Help I can't beat the stupid Stygian Onslaught crab
I'm on Fearless. The other two bosses were easy, but something has to be wrong with my Neuvilette cause I just can NOT kill this crab no matter how many times I've tried. My normal Neuvilette team (Neuvi, Furina, Kazuha, and Xilonen) struggled with clearing Menacing, so I switched Kazuha out with Citlali before attempting Fearless for the first time. But it doesn't work. I tried switching back to Kazuha, but he doesn't work either. I've switched out artifacts (they've stolen so many artifacts from my other characters everything is in disarray), weapons, party members, but nothing works. I get close, but not close enough. I've only ever almost killed it twice with Citlali, but I have no idea what I did it those attempts that made them different from the rest.
This is the only Stygian Onslaught I've come close to clearing on Fearless before. Literally the only thing in the way is this stupid crab. I can't just give up because of some boss from over 2 year ago. It's driving me mad. What is wrong with my characters????

Your Crit Value is also too low. You should have with so much Crit DMG more like between 60-75% Crit Rate, what would be possible, if your Head Gear and Sand Clock both would provide you Crit Rate %, instead of wasting the slots with stats like Flat DEF or DEF% there, so that your DPS reaches its full potential more than only basically every second hit, if you are lucky. Neuvilette doesnt need that much ER% from the Weapon,, just enough to ensure, you can use the Burst every now and then as a time filler to procude blue balls for when you need them to do a Charge Attack, when you have to wait on your E's cooldown, so that you can create with your E new blue balls, in order to stay under a constant supply of blue balls , so that you can always use your Charge Attack by either using every now and then a Burst, or your E skill to keep enough blue balls coming and waiting for you to get absorbed for your Charge Attack, so that you are always able to use one of your Skills, before doing the next Charge Attack.
Neuvilette is basically a Glass Cannon, which needs only high Crit Values, HP for Damage. and enough ER% to keep the blue balls coming on demand with a Burst, with Hydro Resonance/Energy Battery in mind, otherwise use Character like Raiden/Dori to help you out with that , instead of wasting ER% on Neuvilette, that should go rather into Crit Rate, Crit DMG or HP%. A Character with so much HP like Neuvilette needs no DEF, when everything this Character exists for is dishing out massively amounts of damage only in a short amount of time and being literally a damage sponge by taken damage with his big HP, not with his DEF. DEF won't help you to beat the crab faster logically, HP and better Crit Rate however will do.
Higher ER is only important, if you want to solo with Neuvilette and you have no second Hydro Character in the party that will work for you as Energy Battery and Hydro Resonance Access for Neuvilette having significantly more HP that way, which in return makes all of his attacks stronger.
Try out a Team like Neuvilette, Furina, Lauma/Nahida, Nefer/Nahida, if you can naturally. Should help you also, plus Bloom DMG is another nice indirect damage source, which when boosted up by Lauma, hits hard like a truck, and Nefer also kicks insanely strong. So doing a change from a singular Main DPS Source, to a Duo Main DPS-Team, where you can switch back and forth between two synergetic high DPS-Sources, so that you aren't reliant on only Neuvilette dealing all of the damage, while the others just are there for support only, but do otherwise only very negible damage, compared to Neuvilette. Going with that team build raises also your Team EM, which can help with Neuvilettes Vaporizes, so that they deal also more damage, as your Neuv doesn't have naturally by himself alot EM, due to having to focus all on Crit Values, HP and ER%, that there is no real room anymore to get also high EM, so Dendro Resonance is a nice little help with that.
He's only using Waveriding Whirl for the HP buffs, since he was using The Width before. Figured leveling it up won't really matter, since he doesn't scale off ATK and the ER% isn't really important for him. Is there a better replacement for Sacrificial Jade, is there anything else that could be used?
Trying to get better artifacts, but my luck is awful and I get the world's worst substat rolls, AND I'm trying to get better artifacts for everyone else at the same time. Should I just focus on getting him better artifacts?
Putting Nefer, Lauma, or Nahida on his team isn't really an option, since they're on the team for clearing the purple Abyss thing.
In case of alternative weapon options for Neuvilette, there was that free Event Catalyst which raises also HP% and deals like every 15s damage based on the wielders max HP, that natlan themed horn thing (use this currently on my close to 53k HP Columbina :D) that thing deals some nice extra damage when switching in your character :D Thats definetely at least better than then Waveriding Whirl :D and if you played actively, when we got it, it should be lvl 90 R5 for you at best.
If neither Lauma, nor Nefer are an optiion for you ,because they are fightign the Dog.
How about a Freeze Team then, using Neuvilette, Furina, Escoffier and Ayaka/Skirk??, because Cryo resonance ups also your Team Crit Rate by 15%, which is exactly what your Neuvilette needs now, more Crit Rate to make more optimal usage of his high Crit DMG for at best as much of all of his hits to sustain a better overall DPS with him. That would up your Crit Rate from 53% to 68%, right into the area where you need to be. Plus with Ayaka/Skirk you also have two very strong Duo DPS Team Options, especially if you have C2 Ayaka, as the crab is huge, her additional 2 Cryo Balls will hit it to for the additional 40% more DPS. and her Burst hits also fast, that together with Escoffiers constant Cryo Hits on top is very good and helpful constant AFK DPS support
Cryo Resonance together with giving Neuvillete the Widsith is even better, given that you get that way even much more Crit DMG on a much better overall Crit Rate, even if its ATK Buff isnt very helpful, but its EM Buff is helpful and its Elemental DMG Buff is very helpful too... sure, its the weapon that feels likel playing with RNGgeesus, so you need probably some tries, till you have the luck to get the right buff from it, but with Cryo Resonance active, its worth trying that out, when you have therefor then also far over 200% Crit DMG% with nearly 70% Crit Rate then, instead of only 53%
Farming Artefacts now is too time consuming, sure, if you would be a whale player, you could do that now, but if you would be one, you wouldn't have the problem with this fight now to begin with xD ;) Working on improving the Artefacts is somethign for you to do, after this SO.
I don't have Escoffier or Ayaka, and I lost my Skirk 50/50 for Dehya. I intend to get Skirk if she really does rerun next version (as long as Varka doesn't take all my money) since Hoyo just loves making things that want me to use Freeze.
