Why are billets so hard to get

I would like extra prototype ambers because i only have 2 of them r3 being used by neuvi and baizhu. i rarely go to the domains that give them and when i do they never drop. its not worth it to farm them rn cause im trying to make my characters better

Well they’re a rarer drop and you’re rarely doing the bosses that drop them. If you want more billets you need to increase your chances of them dropping by doing the bosses consistently.

Yes, even I realised this quite late, even doing your weekly bosses is enough IMO.

You can convert midlander to northlander and such so long as it’s the same weapon type iirc.

You only did weekly bosses when you need them. That's why.

If you spare 60/90 resin to do 3 or even 2 of them every week, you shouldn't be on this situation.

As 1.0 day-1 player who regularly do 3 bosses per week (dropped to 2 sometimes during Fontaine, as I don't level more characters during that time),

The billets I have on my bags are:
- 19 northlander
- 43 midlander
- 10 borderland

And those haven't counted the ones I already use for:

- 1 R4 Prototype crescent
- 1 R5 Hakushin Ring
- 1 R5 Mappa Mare
- 1 R5 Prototype Amber
- 1 R5 Footprint of the Rainbow
- 1 R5 Kirain Cross Spear
- 1 R5 Whiteblind
- 1 R5 Sapwood Blade
- 1 R5 Fruit of Fulfillment
- 1 R5 Iron Sting
- 1 R5 Crescent Pike

I know they can be rare for some folks, but your case is either an extreme extreme case or you just don't do them as often as you thought you were

I also do bosses every week because I pay battle pass so I don't want to risk to not getting to level 50. I always do all the weekly missions except for the card game ones. I just have extremely bad luck

It's kinda backwards how hard these are to get at the start versus how easy they are once you've played for awhile and no longer need them.

I remember farming every weekly boss every week trying to get these things when I started. Now I have stacks of each one, plus several of those caches that let you chose which one you want just sitting in my inventory.
