every time stygian onslaught comes, for the first 10 days, you can farm any set in there. for every 120 resin, you get an additional drop, which makes it more efficient. this can be done even after you get 1200 prestige to collect the dust thing.
tldr: only farm stygian onslaught for the first 10 days after it comes out for resin min-maxing

The rewards for spending resin are the same for any difficulty you do if I’m not mistaken. So you can do hard mode and clear the second boss within 20seconds.
