No matter the element, team role, or gameplay style. As soon as you saw them, it was an instant "I must get, no matter what"

Edit: To describe her, they both have white hair in roughly bob shape, red eyes, fire users, masculine clothing style, both are stoic and aloof, both even killed their corrupt parent. Only real difference is my character is more of a hero type. I find it super funny bc my own oc was completely unrelated to Genshin and I had her before the game even came out.
Not only is she drop dead gorgeous but her character writing, animations & playstyle is so fun.
As soon as I saw her I stopped any plans to pull for anyone but her. I saved every primo until she came around and got C2R3 (only R3 cuz I got lucky and I still wanted mistsplitter XD)
She deserves the world.
Xianyun from that brief glimpse we got at the "Lantern Rite but not really" event years ago before actually finding out who she was (I used to hate Cloud Retainer, almost skipped Shenhe because leaks originally said it was her).

Its this motivation I find lacking in many characters within the game, but hers is quite interesting. She has such a simple yet dynamic focus, (motherhood), that it allowed the writers to really craft a character we can all relate to in some form. And her intrinsic motivations are so clear, because she does what any good mother would do; defend and love her children.
Her hands-off yet doting parental style is so affectionate, and the way she interacts with Ganyu and Shenhe, but more importantly, the Traveller, shows us that her icy exterior is all just a facade of grandeur. Shes loving and it shows in all the actions she takes within the story!
She is the only charcater that I have ever taken to C6, and I knew as soon as the game started that when she released, I would crown this comically joyous character!

I have never seen a Jiangshi loli in a video game, ever. As soon as I saw her on the Genshin website, along with Xiangling and Chongyun, I know I'm getting a very different game to the mainstream norm,
At the time, I was looking for replacement to Dragon Nest, and I was getting very sick of realistic graphic shooters where you automatically hide behind a barricade, peak and shoot, and recover to full health from critical damage just by going back into hiding for 5 seconds
For playable, Clorinde.
She changed me man, she changed me.
I had "waifus" before her, but i never had any interest in women.
But ever since i discovered her, i get it. I get why people want date and mate and marry and hold hands and kiss and stuff.
I LOVE Hu Tao.
And I may have skipped Zhongli for Eula...
Still pulled her because she was too hot to skip.
A while before i started playing, my gf had been trying to get me into the game and i wasn’t really feeling any of the characters until she showed me him. I then stated “when he comes out, I will play the game and have the best capitano in the world. He will be so good i don’t need a team, i just show up and everything dies.”
Started playing when the game came to xbox (not willingly) and actually really liked the game and have found a ton of other characters i really like.
Imagine how I feel now though.
I have a lot of faith in his return though, lots of evidence for it too, and nothing will change my mind.

Then first time I saw my friend shoot Navia's umbrella I also had to get her.
Varka. Dude a drinking bro and looks awesome. I'm 99% sure I'll be puling for him.
My first ever time seeing her was when I casually watched one part of the 4.4 Lantern Rite where Hu Tao, Furina & Zhongli were talking, then Navia & Clorinde showed up a bit later and I was stunned by seeing Navia's outfit. I knew literally nothing about the context of the scene, nor did I know who Navia was at all, yet I instantly loved seeing her.
And now I adore her so much and how well written of a character she is
I somewhat slowly got through the main story, got Venti and Klee before I finally reached Ganyu's first cutscene, then I saw her and I recall I was streaming at the time and I said "That's the one, that's my main, I am saving all pulls until her release", and I went ahead and did just that (of course I still spent perma banner pulls, I just saved the primogems and any limited banner pulls I got) and after I saw her, I became far more invested in the story.
Then on her release, I C6'd her immediately with my saved up primos; I did buy the battlepass and welkin, and I did the first bonus top up.
Funnily enough, literally day before her release, I happened to get Amos' Bow from the perma banner.
To this day I still main her and do my best to try and slot her into the end-game, though it's becoming more and more difficult to do so.
Really hope that she gets the buff treatment soon, but even if she doesn't, I'll still play her for anything that allows me to play her.

First look at him i definitely said in my head not even a second was. "Dang he could be 12 inches deep in me. I wouldn't even give a fu"
I was saving for Itto once I learned about his character but then she was revealed and got some of my itto funds
Then the Winter Night Lazzo animation was released and I saw Arlecchino. The wait until Fontaine was eternal but it certainly was worth it.
In between those 2 Neuvillette came along and I loved him. I wanted to play him with Furina so I tried getting his C1... Which not only came early, but it brought along C2 as well. I ended up going for his C3 too.
I get attached to characters easily 😅
