Beidou is more of an off fielder than an on field character like Keqing, just use both if you want to

Don't be afraid beidou can stillbe used maybe for a 2nd team, there are times where you may need two teams eg. Spiral abyss so beidou could still be used. She basically carried me untill I got raiden shogun

There are pretty good guides in game about what artefacts and what talents to upgrade first.

But a basic overview from what I've seen on other players

Weapon: (4 star) lions roar, her signature weapon good hydro/pyro damage buff

(Crafted 4 star) iron sting (easy early game weapon)

(Crafted 4 star) Amenoma Kageuchi (made in inazuma with a northerner sword billet, and must do a quest to unlock recipe)

Or (3 star) sky rider sword untill you get something better

Artifacts: 4 set of thundering fury - good for Electro elemental reactions
Or
any 2 thundering fury + any 2 gladiators finale
This will give her + 15% Electro dmg and + 18% ATK


I hear alot of people use dendro as part of her teams, if you have access to a dendro character I guess chuck them on.

Otherwise I love using pyro and hydro characters with my Electro mains.

Happily, you do not have to replace Beidou! Bedouin can be played off-field while Keqing is on-field. For Keqing, you should probably build a dendro character to go with her.

You don't have to use a 5\* simply because of the fact that you pulled them. This isn't a game where "5\* > 4\*" unconditionally.

At that AR you are better off utilizing a transformative reaction oriented team with a max level unit with some elemental mastery triggering the reaction. Ie. Lisa and overload, or Anemo MC and swirl.

Keqing doesn't replace Beidou just because both are electro. They have different utilities, and Keqing wants on-field time while Beidou is just skill + burst oriented.

Yay! Congrats. Respectfully, ignore everyone here telling you how to play the game. At this phase, play whatever team you want, with whatever gear you want, and have fun with it. Trust me, there’s a lot of time later for upgrades, team comps, etc.

Keqing was my first 5* too and I have so many fond memories of running around and exploring with her.

Keqing was my first 5*, too! I was actually wishing on the standard banner hoping to get her specifically after trying her during an event, so I was really excited when I got her. I swear Genshin RNG loves me. I don't play very strategically, so I'm not necessarily the best example, but I still main Keqing because I just enjoy using her. Her Elemental Skill can be useful for exploration, too, because it allows her to teleport over small gaps or into the air higher than she can jump.

I'm just here thinking how much time it'll take for you to get disappointed in how weak and shit keqing is.

why do you feel you have to use keqing? you will get hundreds of pulls through the course of the game. hundreds. just keep playing! who were you pulling for? the current banner still has plenty of time to keep pulling and now the next 5* you pull has a higher chance of being the one you want

Keqing is fun to play and by holding down her skill you can use her to reach high places more easily. That said, she's fallen behind as damage dealers go, and is one of the weakest 5-star damage dealers in the game.

For a new player, though, she'll be plenty useful until you get something better. She works best with a Dendro element partner. If you don't have one, you can use the Traveler - just touch any statue in Sumeru and Traveler will gain the Dendro element to use.

When you combine Dendro and Electro on an enemy, the enemy gets a Catalyze debuff. Catalyze does nothing on its own, but when you hit a Catalyzed enemy with Dendro or Electro damage, Spread or Aggravate is triggered, causing the enemy to take extra damage. For Keqing, having her attacks boosted by Aggravate greatly improves the damage that she deals.

Keqing was also my first five star and my main DPS for a while, I still love her. You can use her as an aggravate DPS if you have any dendro off-fielders. You can pick up Yaoyao in the upcoming free four star selector from lantern rite if you don't. The best part about Keqing is her low burst cost so if you put enough ER on her you can spam it it's so fun.
