Columbina or Neuvillette?

Hi all!!

I'll make it short: I really like Columbina, but I heard that Neuvillette is one of the best DPS.

These are the characters I have, I started playing a week ago. I already lost a 50/50, so I'll get the banner character the next time.

Should I get Columbina, or wait for Neuvillette?

I really like Columbina, but I feel like I miss a real DPS in my team (Currently Kaeya, Dehya, Sucrose, Jean).

Since you are a new account, you will have enough primos to guarantee 2 limited 5\* characters just by doing permanent content if you play at a decent pace.

Columbina really elevates a roster if there is another lunar unit. Right now this is Ineffa, and on next banner it will be Zibai, but there are also Nefer & Flins (and probably new ones to come).

Ineffa on the other hand is good as a standalone unit and is also an excellent teammate for Neuv.

So you have multiple options: Bina + Ineffa, Bina + Neuv (and look out for a lunar character), Bina + Zibai, Ineffa + Neuv

I wouldn't recommend skipping this banner entirely.

With the characters I have now tho if I pull Bina, I'll just leave her in the dust until I get another decent character, right?

Not "decent" character but specifically a character with a moonwheel, which would be Ineffa, Zibai, Nefer, Flins, Lauma.

Neuvillette is no longer the king but he’s still an incredible character. Especially for new accounts, he will carry your account until the end and beyond. He doesn’t even need a team, give him 3 random bozos and he’s good to go.

Columbina is amazing but she won’t impact your performances until you get more (preferable Nod Krai) dps characters.

Just get Columbina. Neuvilllet is no longer top tier. He's outdated now. If you are able to get Ineffa then you can pretty much make any character viable with those two in the team. You also have the option to go for Flins in the next patch in his rerun (most likely). Then you would have one of the current top 3 meta teams.

Even if you can't get Ineffa, you'll still be able to get Zibai in the next banner. Columbina and Zibai will also pair up nicely.

Even though Neuvilllet can still clear end game content, you'll definitely have to somewhat struggle. With Columbina and another Nodkrai support/dps you won't have to struggle.
