My cat died 3 months ago.

It was a very sudden loss, we had spent 4 years together. On the morning I found out she had died, I logged into Genshin and saw this next to Katheryne.
I had never come across this before (or maybe I just hadn’t noticed). I was so emotional that this little pixel cat stayed by my side for a while.
I never saw that cat again in the game. :')

I have a dog who is quite in age already, I honestly dont know her exact age(I take care of her for about 12 years now but back then she was already grown) but it already became quite apperant how few things she still likes to do, the only thing she still does do is when leaving the house she would do a short dash with me until we have to cross the street, after that its just normal walking speed, she barely likes to play anything, she doesnt interact with other dogs anymore(When another dog approaches her tail would instantly go down), overall she became so much slower in everything

Usally I went for two walks a day but now when I go for the second one she would literally just not move and stare into random direction for a while so its just one walk aday now

Kinda scary to think about how little time could be left for her

This. I have two cats both older than that, and my first cat lived to 25 (still not even close to the limits of cat lifespan).

Don't get me wrong, cats will die much sooner than that in a lot of cases, but that's not really a lifespan thing. Just take care of them as well as you can.

I believe the longest confirmed age on a cat goes to [Creme Puff](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creme_Puff_(cat)), who died at age 39. It's pretty rare for cats to live into their 20's though.

My cat's 16. Years ago, he was diagnosed with irritable bowel disorder, and it was predicted that his lifespan would be shortened as a result. Thankfully, he's still doing well; I wasn't expecting him to last as long as he has, and he still seems healthy!

Traumatizing story time!

>!I was visiting her for a week at the time and the cat just came to me, behaving weirdly, soon he started gasping for air, so I thought he might be chocking. The nearest vet clinic was closed, the big cities were 30-50km away and the 24h working clinics weren't picking up the phone. I tried giving it water, patting him on the back, doing the first aid I found online, went for my uncle and cousin and we all tried what we could to save him, squeezes around belly/rib cage, little picking up by belly and letting him fall on paws, he was spitting, but still couldn't get out whatever was blocking his airways. Then he lied on the ground as we stood hopeless in circle and he gave up, fuming from the mouth. I spent the rest of the night cheering up my crying gradma next door, as she was sick and unaware of what happened minutes before. I was the one who had to tell her as well. We made him a funeral when he was stiff, so we knew that's it. A week before my very old dog died, christmas morning, but I wasn't there. Both lived happy lives tho, so glad their suffering is over at least!<

Anyway, it's kind of beautiful seing genshin cat so similiar at a time like this. Stay strong 💪❤️

I understand how u feel. I was devastated when my dog of 12 years suddenly died from an accident, and when I logged in to Mondstadt I saw this dog that looked so much like mine hanging out at the crafting table. I cried all over again and tried putting it at my teapot but it won't let me capture it. So I found another one from somewhere else and kept it running around the teapot. At least she's happy there 🥲

The same thing happened to me after my orange girl passed away. I'd see the orange cats in the game and get emotional sometimes. I put one in my teapot.

This was years ago and I've healed, but it was cathartic at the time to remember her like that.
