Am I cooked

For context I’m at Liyue right now and I was just looking at the map out of curiosity when I noticed that some teleport thing were unlocked in a far off part id never even been to. So naturally out of curiosity I teleported there and now it’s started some part of the story that I don’t even know what it is. Did I break the game will I have to restart?

It's just a world quest, keep going, nothing of the past quests gets spoiled here iirc.

Yea I turned into a dinosaur and then they let me teleport out so I guess I’ll just forget that happened

I sense a tone of disappointment..... Well glade we share same thoughts about Natlan.

Tho don't express your thoughts freely here or you will get witch hunted and burned at the stake of Natlan glazers.

You auto-started a world quest (not the main archon quest, just a larger side quest) in Natlan. This section you will meet a little Saurian (dinosaur) guy, but once you get through the intro and get back into the overworld just teleport back to Liyue and continue your questing as normal. You can ignore this quest until you make it through to Natlan if you are aiming to play in order.

I would be mindful about teleporting into areas that you haven't visited yet if you don't want to auto-start random quests. They won't break the game but it may break immersion to get introduced to a bunch of random quests and characters you haven't gotten to.

Is the teleport way point being unlocked already a glitch or is it supposed to be an area you can go to whenever you want.

They've activated a way point for new areas regularly since Fontaine

Oh, I’m new to the game I didn’t realize it worked like that. I guess I’ll avoid teleporting to random ones waypoints in the future.

It's not a glitch. Starting with Natlan's launch, they made it so newer players who had completed the Prologue (Mondstadt) could skip ahead to the 5.0 quest and region if they didn't want to be super behind everyone else and play the new quest at the same time. I believe they did the same for Nod Krai, the newest region. They put a teleport waypoint there so newer players didn't have to spend like 20 minutes trekking all the way across Liyue and Sumeru to get there.

Except for Inazuma (you must progress the archon quest to visit there), you are free to explore anywhere in the overworld in Genshin, regardless of if you have progressed there in the main archon quest. Some beginners early in the game travel to Sumeru just to resonate with the statue and unlock Dendro traveler so they can use a dendro element in their teams.

It's there for those who want to skip right to Natlan without going through the other regions.

There is one in Nod-krai aswell north of Natlan.

i remember for newbie players that if they have started the game and havent progresses the story yet, and went to places beyond liyue story line, npc would talk about someone being already dead when nothing happened yet.
