Dottore Fandom could become defense attorney at this rate. All the defending they have to do for all the false accusations spreading around about him is insane.
Example- 'No Dottore didn't assault Collei or Wanderer. He doesn't even know Collei! And no, he wouldn't experiment on you for existing.'
I have always frequented their community there as well and all I see is them sharing art, lore stuff or random discussions and theories of what is to come.
And they don't even defend Dottore's Actions. 'Like sure, he's the bad guy. That's why we like him. He is a proper villain and we like that, in fact, we need MORE of that!' is the overall vibe.
And even though they receive death threats (which is incredibly stupid and dead-brained) they will just block the user and go about their day or laugh it off.
I have never even seen any particular Drama in their fanbase like....ever.

As someone who likes Dottore's characterization, I just recognize that there's no chance he'll be playable without a re-introduction. So there's really no point in being disappointed or frustrated about it, we know what game we're playing, and we're playing it willingly. The hate, on the other hand, is inevitable as most people see the world as black and white without bothering with nuances, and I have better things to do than changing people's entire worldviews.
I've literally seen only TREE toxic Dottore fans. The rest are just people who want to have fun and play as their favorite character just like everyone else are allowed to.
Second, both Dottoremains and FatuiHQ exist. The toxicity of the fanboys on Reddit is at least well documented.
As for the second one? Well, i dont frequent that one.
And the point for scouring the internet for proof, why would I do that for a reddit post? I said it was an observation and I framed the title as a question. Im just asking. You could have just said 'no' like the earlier commenter and gone...
No matter how much denial you live in, the rest of us can see the truth.
So, i just went on like a short search session on platforms i frequent to search dottore fandom drama, dottore drama or controversy, Genshin Dottore problem- and got....memes. I went to pinterest and wrote the same stuff and all i got was fanart and someone saying the same as me- that this particular fandom was chill and gets the trophy.
I even went to google and all the drama it pointed out was the harrasment dottore fans receive imo. Im not even lying, you can just check your search engine tbh.
But if it happened in like Twitter or Tiktok- idek
Dottore is just pure evil and unredeemable. Shame he's not a 'Sinner' even though he probably ticks all 7 boxes of sins.

Also his English VA is amazing. He gives me a very "Wesker" vibe from Resident Evil. So really, I can't hate the man's voice but his actions..? Hooboy.
