Whats going on with the spaceship and/or wings?
In nod Krai there was mention of a spaceship, traveler said it was theirs. The marrow let us see the past and saw the ship crashing. We found the ship on the moon, the flight logs and outfits confirm it as traveler's.
At the start of the game we have to scene where aether and lumime are fighting the unknown god. Every mention(I'm aware of) is something like "we were visiting teyvat, but when we were finally going to leave we got stopped by an unknown god" if they were leaving, why were they flying with wings not a spaceship, there was another scene showing them flying as 2 glowing things, if they came on one spaceship, why were 2 of them flying, if they came on a spaceship, why were they using wings with the unknown god?
I don't know if this is something I missed, a plot hole, or some other thing like they left their ship when the unknown god appeared or they were going to their ship when that happened.
What exactly happened there? did they use the ship? when did they use the ship? did they use their wings? is the ship actually theirs or a false memory? are there 2 ships?

They were fleeing Teyvat right after the Abyss twin found the Traveler still hybernated in the ship in Nod-Krai. After they got cubed by Asmoday, the Heavenly Principles tossed the ship on the moon
That makes sense, thank you.
My second comment is just a theory on how to make logical sense on what they tried to do.
So here’s what I’m thinking happened. I’ll do my best to explain it in razor terms. They arrived in a spaceship. Flying through space with no ship would be weird. They can fly, or could before Teyvat blocked their powers.
So ship landed in Teyvat 550-600 years ago bc to being summoned back by Khaenriahns. This summoning awoke abyss twin and since they came from the heavens, they were crowned prince. This same summoning was done using abyssal power and king at the time became obsessed with it and the what it contains. The sinners rise to power. With Khaenriah’s getting blown tf up, the abyss twin woke up the traveler and was like yo, I know you don’t know wtf is going on but we gotta get tf outta here. They attempt to leave but this is not no no no says careless HP. It hides itself on big moon. They say fuck it lets go get the ship or maybe they were gonna Willy nilly gonna just try and wing it but we’re stopped by Asmoday, cube boss. Nah bruh this is your home now, she says. She sends abyss twin and traveler to Paimon beach but with Time boss assistance, traveler gets sent 500 years into the future with empty brain. Traveler wakes up and is nature child for some months then the game begins.
One theory is that the Twins CAN fly through space without their spaceship. It's just more comfortable. Like, you can walk a thousand miles, but it's much faster and more comfortable to drive a car instead. The Twins spaceship was broken down, and they were in a hurry to leave, so they left it.
Another theory is that they tried to get to the spaceship but Asmoday, the Shade of Space, teleported them to Celestia in order to confront them.
Gacha games need to sell you characters.
To make characters seem unique, among many other things, they all need unique lore.
There's a lot of characters, ergo, gacha games need a ***TON*** of lore to keep up.
As a result, gacha lore is written to open up as many possibilities as possible, while avoiding cutting off possible branches as much as possible - it's why every Genshin region has some excuse as to why their magic system doesn't work outside of their region. That way, not only do they get to give a bunch of characters unique backstories, they also avoid constraining their future writing options i.e. they don't need to explain why the Primordial sea overflowing didn't cause a tsunami in all the countries bordering Fontaine, that shit only works in Fontaine.
The consequence of that is, when gacha games like Genshin drop lore, it's always in little isolated bits and pieces, that don't concretely fit together until that particular bit of lore gets brought front and center to be the main topic of a storyline, which is how misconceptions like "Natlan is going to be a scarred battlefield filled with dragons" happened.
Traveler's backstory just isn't at a point where it's center stage yet, so all you're going to get are scattered isolated hints that don't really mean anything until it's finally their turn.
