Predictions for addon's to existing regions?

Because I can't imagine they will leave it looking this ridiculous forever.

I think we will get an additional Natlan region, when >!the pyro gnosis is retrieved!<

At least one more nod krai region, hopefully on the east or west side

Hopefully 2-3 more mondstadt regions all across the north area to connect to Chenyu Vale

1-2 more fontaine regions, 1 to connect to Nod Krai and 1 to connect to Sumeru

The second image shows my predictions better, I think sneznaya will take up the entire space on the north west, the question marks are potential that I don't think they will take advantage of, in favor of >!going back to the moon!<

they have to add all of the already existing regions we know about such as dornman port and blackcliff forge so my prediction is:

in nod krai patch (6.x) we will get another nod krai expansion to the northeast to connect it with both snehznaya and the future fontaine expansion. i also expected dornman port in 6.4 but idk if we will get it so i expect mare jivari to be last region of natlan. releasing some time around 6.6

hear me out. i think we will get to snezhnaya from dornman port. so either it will get released like the last natlan summer island in 6.8 or in 7.0 along with snezhnaya. and that will be the final region of Mondstad.

just like they released chenyu vale in 4.4, i think they will release blackcliff forge in 7.3 when the next lantern rite comes. and that will be the final area of liyue.

also fontaine expansion, esus mountain expansion will problaby be later in 7.x this area has no lore whatsoever so im not sure about that.

most importantly, i think they will fill up the holes in the map like between sumeru and natlan. it will problaby mostly be empty areas and water.. a lot of water. but before we get to khanrei'ah and endgame, they have to fix the map. i think some point in 7.x we will get a "filler" update which fills the holes in the map.

also i think the regions will get smaller and smaller in size as the time goes on. they already releasing smaller areas and considering we have a lot of missing regions, i wont be suprised if all of the areas will be like nod krai from now on. either way, im expecting a lot of water in snezhnaya. becauset needs to cover the whole north side of the map, from Mondstad dornman port to nod krai. so it would take a lot of time to do that.

ME TOO! sumeru desert is legit my favorite region because of how culturally unique, vast and enormous it is. we need more geographically unqiue locations in genshin. imagine the same thing but with endless taigas and snowy tundras.. given how they handled map expansions in natlan and nod krai i would not get my hopes up but who knows maybe they will pull a sumeru 2 next year..

Well, as far as Nod Krai is concerned it’s not a prediction. It’s a guarantee.

Anyways, we won’t be getting a ton of expansions.

The game doesn't >!end with 7.0 and it's not becoming a Genshin 2. If this wasn't already obvious, the same leaker clarified that the chapter is ending so it doesn't change anything.!<

I should have been more clear because the game will still be the same game however it would be considered Genshin 2 at this point. It’s not Genshin 2 yet. It’s nearing its end.

I just want them to fix the dumb tunnel to Natlan/Nod Krai from Sumeru. As someone who loves exploring it just irks me. Even if it is devoid land with a couple mints and the ocean... I'll take it. The little delta between Natlan and desert is actually really cool wish we could explore it more.

Hopefully they put another island east of Nod Krai, but I don't feel we will get much more than that. Just enough to get oculus I'm sure.

Hope when they add Dorman Port they fix the weird parts of Mondstadt by Chenyu Vail.

I agree it looks absurd right now. They've taken a approach of separating all the new regions. I miss when it actually felt like a continent and not cut off from the rest.

Note that according to dialogue, Shnezhnaya is north of Nod-Krai, since Childe came from the north to relay the Tsaritsa's message and had to go around Dottore's research lab because of the giant bubble.

We also know we're gonna go to Dornman port next because Liben teased it. The guy teases the next area we're gonna go to whenever he appears. It's why when he appeared in Natlan for example he kept talking about the moon, then bam this patch appears and Traveler goes to the moon.

West seems more likely than east to me, during Act 7 Childe complains about Dottore's lab blocking the normal route between Nod-Krai and Snezhnaya. And nobody brought up Fontaine as a possible evacuation point alongside Natlan and Snezhnaya, not even Arlecchino, so there probably isn't more NK closer to it.

In order of when I think they'll be playable
1.) Dornman Port, north of Mondstadt. I guess in 6.5 it'll be playable
2.) Hyperborea, north or north west of Nod-Krai. Either 6.6 or 6.7
3.) Mare Jivari proper, either 6.7 or sometime in mid 7.x
4.) Sneznahya mainland, 7.0
5.) Black Cliffs, south of Liyue Harbor, probably 7.3 or 7.4 for CNY
6.) Mount Esus West, probably mid-late 7.x
7.) Dandelion Sea, assuming it's a different area from Dornman Port. Late 7.x

I don't think there's any Inazuma or Sumeru expansions, and if there is they wont have any loot or anything, just filler locations for map's sake

They probably will fill in the narrow entrance to Natlan as well one of these days...

There's one last landmark at the chessboard, and it's a giant floating pyramid that's west of everything. I say it's an automated ship patrolling the coast.

Jhet recruits us to shut it down so her tribe can settle the coast.

I think the next 4 map expansions need to just be more vertical expansion of the NK area. I want the most southern part of Natlan to the highest tip of Snezhoweveryouspellit to be 3x longer than the horizontal length of the map.

Personally, I prefer a more limited but content-dense map to an unnecessarily sprawling one. I don’t need them to add areas to the map that aren’t interesting or unique just to fill in blanks. Most players use teleport waypoints, so there’s no real need to fill-in areas just for the sake of traversal.
