Should I pull for columbina? I'm a Beginner player

Should I pull for her right now? I've only started playing the game like a few days ago, (doing the monstadt archon quest) she looks really pretty so I'm tempted to pull her but idk if she's useful to me right now.

Also beginner tips are appreciated, I'm kinda lost right now there is so much going on haha

If you like and understand what she does, the teams she makes and the teammates required then yes. If you don't know, don't.

If you just play for the story it doesn't matter who you pick at all.

If you like her, then sure. I would generally recommend rolling on DPS characters first as a new player. It will give you something to build a team around and will likely make your early game more fun.

Columbina is a Lunar support. She wants to be paired with other Lunar characters. Go look at Flins, Nefer, and Zibai and see if you like any of them. They're the DPS for her teams. She also has great synergy with Ineffa, the other character on banner right now. Arguably, Ineffa is a more valuable pull than Bina, especially a Bina without Ineffa.

Neuvillette is getting a rerun on the second half, and I believe he's one of, if not the most valuable pull for a new player. My personal recommendation.

It's my personal recommendation. I think Mavuika's gameplay is absolutely horrible, I would never recommend her.

Remember, this would be this person's literal first five star. Neuvillette is incredibly versatile. He can be played in teams for any of the Hydro reactions or hypercarry. He has the best AOE of any character. He's easy to play, easy to build, tanky af. He has a great synergy with one of the best general supports without a reliance on her.

I was mostly just curious about the choice since I find pyro element based teams easier to work with personally, I know hes strong and easy to use properly. Also Mauvika makes map exploration so much better being able to zip up mountains etc.

True, she does have good exploration abilities. I would definitely recommend Chasca for new players just for the fun factor.

I'm not super versed on Mavuika teams, but I'm going to assume melt is by far her best team. Specifically with Citlali. I wanted to avoid recommending a character who really wants another 5 star.

As someone without Furina, I very much feel that I can recommend Neuvillette for that reason. And I think the nearly universal supporting capabilities of Furina still makes her a valuable pull for a new player, despite Neuvillette.

Hi! Returning player here was AR 19 before I quit, (now ar 22) mostly logged in for free pulls. Just came back after juggling other gachas.

I have Columbina, Neuvillette, Mavuika, Raiden, and Zhongli (5 five stars total). What teams should I focus on for early game? And what’s the best progression focus after a long break? Glad to be back!
Other 5 gachas got to stale XD

Ineffa is very good for Bina and Neuvillette. Citlali for Mavuika. As I said to op, look into the Lunar DPS options for Columbina's team. Flins is my recommendation. He also really wants Ineffa. She's arguably the most valuable pull currently.

Progression is just exploration and Archon quests. Exploration will give you the most Primogems.

You'll probably want to focus on investing in your main DPS characters (Mavuika and Neuvillette). Artifacts won't be worth farming until the last level of domains. It's been years since I've been in the early game. There's returning player guides on YT, which I'm sure will be better advice than what I can give.

She is a great character. You should pull her. Also she works great with the one coming out next. Also there will be 4\* Illuga in the next banner. So you put barbara in that team and you have good team ready

She will be kinda useless in ur account unless u have at least one Nod-krai character or Zi Bai...I'd suggest instead go for Ineffa she is a very good sub-DPS that works everywhere as long as u do hydro related reactions, Infact she is broken🤣...

She will be part of lunar reaction teams for long time. She wont be so effective by herself but still she will be superior DPS than Fontaine DPSes.

If you are planning to pull Flins or Nefer/Lauma later since those teams are almost top 3 best dpswise pulling Columbina would be smart. If you are planning to get Flins dont forget to get Ineffa as well because she might not come for long time.(Worth to grind since you have so much exploration stuff.)

In my opinion getting one proper Lunar Team should be good and enough for you. In the end choice is yours anyway.

Save your Primos for something guaranteed, if you just started you'll be more than fine with the starting 4 for a while .

Save, save , save , beginners have to learn how to save is my biggest tip and not pull every time they get enough for a single or 10 pull

If you like her, sure!
As a new player, you can use her off-field with Lisa, Noelle, Geo Traveler... and on-field with Dendro Traveler. The 4 stars on her banner can also be used with her pretty well: Sethos is an on-field dps, Ifa an on-field driver (mostly), Fischl is an amazing off-field dps, one of the best 4* in the game.

She's more of a support for lunar reactions but she enables them herself so she buffs herself too, it might be good enough for early game and you can always pull a lunar dps later on.

Collecting her materials is not a problem as there will be a teleport already unlocked in the areas you need BUT it will affect the continuity of your experience (if you don't care too much about it, it's not a big deal, really), just keep that in mind and after all it will be the same for every character you pull that is from a region you haven't visited yet.
