im a returning player and seeking advice for team comps because i dont have any newer characters apart from varesa and emilie. i tried some teams but i cant pass it within the time limit
From the looks of it you don’t really have any characters which hugely benefit from the abyss buffs. For the first side I’d just run whatever your highest damage team is and for the second side bring an electro and hydro character because you will need electro-charge for one of the bosses.

You can run any high DMG team for First Half, the main thing is you will need a healer for Chamber 3 due to the mechanic of the Radiant Beasts. So a team that can utilize either Kokomi, Xianyun, Jean, Barbara, Bennet or Cheveruese.
Xianyun is a really important unit on your account as she enables you to play Hu Tao or Diluc plunge, while also being the best support for Xiao and Varesa.
Xiao is weak without C6 Faruzan, and since your Faruzan is currently lvl20, so Xiao or Hexerei Venti teams are out.
Ganyu Melt is a better team over Freeze. Freeze would be stronger if you had Escoffier as a support. You can try a Ganyu, Bennett, Xiangling, Zhongli team.
Varesa is one of your stronger units for sure. Since Xianyun is currently under leveled, you can run Varesa overload with Varesa, Iansan, Xiangling, Cheveruese. I assume this is a team you were already using as the characters are leveled.
For Second Half, you need the Electro-Charge reaction especially for the Ducky boss in Chamber 3. Your best 2 characters here are Mona + Fischl due to the Hexerei buffs. The reaction will want an Anemo unit so either Kazuha or Sucrose will work. To really get DMG from second half, you need to invest into EM and since you don't have the Lunar-Charge characters, you'll have to be precise on the High EM character applying the Electro-Charge reaction, otherwise there's no real DMG.
Ifa or Mizuki can work as Anemo On-field drivers for Electro-Charge.
There's no real team that can utilize Emilie's burn, but if she is well built she can do very strong off-field DMG as long as someone else is holding 4pc Deepwood. (Xiangling can hold Deepwood with some high energy stats to support Emilie + Dendro On-Field, mainly Kinich)
Itto, Raiden, Yoimiya and Childe are not that strong enough at the moment. I don't know if you have Cons on them but don't focus on them yet. Unless you believe they're built enough, you can try running them.

Xiao is a hypercarry character meaning the 3 other characters are looking to buff him, his best team is Xiao, Furina, Xianyun, Faruzan C6. You're missing just one piece and Furina is always a great character to have so you could look forward to getting her.
Still, if you plan on trying Xiao, I still recommend to use Faruzan on the team (she will need ~250 ER) and she has Anemo Shred built in her kit (unlike Jean who has it on her C4). You can replace Furina with C5 Bennet, C6 Bennet Infusion screws up Xiao (as an older played I assume you were told this). Good luck ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
