Let’s have a convo, what’s types of ships you like :)

What’s your fave type of ship? What genre? Do you prefer gl/bl or het? If so why? What’s your favourite and lest favourite? What’s your fave rare-pair, explain why you like that.

\*\*DISCLAIMER!!\*\* (because I KNOW those people are here) , if you can’t handle an opinion gtfo of here, I won’t tolerate people who think just because you prefer straight ships over gay ones you’re suddenly a homophobic MAGA, I don’t tolerate just because you prefer gay over straight you’re suddenly a fetishizer. And I DO NOT tolerate just because you prefer bl over gl you’re suddenly male-centred. Like get the FUCK out with your disrespect and low media literacy comprehension)

Wrio's ship when the flood came.

babangelsin2026-01-25 15:27

USS Nimitz is iconic as far as capital ships go, but have to also mention Santa Ana as one of my historical favourites

Silent_Ad26852026-01-25 15:28

You asked about ships!

BoughKeeper2026-01-25 15:34

fr, Santa Ana lowkey underrated

siegheldr2026-01-25 15:31

i'm aro/ace, i see every interaction as friendly at its core and that's it. and sincerely, it's how hoyo likes to portray it, they sprinkle very few romantic subtexts (emphasis on few) on the lore. and the fanbase goes rabid over it. the sanbina/aetherbina stuff is a good example. until it comes the day (it won't come) where a genshin gacha character is introduced as having a actual relationship with someone else, every ship is null and void in the eyes of canon. a good example of how that could work is simply taking a look at F/GO, there's dozens of married couples in that game and they're playable.

BoughKeeper2026-01-25 15:36

fr, there will never be even a remotely good romance in a gaccha game like this

JAntaresN2026-01-25 15:35

HMS Dreadnought. Set the new meta for a while.

Wizley152026-01-25 15:40

No mention of the Edmund Fitzgerald? As Gordon Lightfoot once said, “ The ship was the pride of the American side
Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin
As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most
With a crew and good captain well seasoned”

jademarlodotcom2026-01-25 15:40

I really like The Jackdaw from Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. A close second would be The Morrigan, from AC Rogue.

Those are the ships that I llike.

SynergousSerenade2026-01-25 15:42

Mitobooru

I will never forget

iorveth12712026-01-25 17:13

Putting a disclaimer longer than the actual question in your is one way to start a fruitful conversation...

Anyway, the Amerigo Vespucci is a beautiful ship.

So's Venlumi and Aelali.

Silent_Ad26852026-01-25 17:15

Gotta make it clear for those who can’t comprehend an opinion, because one sentence isn’t enough apparently

Neospanner2026-01-25 20:26

Have you run into that problem here, on Reddit? Most folks on this forum don't care about shipping at all (hence the many boat responses). The few who do care are highly unlikely to take offense at other people's ships.

This isn't Twitter.

Silent_Ad26852026-01-25 20:30

Yes, I actually have lol. I was discussing the problems with with shipping in the fandom and they ALL took it the wrong way and accused me of being a homophobic MAGA hoe 😭

Neospanner2026-01-25 20:34

Strange; I'm terminally online here in r/Genshin_Impact and rarely miss a post. I don't think I've seen anyone EVER go ballistic over a straight ship here. Rarely, I see someone "ew" a gay ship, but such individuals are usually quickly downvoted.

Was it a different subreddit where this happened?

Shahadem2026-01-25 21:01

Space Battleship Yamamoto.

Beginning-Tension-242026-01-25 21:41

The Dreadnaught that Oryx used to effectively cause multiple extinction events.

Lucky-Oven54672026-01-25 22:00

Normally I like my straight ships, but I do like some Pride centered ships. I'm just super picky. I also like just friendly nonromantic ships too. Depends on my mood, really. But my top 3 favorites right now are Xiaolumi, Chilumi, and CynoNari.

Silent_Ad26852026-01-25 22:46

Finally a normal answer
